The aim is to provide practical solutions to help close the gap between industry needs/expectations and educational system outputs, by creating a STE(A)M education master programme. The later will train in-service and future educators at all levels of education to implement STEAM-related courses in the target countries. Innovative learning material and services will be also developed offering educators a multidisciplinary perspective and participating universities the chance to exchange best practises, modernize, renew and align their curricula towards multidisciplinary skills and competencies necessary for rapidly changing job markets. In this context, the consortium will transfer significant know how from the European Educational System that will be used by the partner country Institutions to design an advanced MSc Curriculum for STE(A)M education. The absence of such a degree makes the need for its design and introduction pressing and the consortium envisages that this effort will spearhead similar endeavors in other Western Balkan countries. The Master’s Programme combines the diversity of expertise of leading European Universities and offers education oriented to a multidisciplinary understanding through the involvement of experts from complementary fields. The aim of this MSc programme is to enhance future and in-service educators, in order to:• develop a broad theoretical base reflecting current cutting edge research in STE(A)M education• comprehend and demonstrate specialised knowledge and skills in cross-disciplinary approaches• choose and use appropriate methods for active learning while teaching STE(A)M• design, develop and evaluate curricula and materials for STE(A)M-related courses• equip with the knowledge and skills to solve complex workplace problems and find flexible, intelligent, innovative solutions at the professional level• identify, design and implement effective STE(A)M-related training and development programmes

STINT emphasizes problems which are related to non conformities of procedures for recognition of qualifications in accordance with international documents within EHEA. Existing legislation in B&H concerning recognition of foreign qualifications hasn't been completely harmonized with Lisbon Recognition Convention. Without harmonized recognition procedures mobility of students, teachers and nonteaching staff can't be realized on the appropriate way. In comparison to internationalisation recognition mechanisms represents the cornerstone of the internationalisation of HE and mobility. The project activities are focused on institutional and national strengthening of internationalisation and recognition mechanisms. Projects outputs are oriented on detail analysis of current state in B&H, strengthening of HEIs through developing and implementing strategies and indicators for internationalization, improving national recognition model, improving HEIs capacities (human and physical), developing of criteria for assessing internationalisation and theirs incorporation in existing criteria for accreditation of HEIs.All project results will be published and available to public in order to ensure that different target groups achieve the projects benefits. Taking into consideration different cultural context, linguistic diversity, all important documents will be translated on local languages in order to be understandable and useful to wider audience, with respect that deeper project goals are focused on employment, continuation of education, cooperation with international institutions, etc.Expected impact of the project is modernisation of HE system in B&H as well as strengthening of HEIs capacities for internationalisation. Established and harmonized B&H recognition system should contribute to creating linkage between Lisbon Recognition Convention and EHEA Mobility Strategy 2020.

The Idealist2027 vision is to supply the National Contact Points (NCPs) responsible for digital destinations in Horizon Europe with the tools, knowledge and expertise they need to better serve the digital research community applying for funding from Horizon Europe. Through transnational collaboration, synergies with other digital programs and other cluster 4 NCPs networks, and special network activities Idealist2027 will enhance NCP capacities to facilitate stronger, more impactful European projects. The project focuses on four key objectives: 1.Bringing NCPs to a common understanding of the EU digital landscape, future digital trends, policies, and funding opportunities. 2.Lowering barriers for newcomers, particularly SMEs and widening countries, ensuring broader engagement in digital initiatives and creating better impact on the digital landscape. 3.Connecting digital communities to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders. 4.Integrating the components of Cluster 4 to benefit NCPs, applicants, and stakeholders through synergies across Digital, Industry, and Space. Idealist2027 introduces new services, such as the Horizon Intelligence task, which will analyze Evaluation Summary Reports (ESRs) to provide data-driven insights to NCPs, enabling them to better guide proposers, and will continue to offer very successful services such as Idea check and proposal check. By building on the experience of previous Ideal-ist projects and fostering cooperation within Cluster 4, Idealist2027 will create a more cohesive and supportive environment for NCPs and their stakeholders. The project will ensure compliance with the FAIR principles for data management and will collaborate closely with other Cluster 4 NCP projects. Idealist2027 aims to strengthen the European digital research community, paving the way for successful participation in Horizon Europe and the next Framework Programme.

The development of urban agriculture (UA), sustainable agriculture and green economy in the Western Balkan (WB) region allows to support and strengthen prospects for farming, but also society in general. The BUGI project offers capacity-building for different stakeholder groups, like students, graduates/workforce, businesses, researchers and teachers, but also towards planning and infrastructure domains. The starting point of the project was an analysis of existing business models, preferences and capacities in the agricultural sector in WB countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BA), Kosovo (XK), and Montenegro (ME), as well as an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses and needs of WB Higher Education Institutes (HEI). These analyses were used to define a framework for curricula for new master and life-long learning (LLL) study programs in UA in the WB region, teachers training, and infrastructure for curriculum implementation. The WB teaching staff underwent 7 study visits to EU partner HEIs and urban agriculture farms and initiatives gaining needed expertise and fostering an international partnership between EU and WB partners. As part of the master programme some required accompanying activities took place, namely learning guide for teachers, skills and competence evaluation guide, module placement guide and diploma supplement were developed for the master programme. The new curricula were successfully developed, accredited and implemented by WB partners with the help and support of EU partners. Univ. of Sarajevo (UNSA) and Univ. of Mostar (UNMO) started with master programme implementation in 2019, and Univ. Donja Gorica (UDG) and Univ. of Pristine (UP) (for UP and Univ. of Peja (UHZ) students) in 2021. Since the new curricula utilise ICT tools and competency-based learning methodology and foster collaboration with the entrepreneurial sector through project-based work, teachers attended two workshops on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Experiential Learning (EL) in competence-based learning and Distance Learning (DL). The new teaching material for master and LLL courses was developed in local languages and English. WB partners signed a multilateral interinstitutional agreement to foster cooperation on common ECTS design and for the virtual and physical exchange of students and/or staff in the context of the master study programme in UA. Two XK partners signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the study master programme UA and LLL training programme. Special attention was given to collaboration with further stakeholders in order to promote sustainable development and a green economy in the region. It resulted in starting a green entrepreneurship e-portal and android application under the BUGI umbrella - a platform where producers (farmers) meet consumers and vice-versa. LLL modules for BA and ME partners were delivered with the support of the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency (SERDA), while UHZ implemented the LLL programme for XK partners. WB HEIs visibility and capacity to deliver more attractive education and training have been increased in line with program countries practices and experiences. The project resulted in the implementation of new state-of-the-art teaching/learning environments accompanied with appropriate transferable competencies and entrepreneurial skills and partnership with the business sector aiming for strengthening students’ employability and possibility for self-employment. It also promotes cross-cultural experience and increases partners HEIs capacity to answer changes in societal needs, sustainable agriculture and green economy.
