The Catholic University of Avila is a young private university, which since its inception has been committed to providing a learning and teaching experience that includes an international dimension and the Erasmus+ programme is a key part in achieving this goal.. UCAV has a number of well-established Erasmus student movility programmes, that we have given continuity this year. In order to encourage increased participation in Erasmus mobility, UCAV promotes the benefits within its colleges and departments through dissemination activities, presentations and poster sessions. Among the activities to encourage participation in Erasmus+, we organized an Orientation Week, information sessions (face-to-face and by streaming) and presentation by returned Erasmus students. The impact of the actions has been very positive and there has been an increased interest of our administrative and teaching staff to participate in mobility. During the last two years we have observed an increase in the number of new personnel having participated in Erasmus, which is our goal number one.In the Erasmus+ 2016 call we have received 23 applications for mobility for study purposes. 9 students resigned before starting their mobility due to family problems, participation in another mobility programme or because they started some internship in local enterprises here in Ávila. The students who participated in the Erasmus+ call were from the following areas: Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Administration and Business Management / Economics / Physiotherapy / Agricultural and Rural Engineering. Our students' favorite places are the Eastern countries, such as Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic, for the most affordable cost of living. With respect to the mobility of teachers and administrative staff of the UCAV we have registered a remarkable increase. At the beginning of the academic year we have received 22 applications, of which 6 training mobilities and 4 teaching mobilities have been carried out. The rest of the mobilities could not be carried out due to the withdrawel of the participants. We aim to optimize the international impact through the experiences acquired by our professors during their Erasmus mobility. Thanks to these our professors have established new research contacts. And also our students have benefited from the mobilities of our professors in form of new aspects and contents in teaching methods. To ensure that our students are deepening in the process of globalization and internationalization, UCAV fosters and supports the visits of incoming teaching staff, which number has increased. Students gain experience on global topics and perspectives through teaching visits from our partner institutions. Students also benefit from studying in another language. To enhance the campus climate for international students and promote diversity and inclusion we organize a welome party every semester, use the buddy system, offer Spanish langage classes to them. The impacto of Erasmus in the community is huge. Returned Erasmus students are getting jobs easier than other students in the local businesses. here is a percentage of ex-Erasmus that has been able to benefit from a first job in companies such as Deloite, Onyx Solar, Deutsche Bank, Michelin or Banco Santander. The expected benefits in the long term move in this direction. We also expect benefits from teaching mobility will grow and have an impact on their research and on their students.

Although the student did not go to Paris but to another place in France, she did not feel safe anymore. We offered to change her destiny, but she did not want to continue with her application for mobility. Students from the following areas participated in the mobility project 2015-16: Degree in Agriculture / Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Degree in Forestry / Degree in Physiotherapy and Degree in Business Administration. With respect to the mobility of professors and administrative staff of the UCAV, they performed 5 mobilities for training and 5 for teaching. We aim to optimize the international impact by using the experiences gained through Erasmus teaching visits abroad.
