    The European Researchers´ Night (ERN) in Slovakia is the biggest science popularisation event for broad audience taking place every year. Since 2007 it is established science event that brings interactive programme and science and innovation closer to citizens and ordinary people. The ERN traditionally takes place in September in unusual places - in shopping centres and public spaces. Innovative formats, direct interactions with scientists and informal setting of the project involves hundreds of researchers and it attracts thousands of visitors every year. Science show within the ERN takes place in unusual places – shopping centres and an old market hall - where it also attracts random visitors and people who normally would not be interested in the topic. Through an interactive programme it invites visitors to participate in science experiments, demonstrations, discussions and lectures and provides an opportunity for dialogue and exchange between science community and the Slovak society. The ERN focuses on young people and students, and it presents them science, and opportunities it provides thus motivating them to embark on research career. The science festival appeals to young audience and showcases research in an unconventional and entertaining way.

    The main objective of the project is the organization of the international conference “SET Plan 2016 - Central European Energy Conference X” during the presidency of the Slovak Republic in the second half of 2016. The SET Plan 2016 conference will be conjoined with the 10th annual Central European Energy Conference (CEEC X). The conference will aim to examine the process of accelerating the development and deployment of low-carbon technologies and creating the European Energy Union, focusing on the research and innovation strategy. Its ambition is to improve the visibility of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan and Energy Union, to identify policy options and priorities and to plan future actions. Based on that, the proposal stipulate these the main objectives of the SET Plan 2016 – Central European Energy Conference X: to examine achievements in the implementation of the Energy Union with a special focus on the role of its Research & Innovation dimension; to assess progress and evaluate the role of Central European member states in the implementation of the goals of the Energy Union within the other four priority dimensions of the Energy Union, including security of supply, creation of an integrated energy market, improving energy efficiency and reduction of emissions; to create a platform for a discussion, dialogue and networking for member states, civil society, business, science and academia, regional and local authorities and other stakeholders in the area of strategic energy technologies; to foster visibility and understanding of the Energy Union and the topic of Strategic Energy Technologies, and to disseminate information. Planned activities include plenaries and panel discussions with international keynote speaker, parallel thematic dinner sessions, side events, poster session and social events.

    The long term strategic objective of HubIT is to contribute to the high level of European research and innovation and ensure that H2020 funded and further ICT related innovation is responsible, inclusive and aimed at reversing inequalities. The direct objective of HubIT is to build a hub that will activate and improve constructive and co-creating interactions between SSH and ICT disciplines in developing and implementing a shared vision of inclusive HubIT will activate constructive interactions between the stakeholders forming the RRI-SSH eco-system via various network and engagement activities embedded intro the WP structure, that have the overall goal of developing a tangible European Framework Model for implementing responsible and inclusive ICT research and innovation. The Framework Model is a comprehensive set of jointly developed and used definitions, guidelines and tools for enforcing RRI and SSH issues in ICT research and innovation: • The concept of responsible R&I • Matrix of the key challenges • Tool for assessment of RRI and SSH perspectives in ICT within an organisation • Guidelines for responsible ICT R&I informed by SSH • Best Practice Repository • Fact Sheets and Policy briefs • Key measurable success indicators • Policy Recommendations • Virtual Matching Catalogue • HubIT exploitation plan The mechanisms for network building, engagement and awareness rising embedded in the WP structure are: • Advisory Board workshops • Expert Group workshops • Community building and knowledge sharing – national network events, thematic workshops, policy, SSH researchers and ICT industries workshops • Practical collaborations and experimentation - Common Ground Camps, Interactive ICT Labs, Inclusive Hackathons In total 35 network activities are implemented and in total 1140 participants. HubIT online platform will be the interactive environment, where the project tools and services can be accessed in modular, visually attractive and dynamic way.

    NUCL-EU 2020 is a 54 months Coordination and Support Action having the specific objectives to Ensuring high quality EURATOM NCP services on Nuclear Fission and Radiation Protection in Horizon 2020 programme to applicants; Lowering entry barriers for EURATOM NCPs approaching EU Framework Programme for R&I for the first time; Consolidating the network of EURATOM NCPs. NUCL-EU 2020 will take into consideration the significant changes that Horizon 2020 has brought about the EURATOM NCP mandate. With its brand new approach to R&I Horizon 2020 demands EURATOM NCPs: a) to address their services to a wider target, b) to have specific multidisciplinary competences. NUCL-EU 2020, whose consortium is composed by experienced and less experienced EURATOM NCPs from 7 countries, will tackle these challenges building up the NCP capacity by organizing benchmarking activities to identifying and sharing good practices, at least 7 interactive and at least 8 virtual training sessions and 7 twinning schemes (supporting at least 20 NCPs). The dialogue with participants will benefit of at least 2 enhanced cross-border brokerage events and 9 training sessions for stakeholders (2 per year). The project will also take special care of outreaching activities by extending the collaboration with other NCP thematic networks, working on partner search and cooperating on international relevant activities. Finally, communication within and outside the network and the dissemination of results will be ensured through the website, the development of promotion/ information materials, the participation at major events and PR activities and an e-mail alert service/newsletter. Throughout the project special attention will be paid to the diversity of stakeholders in the Nuclear Fission and Radiation Protection sectors, the gender dimension, as well as to establish links with other EU relevant initiatives, programmes and policies.
