This project, of a duration of 15 months, was implemented by the University of the Aegean (G ATHINE 41), with a grant from the Greek State University. Implementation time: 01.06.2016 to 30.09.2017 with prolongation until 31.05.2018.Its aim was to implement the Erasmus + Grants, to identify the mobility period for mobile workers, to exchange learning mobility, to encourage student / staff mobility, to keep up-to-date on the potential of the Program, to increase the mobility of the Foundation and to strengthen its international profile through the creation of new partnerships or the strengthening of existing ones. The University of the Aegean was awarded a grant of EUR 207,980.00 initially for the implementation of a total of 89 mobilities (25 students / three for study, 61 students for internships and 18 staff for teaching or training). An additional grant was requested from the National Agency / IKY to cover part of the initially allocated positions but also to support additional mobility.He received an additional grant to move 12 extra students for traineeship and 3 members of the Administrative-Teaching Staff for training. By drawing up the report of our Plan, it is finally apparent that the University Of the Aegean covered a total of 125 mobilities (28 for studies, 71 for internship, 15 for teaching and 11 for training), with a total absorption of € 233,238.00, corresponding to 112.14% of the total grant.For the implementation of this project cooperation and interaction with the Higher Education Institutions of the Program was required, as well as with Bodies for the reception of students for practical training. The implementation of the project has benefited all parties directly and indirectly. The transfer of scientific knowledge, the exchange of know-how, experiences and intercultural interactions have benefited in addition to individuals and organizations directly involved, and communities at wider local, regional and national levels.Individuals strengthened their personal, professional or academic skills and received academic recognition of their learning mobility period. The stakeholders have enriched the experience of cooperation, strengthened their mobility, created strong conditions for further cooperation in the future, both at European and international level, and generally strengthened their international profile.The University of the Aegean, through the implementation of this project, also had the opportunity to create adequate material for the promotion of the Program within and outside the university community, created the prospects for the continuous increase of its mobility in the next projects and organized an International Week of Teaching and Training of Personnel (International Teaching and Training Staff Week) from 23 to 26 May 2017 in Mytilene, within the framework of the Erasmus + European Program, with which he participated in the celebration of the 30 years of the program.

The EU in Public International Law: Selected Case-studies” is a Module concentrating primarilyon delivering lectures on the role and relevance of the EU in specific areas of great interest to theeveryday life of the European citizen. The selected case-studies will provide students with theopportunity to learn the fundamentals of the workings of specific international organizations andfora and understand how different sets of rules can affect the creation, adoption and implementation of decisions and policies at the European and national level.The two coinstructors (Prof. P. Grigoriou & Dr Isavella Vasilogeorgi) along with a host of invited guest lecturers, possess extensive academic and professional experience in the fields explored, thus guaranteeing an in-depth and up-to-date analysis of each case-study.Besides lectures, EUinPIL offers two more major contributions. First, a dedicated Handbook,closely following the structure of the lectures, will be the sum of 3 years of teaching and constantrefinement of the relevant research through the millstones of daily interaction with students.Second, a Conference summarizing addressing the research areas of the course and culminatingin the presentation of the Handbook, as an overarching body of work rounding up the totality of theresearch, input and experiences of the previous 3 years.EUinPIL emphasizes the need for the involvement of younger academics in the teaching of EUrelatedsubjects and is specifically tailored towards allowing them to obtain teaching experience,deepen their research and present it before specialized audiences.Through its tangible contributions and its impact on the professional development of youngeracademics, EUinPIL ensures the creation of added academic value and the expansion of the EUpool of knowledge, by delving into previously incompletely-charted waters.

Το συγκεκριμένο σχέδιο, αρχικά 16μηνης διάρκειας, υλοποιήθηκε από το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου (G ATHINE 41) με επιχορήγηση από την ΕΜΣ/ΙΚΥ στο πλαίσιο της Σύμβασης 2018-1-EL01-KA103-047094. Χρόνος υλοποίησης: από 01.06.2018 έως και 30.09.2019 με παράταση έως 31.05.2020 (σύμφωνα με την από 15/4/2019, 1η τροποποίηση της Σύμβασης) και στη συνέχεια με νέα παράταση έως 31/05/2021 (σύμφωνα με την από 29/5/2020, 2η τροποποίηση της Σύμβασης), λόγω της πανδημίας της SARS-Covid-19 που ενέσκηψε από τον Μάρτιο 2020 και των συνεπακόλουθων περιορισμών στις μετακινήσεις. Τελική συνολική διάρκεια: 36 μήνες.Στόχος του ήταν η υλοποίηση των προβλεπόμενων κινητικοτήτων με επιχορήγηση του Προγράμματος Erasmus+, η αναγνώριση της περιόδου και των μαθησιακών αποτελεσμάτων των μετακινούμενων φοιτητών/τριών, η ενίσχυση του διεθνούς προφίλ των μελών του προσωπικού, η ανταλλαγή μαθησιακών κινητικοτήτων, η ενθάρρυνση της κινητικότητας φοιτητών/τριων και προσωπικού, η συνεχής ενημέρωση για τις δυνατότητες του Προγράμματος, η αύξηση της κινητικότητας του Ιδρύματος και η ενίσχυση του διεθνούς του προφίλ μέσα από τη δημιουργία νέων συνεργασιών ή και την ενίσχυση των υφιστάμενων.Το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου επιχορηγήθηκε με το ποσό των 319.296 € για την υλοποίηση συνολικά 138 κινητικοτήτων (26 φοιτητών/τριών για σπουδές, 71 φοιτητών/τριών για πρακτική άσκηση και 41 μελών του Προσωπικού για διδασκαλία ή επιμόρφωση). Συντάσσοντας τον απολογισμό του Σχεδίου μας, προκύπτει τελικώς ότι το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου κάλυψε με επιχορήγηση συνολικά 135 κινητικότητες (29 για σπουδές, 68 για πρακτική άσκηση, 38 για διδασκαλία ή επιμόρφωση) πετυχαίνοντας απορρόφηση του ποσού των 264.364,00 €, το οποίο αντιστοιχεί στο 82,80 % επί της συνολικής επιχορήγησης. Οφείλουμε να επισημάνουμε ότι η πανδημία της SARS-Covid-19 που ενέσκηψε τον Μάρτιο 2020 και διήρκεσε όλη την υπόλοιπη περίοδο υλοποίησης του σχεδίου (έως 31/5/2021), με τους συνεπακόλουθους περιορισμούς στις μετακινήσεις των ατόμων που επιβλήθηκαν για υγειονομικούς λόγους, είχε ως επακόλουθο την ακύρωση κινητικοτήτων ή την υλοποίησή μέρους αυτών με εικονική (virtual) κινητικότητα (force majeure) και κατ’ επέκταση, τον περιορισμό της απορρόφησης της χρηματοδότησης. Για την εφαρμογή του συγκεκριμένου σχεδίου απαιτήθηκε η συνεργασία και η αλληλοεπίδραση με Ιδρύματα Ανώτατης Εκπαίδευσης Χωρών του Προγράμματος, όπως και με Φορείς για την υποδοχή φοιτητών/τριων για την πραγματοποίηση πρακτικής άσκησης. Από την υλοποίηση του σχεδίου επωφελήθηκαν όλα τα εμπλεκόμενα μέρη μεάμεσο και έμμεσο τρόπο. Η μεταφορά επιστημονικής γνώσης, η ανταλλαγή τεχνογνωσίας, εμπειριών και διαπολιτισμικών αλληλεπιδράσεων ωφέλησαν εκτός από τα άτομα και τους άμεσα εμπλεκόμενους Οργανισμούς, και τις κοινότητες σε ευρύτερο τοπικό, περιφερειακό και εθνικό επίπεδο. Τα άτομα ενίσχυσαν τις δεξιότητές τους σε προσωπικό, επαγγελματικό ή και ακαδημαϊκό επίπεδο και έλαβαν ακαδημαϊκή αναγνώριση της περιόδου μαθησιακής κινητικότητάς τους. Οι εμπλεκόμενοι φορείς εμπλούτισαν τις εμπειρίες συνεργασίας, ενίσχυσαν τις κινητικότητές τους, δημιούργησαν ισχυρές προϋποθέσεις περαιτέρω συνεργασίας στο μέλλον τόσο σε ευρωπαϊκό όσο και σε διεθνές επίπεδο, και γενικότερα ενίσχυσαν το διεθνές προφίλ τους. Το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, μέσα από την υλοποίηση του παρόντος σχεδίου, είχε επιπλέον την ευκαιρία δημιουργίας ικανού υλικού προώθησης του Προγράμματος εντός και εκτός της πανεπιστημιακής κοινότητας, και δημιούργησε τις προοπτικές για τη συνεχή άνοδο των κινητικοτήτων του στα επόμενα σχέδια. Η έναρξη υλοποίησης κινητικοτήτων με μέθοδο εικονικής (virtual) ή μικτής (blended) κινητικότητας, που επιβλήθηκε για υγειονομικούς λόγους στο πλαίσιο της πανδημίας της SARS-Covid-19 στο παρόν σχέδιο, προσέφερε τη δυνατότητα τόσο στους μετακινούμενους όσο και στο προσωπικό του Πανεπιστημίου που υποστηρίζει την υλοποίηση των κινητικοτήτων να εξοικειωθεί με την ψηφιακή διάσταση του προγράμματος, πολύτιμη εμπειρία που αναμένεται να αξιοποιηθεί περαιτέρω στο πλαίσιο του νέου προγράμματος Erasmus 2021-27

EPP-JM is a pluri-disciplinary postgraduate Module on “European Port Policy”, part of the curriculum of the one-year MSc in Shipping, Trade, and Transport (STT), degree, offered at the Business School, University of the Aegean, Greece since 1998. 39 teaching hours (27 teaching, 8 h tutorials, and 3h exams) spread over the second term of the academic year. Teaching activities to the students that attend per year are accompanied by (a) empirical student assignments via tutorials leading to (b) a round-table on EPP future, with groups of students representing institutions and stakeholders; (c) relevant books/documents catalog available to all studying EPP & European integration; (d) an annual public lecture by invited academics to communicate expertise to students & the general public; and (d) research and dissemination, via publications and an EE web-microsite.This is the single course offered by a European university devoted entirely to the progress of the specific European policy; it is also the only course of the MSc that allows a reading of the European institutional framework and increases familiarity with the EU decision-making and working practices.The core objective is to increase awareness of postgraduate students focusing on a specialized industry (shipping, transport), on the impact of European integration on transport markets and relevant sectors. Public lectures disseminate awareness to other students of the University and to citizens of the peripheral EU island of Chios in Greece.EPP-JM enables dissemination at a European scale via an EPP microsite that was integrated at the academic knowledge platform Porteconomics. The program also advances research on EPP - the professor responsible for the Module is (co)author of the book “European Port Policy” (2002) and research led to a number of research publications on port policy and governance issues.The project was in essence a renewal of the JM grants 2003-3171 and 2008-2939), that made the continuation of the Module possible.

Τhe Project was implemented by the University of the Aegean (G ATHINE 41) with a grant from the National Agency Erasmus+, and a duration period initially of sixteen months, which resulted to total period of two years, after an extent request. Implementation time commenced on 1.06.2015 and lasted until 31.05.2017 This project aimed to the realization of the global mobilities with a grant, for incoming and outgoing students and academic faculty, for studies, teaching and training purposes, in various academic institutions and fields. Taking into consideration the UAegean’s strategic plan for internationalization, the Erasmus policy statement and the modernization agenda for higher education, this project initially targeted and –drawing on the final review – accomplished the enhancement of global mobility, inter-institutional agreements beyond the European level and, finally, the depiction of the UAegean’s distinct character.The University of Aegean was initially subsidized to the amount of 203.446,62 € in order to implement a total of 74 mobilities for studies, teaching and training both for incoming and outgoing students and academic staff members. By achieving new co-operations with 23 academic institutions, in a range of seventeen geographical areas (the Balkans, the Russian Federation. Africa, America and Asia), it has strengthened existing agreements and finally achieved 71 out of the 74 mobilities, for all categories.The project’s implementation was highly supported through interaction with worldwide academic institutions and their respective academic, administrative and other staff, accumulating thus an outstanding input of academic knowledge, cultural characteristics, expertise and good practices.The participants of the project have enriched their professional, research and academic profile and they have created co-operations for future use. The local communities of the Aegean archipelago have benefited by the visits of important members of the world academic community, especially in times of the economic and social crisis and the work done on the UAegean’s island chain has been communicated globally. Finally the Erasmus Office’s administrative staff has successfully operated a new project and has implemented efficiently its modus operandi.
