Kozminski University(KU) is an international business school located in Central Europe, providing education programs in Business, Management, Social Science and Law, whose excellent quality has been certified with a number of international accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA). Through its research programs, KU contributes to the development of knowledge both in Poland and internationally. KU’s total number of students stands at approx. 8,000. International students, enrolled mostly on the English Track, represent more than 60 nationalities. Our priority has always been to promote intercultural dialogue, student and faculty mobility, and to create modern educational and academic programs that respond to the current needs of the market.Internationalization, and in particular measures in the framework of the Erasmus+ Program, are and shall remain an important part of KU’s development strategy, pursued in cooperation with both UE Member States and non-EU countries. KU’s mission in the field of international exchange is to allow its participants to share their knowledge and experience within global markets.KU supports international projects and initiatives aimed at students and academic staff through a continuous development of international student and staff exchange programs. KU has signed over 200 bilateral agreements with prestigious educational institutions worldwide with a view to encouraging as many of our students and staff as possible to gain unique international experience. KU provides its students with the possibility to study in over 100 institutions in Europe (within the framework of the Erasmus+) and nearly 100 outside of the EU, on five continents.http://www.kozminski.edu.pl/en/about-kozminski/international-cooperation/partner-universities/. In 2017-2019, a total of 346 students and staff participated in KA103 Erasmus+ project. The International Relations Office (IRO) is as a central unit in charge of organizing and monitoring all international mobility projects. In addition to managing student and staff exchange programs, IRO’s tasks include inviting and hosting international lecturers and entrepreneurs, ambassadors, prominent researchers and scientists and Nobel Prize winners. A complete list of our guests is available at http://www.kozminski.edu.pl/en/about-kozminski/international/guests/. Other offices participating in the process of KU’s internationalization: - Centre of Excellence responsible for relations with alumni and MBA projects, - Academic Research Support Office, in charge of implementing research and development projects - KIBS, or Kozminski International Business School, managing academic programs in English for regular and exchange students, - undergraduate programs: http://www.kozminski.edu.pl/en/programs/undergraduate-programs-bachelor/ (Management, Finance and Accounting) - graduate programs (full time/part time) http://www.kozminski.edu.pl/en/programs/graduate-programs-msc/ (Master’s Degree in International Business, Finance and Accounting) At present, KU provides approximately 200 courses in English. Furthermore, students from partner universities can participate in PhD programs held at KU: - PhD: http://www.kozminski.edu.pl/en/programs/doctorate-phd/ - MBA: http://www.kozminski.edu.pl/en/programs/executive-programs-mba-etc/Executive MBA The Erasmus+, initiated in 1999 along with the Socrates Program, forms a significant part of the process of KU’s internationalization. EU financing granted in the framework of the Socrates, and later the Erasmus programs have been of great support for the process of building relations with our European partners; one of its key aspects is the organization of student and staff exchange. Each year, financing in the framework of the Erasmus+ program proves of great consequence for: 1. student exchange projects and internships, 2.staff exchange and professional development projects, 3. recent KU graduates, 4. development of partneships, 5. creating innovative, quality academic programs, 6. projects aimed at expanding knowledge and exchanging skills and experiences, 7. development of teaching methods, 8. acquisition of language skills. As internationalization forms an important part of KU’s mission, we place particular emphasis on innovative thinking, based on open-mindedness and “added value”, which is further stimulated by multicultural experiences. Thus far, the development of international relations within KU has been focused on students and teaching/administrative staff exchange programs, joint research projects and publications, double degrees, academic programs in English, international schools and seminars held annually, the exchange of academic resources and other scientific information, special academic programs, i.e. staff weeks and summer schools, as well as joint projects aimed at the development of tools and methods supporting teaching and learning.
