    "Technical University - Sofia is a participant in ""Erasmus"" program from 1999 -2000. Through the means of the program more than 2700 students and staff have improved their studies, practical skills, teaching and professional qualification in the administration.The program is aimed at students – studies and training, and staff - teaching and training.Depending on the target group were carried out and the relevant procedures for participating in various kinds of mobility.Selection is made by calls for applications under clear and precise criteria. Attention is paid to the preparation for implementation of the mobility of students and staff, which contributes significantly to the results achieved from the implementation of the projectThe objectives of the program ""Erasmus +"" associated with acquiring new knowledge, qualification of both: students and teachers/ staff, strengthening cooperation with universities - partners, establish new contacts with universities, companies, enterprises etc.In the academic year 2015-2016, the Technical University - Sofia with its representatives participate in Erasmus+ program: KA1 Learning mobility for individuals, Mobility project for higher education students and staff with program countries. The total negotiated amount is higher than the 2014-2015 year, the participation is different in types of mobility. The total number of participants, although with fluctuations in some groups is growing steadily during the reporting period and reached 286 participants, 517.39,00 euros.Powered is cooperation with 19/33 countries. The predominant areas of knowledge are engineering and engineering trades; information and communications; business and administration. (reference is made to the new subject area codes ISED 2013).The main highlights of the work under program ""Erasmus+"" in the reporting period include the following activities:- Organisation of ""Erasmus+"" information days at the Technical University - Sofia separately for students and teachers;- Updating and improving the quality of the created website of the ""Erasmus+"" program on the general site of Technical University - Sofia, which significantly eases the departing and incoming students, agreement coordinators and administration;- Contacts and coordination activities with the partner universities to form topics and assignment of participants in activities;- Coordination with the faculties to form a number of participants in activities and countries;- Periodic updating of the number of participants by type of mobility to maximize the use of funds from the financial contract with HRDC;- Instructions to participants on the preparation of electronic statements in accordance with the new electronic system for management and reports ""Mobility tool+"".- Participation of representatives of the sector ""International Integration"" in workshops organized by HRDC and other institutions in the country and abroad."

    "Technical University - Sofia (TUS, TU - Sofia) is the largest higher education institution in Bulgaria, which trains students under the ""technical sciences"" in educational degrees bachelor, master and doctor. The university held and proved the effectiveness of its policy of international cooperation and internationalization through the implementation of a number of cooperation agreements with countries in Asia, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The policy of internationalization of TUS is to open and expand the circle of contacts and areas of cooperation to all countries.The University has a proven experience in project management and an active participant in the Erasmus program from 1999-2000. The new program ""Erasmus +"" with an integrated approach to education, training, youth and sports activities create opportunities for a new kind of cooperation: mobility with partner countries from different regions of the world. According to the strategic objectives of the European Commission to expandthe impact of higher education in the EU's neighboring regions in 2015-2016 academic year, the TU -Sofia was awarded a project with Universite Libre del Sud (ULS), Institute Politechnices des Science Avancee (IPSAS) Sfax, Tunisia. Located in the industrial area of Tunis, the university provides qualified engineers for important industry branches: in the processing of metals and materials of mineral origin, machine components for furniture, food industry and shipping case. The main goal in mobility projects is the exchange of students in the master's course in various engineering fields, an opportunity to develop graduation projects at leading companies, partners of both universities The proposed mobility covering target groups of key players in HEI of program and partner country (students and teachers), ie ensure knowledge transfer and good practice of the learning process. The overwhelming desire of students from Tunisia to develop graduation projects in the field of renewable energy sources in which TU - Sofia has years of experience and development. Students who were trained at the Technical University - Sofia received the skills and qualifications in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework.Mobility of teachers provides an opportunity to promote the teaching of French in engineering. To be developed doctoral programs under the dual leadership of professors from both organizations and this is expected to be the most serious perspective of the established partnership."
