IT is present in almost all HEIs activities and, as a result of this importance, is a strategic asset that needs to be managed in an effective and efficient way. Moreover, IT will transform the way education is delivered, managed and accessed by students. On the other hand, IT Governance is one of the concerns for organizations all over the world. IT Governance is the organizational capacity to control the formulation and implementation of IT strategy and in this way ensure the fusion of business and IT. Apart from generic IT Governance models and standards (COBIT, Calde-Moir, ISO/IEC 38500, …), literature reported several efforts on IT Governance for HEIs, being University-oriented IT Governance Frameworks in Spain, one of the most important, cited and recent ones [1] and the pioneering work from Juiz [2]. This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four european universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying IT Governance (including ITG4U and dFogit) framework models from three different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new IT governance framework to be implemented in several Universities in Tunisia. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Tunisian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Tunisia. The emergence of new technologies in the Biotechnology has encouraged the renewal of industrial strategies and the growth of innovative companies creating new jobs. The present project aims at modernizing higher education, strengthening the LMD reform and consolidating the quality of education in Tunisian biotechnology institutes in order to improve the qualifications and qualification of graduates in order to guarantee a better insertion rate in the labor market in various sectors: pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and environmental industries. It aims particularly to make the training courses in the biotechnology paths more professional to match the needs of the world of work and thus optimize the employability, the speed of integration and the entrepreneurship spirit of graduates. This project proposal aligns with higher education reforms in the partner country (Tunisia) which promote university-business cooperation and encourage new learning methods based primarily on entrepreneurship. The project will be enriched by the contributions of the European universities members of the project through the transfer of expertise and good practices for quality training compatible with European standards and meeting the socio-economic needs of Tunisia.

In the first phase, there will be meetings to setting up a functional structure and there will be surveys for analysis of universities / food industries relation. Then, the partners will participate in the analysis of the current educational system and methodology, the qualification of higher education teaching staff. The main aim is in developing and modernizing teaching tool methodology for current and future TN higher education.Throughout the project, new tools and methodology will be exchanged. Moreover, the project will implent modern prototype virtual laboratories, professional integration unit and food technology platform devoted to helping all participants to be more successful in their future job and this can promote sustainability of universities/food industries cooperation. The all project activities description and the dissemination of the project's results will be published on the WEB site and via a network of associated partners. Ultimately, all consortium will be active to ensure quality assurance, monitoring and management of the project.

That is why numerical modelling is steadily gaining ground in a range of STEM related fields ranging from mechanical reliability of bridges to the design of medically implantable devices. Numerical modelling allows for quick and inexpensive testing without needing to build physical devices, gives insight and understanding into different phenomena, can be used to design products/solutions and can be used to optimize processes. Furthermore in order to create real world solutions and to transform the education, the technical training needs to be coupled with business training. PYTHAGORAS addresses those needs and will provide a total of 8 educational modules (physical and online) covering topics from numerical modelling and design to entrepreneurship and business skills. Those modules can stand alone and can be used to update and modernize existing curricula. The education will be applied for solving real life problems with (3 expected) case studies specified from Egypt and Tunisia and with the students presenting a business case on the solutions they developed. The training will be for the next generation of innovators: University graduate and undergraduate students and professionals (target is over 200) and for professors who will be shaping the next generation of students (target 20). The activities also include setting up of interconnected labs and engaging the labour market. The impact will be on increase of the skill set of the participants, improvement of employment prospects, development of an engineering innovation culture where modernized knowledge (based on advanced numerical and digital methods) is applied and taken to the market.

MIGRANTS Project aims to improve the Partner Universities’ institution building processes by adopting a strategy builds on a pedagogical approach who links personal empowerment to institution building processes in order to guarantee the specific objectives and expected results. MIGRANTS main objective is to develop a new study programme: a Joint Master Degree in “Migration Studies: Governance, Policies and Cultures” between the three Partner Universities: Tunis El Manar University, Tunis University and El Manouba University. The Joint Master Degree will be an interdisciplinary two years programme offered in English that will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges presented by international migration. A close relationship will run with a network of stakeholders in every step of teaching, training and placement activities. The Master Degree will be open to 25 students coming from Tunisia, MENA and Sub-Saharan Region and Europe, and will start by September 2021. The capacity building process supported by MIGRANTS Project will improve the Tunisian teaching staff's capabilities by a program of training that will be achieved trough lessons, workshops, seminars, international Summer School, participation to international scientific publications, mentoring and coaching activities shared with European colleagues, and job-shadowing activities, and by supporting the teaching staff in acquiring PhD certifications. 20 teaching staff will be involved in the Training of Trainers Action, (8 from Tunis El Manar University, 6 from Tunis University, an 6 from El Manouba University).
