"The Renewable Energy Directive establishes an overall policy for the production and promotion of energy from renewable sources in the EU. It requires the EU to fulfil at least 20% of its total energy needs with renewables by 2020 – to be achieved through the attainment of individual national targets. We established this partnership with a view to raising the awareness of students about the necessity to increase the use of renewable sources of energy, which is expected to increase by 7% in the next 10 years all over Europe (RED). We want them to gain an in-depth knowledge of how these sources of energy are used, make them experiment with them through STEM and Project Based Learning, draw their attention to benefits and drawbacks of all energy sources and provide a context for critical and creative thinking, in which sts assess, research and analyse, produce tangible outputs collaboratively. It will be a two-year project. We'll carry out 6 LTT activities. In these 6 LTT activities 4 students (at the age of 14-18) and 2 teachers will join every project meeting. The Project ""Let's Change the world with renewable energy"" will be implemented by a partnership consisting of six secondary schools from: Poland, Turkey, Latvia, Belgium, Macedonia and Slovenia. All of them are general education school (secondary level)The project aims to set the grounds for 6 partner countries to cooperate and share practices in the area of renewable energy resources, Climate C., sustainable production and consumption through activities designed for students which are meant to:1. develop their understanding about scientific concepts and processes in production of sustainable energy2. develop their overall awareness about alternative sources of energy and how their usage can be enhanced3. improve skills and competences through interdisciplinary projects in the STEM field4. improve 4C skills of students5. enable teachers to share school models and practices in the areas of STEM that can be transferred into their schools6-be concious on CC and its effectsACTIVITIESC1 Renewable Energy, Waste ManagementC2 Wind Energy and STEMC3 Water energy and STEMC4 Solar Energy and STEMC5 Effects of climate change on renewable energy resourcesC6 Sustainable Energy, designing smart, green city modelsWith these activities, we'll deal with various forms of renewable energy such as making windmill, watermill, solar panel, model of future green city, recycling and develop artistic-cultural perspective of students, to help them enriching and bringing out their hidden 21st Century skills.RESULTS- presentations about renewable energy sources and statistics and trends from 6 partner countries- posters for campaigns encouraging European citizens to use solar energy more.- presentations about alternative building systems- models of buildings using alternative types of insulating materials- simulations of power plants- STEM projects – watermill, wind mill, solar cookers etc.- research data and conclusions- simulations/models of sustainable citiesTeachers will produce exchange reports in which we will include data measuring the quality of the activities, the impact of the activities on participants, pictures and videos taken during the exchanges.Other deliverables: Europass mobility documents, initial and final evaluation forms, feedback forms, self-assessment sheets, student observation sheets, participants’ testimonials, dissemination platforms, eTwinning communication platform, project final brochure “STEM ideas for highschool”.All of our activities will be implemented by a wide range of innovative teaching methods both in and outside of school, incorporating: Critical thinking, digital competence, collaboration and team work, communication skills, personal and social responsibility and metacognition.IMPACT-Students, their families and teachers gain a more environmentally friendly lifestyle by being critical of how their energy is produced-Students and teachers develop personally and professionally-Enabling young people to explore the possibility of influencing local, national and European policies and decision making processes concerning energy production-Providing an active contribution to social capital through the promotion of renewable energy sources which boasts of quality and cost effectivenessThrough project activities, schools'll promote its image in the local community as an institution that prepares students for the future and aligns to the 21st century needs. Cooperation with local community will improve through partnerships and agreements with local experts and businesses in energy field. Local authorities will be invited to attend some of the project activities, which will lay the basis for future cooperation among local institutions in other projects related to renewable energy or similar. Schools will acquire/develop a European dimension which shows openness/flexibility to ever-changing world of education."

« To be or not to be addicted ? that is the question ! Am-I ? » is a project born from the common and known concern to understand better what is at stake with addictions, their consequences on our young population, teenagers mostly. By awakening our teenagers to the inherent mechanisms which « imprison » them and to the numerous and diverse consequences, often dreadful and painful, whether it be on a psychological, physical or social point of view, they are subjected to, we also wish to fight one negative and important result of addictions ; school drop-out which is most of the time the outcome of their consumption. An internal study and survey made in 2019 in our school showed this topic was at the core of most of our issues. We decided to open that topic on a large scale and we created and filed this project on e-twinning which enabled us to find and cooperate with 5 European partners who were thrilled at the idea of this theme and eager to answer and work on this project for the same reasons ; fighting shcool drop-out, promoting the European spirit, awakening our teenagers to their European citizenship which they tend to ignore or neglect, and to practice languages (French and English) ; This topic is the cement of our virtual cooperation first and maybe more !. Our main objectives are :-To awaken to the mechanisms and consequences of addictions in our modern society-To find the means to fight addictions-To develop transversal and interdisciplinary skills-To use the I.T tools -To exchange on our methods and share experience to improve our common skills-To awaken to their European citizenship-To promote integration and mobility-To awaken to the cultural differences and to the respect of other cultures-To develop the « European feeling » (being part of Europe)-To promote our students’ skills and social and professional integrationThe students will all be of the same age (13 to 19 years old) and from diverse fields of study. The French coordinating school is a vocational school training and forming students in the professional fields of sales and marketing, electrotechnics and logistics. The other European partners are either technical schools, general schools and vocational schools. They will bring diversity which will also be a force for this project. It will imply students, various social and professional organisations to manage and understand the addictions and the apprehensions they create in order to promote a common message of prevention. We will confront the different views and ways of living, the analysis and common critics will put an emphasis results which will be exposed and validated by professionals. In the end, these activities and common works will enable our students to become more responsible, more independent and more respectful of their well-being and of their body and mind, to broaden their state of mind and to increase their self-esteem by sharing and confronting with others. We will edit our productions on various supports for everyone to consult ; families, institutions and medias. The results will be posted on the e-twinning and Erasmus platforms. They will be fed with the productions as we get on with the activities. To reach these objectives, we plan activities on a two-year period. This experience will definitely benefit everyone and will open up new perspectives for our students.
