The Step Forward project was primarily aimed at people willing to gain new skills and prepare themselves to enter the labor market through participation in European Voluntary Service. The implemented activities had been concentrated around working with children, youth, learning pedagogy and non-formal methods, creating a plan of work with children, engaging in social exclusion-threatening environments, conducting youth information workshops, promoting mobility projects, conducting lectures and events related to history and the cultural heritage of Lublin, human rights and equality of women.7 volunteers from Spain, Georgia, Germany and Azerbaijan participated in the project in 4 organizations from Lublin and Lublin's district. The activities of the EVS project lasted from 3 September 2015 until 7 November 2016.During the mobility process, volunteers based their actions on the project's assumptions and mission by integrating with the local community, promoting the values of adopting civic and European attitudes and by building openness, tolerance and respect for other cultures among the population. The result of the project was to develop specific skills and key competences of the participants, increasing their chances in the labor market in their origin countries. The experience, which they've gained showed a variety of possibilities for developing a career path in the hobbies of the volunteers as well as in the activities to which they demonstrated particular capabilities during mobility. The project also met with wide attention from local communities and local institutions about promoting multiculturalism and volunteering.

"<< Objectives >>The main goal of the project was to involve young people in social activities and engage them in social and civic activities, responding to the most relevant problems and issues confronting young people. Through the "" ImpacTV"" project, young people from Poland, Spain and North Macedonia increased their awareness in the area of taking social and civic initiatives. We were able to achieve this through a series of workshops, conducted as part of the youth exchange, and the realization of the final product, which was the ""Improvised TV Station."" This event aimed to encourage and motivate other youth to actively participate in society at the local, regional and national levels, using well-known online working tools, i.e. Social Media i.e. Instagram, Facebook. The youth managed to achieve the planned goals by: Participation in storytelling workshops - allowed participants to increase their competence in narration and construction of coherent stories; Participation in workshops on social media communication - allowed them to become more familiar with social media platforms, provided them with the skills to create videos, create media content that is catchy and through them to reach out to their peers, attaching importance to the quality and essence of information transmission online; Participants of the project using their skills, experiences and newly gained knowledge, worked together to create content that will interest young people to be active, show the various opportunities that come from conscious choices for social involvement They used their potential using out-of-the-box ideas to inspire and set an example for young people in Europe to act socially. Our goals for the ""ImpacTV"" project were fully realized, giving satisfaction to the participants and its initiators, who were able to keep track of their progress, noting how their message was reaching young audiences.<< Implementation >>The project involved 21 participants, coming from 3 different countries - Poland, Spain and North Macedonia (age range 17 - 31). The group consisted of 18 young participants and 3 leaders, as well as a facilitator who supported the group and watched over its development. The youth exchange project involved from the Polish group 9 participants, from North Macedonia - 5 participants, including 2 under-age participants who were under the care of their leader, and Spain - 7 participants. Those who expressed their willingness to participate in the initiative are young people who, on a daily basis, engage in social and civic activities in their environment as volunteers in their local communities. The young people, who come from different parts of the world, decided to carry out the initiative together in order to be able to influence their peers with their behavior and commitment and mobilize them for pro-social activities. The Youth Exchange lasted 7 days, where the young people spent this time actively participating in workshops taking place in the center of Lublin, Poland. The intensive week focused on building group integrity, teambulding, non-formal education and looking for ways and opportunities on how to engage the public in social activities and actions. The youth also improved their competencies in implementing their own projects and mobility in the EU. During the mobility, young people were actively engaged in a series of more than 40h workshops on how to create videos, how to present themselves in front of cameras, how to deal with the stress that occurs during public speaking, how to skillfully tell stories and influence audiences by building content and correct message delivered to the media. In addition, participating in group integration and team-building sessions, as well as writing down the contract and rules that applied during the exchange were important aspects that united the participants and made them feel secure. Being located in the center of the city of Lublin, gave the young people a broader insight into the possibilities the city offers in contacting opportunities for social and civic engagement. Participants visited the Academic Radio Center of the University of Lublin, where they were able to see from the technical side what it is like to host a radio program and what the work of a radio presenter looks like. They visited the Youth Information and Development Center, the Academic Cultural Center Chatka Żaka, met with representatives of the European Youth Capital 2023, during a meeting with a representative of EuroPeers, the participants were presented with further opportunities and a variety of activities of Erasmus+ and EKS programs - how to get started, how to participate, how to act. Young people also took part in a city game in which they discovered and learned about Polish culture, and the Polish group was able to present their country to other project participants. An additional aspect of learning about the cultures and traditions of each country, took place during the organization of a cultural evening, during which young people could share their regional delicacies, music or customs. In the final activity, all participants of the project created an event in the form of a live performance - an improvised TV station - ""Improvised TV Station"" ""Improvised TV Station"", to which they invited the volunteers of the Sempre a Frente Foundation and the local community of the city of Lublin - children, students and adults, at which they presented the possibilities of activities, promoting social and civic attitudes, encouraging the initiation of activities, influencing public opinion and involvement in social media. Through music, dance, with a dose of humor, they made full use of their potential and creativity.<< Results >>he project allowed the exchange participants to become proficient in the use of tools that allow the creation of valuable and attractive content on Social Media, and allowed them to gain valuable experience, influencing today's reality. The development of new competencies and, above all, new skills allowed the participants to make real changes in their daily environment With their conscious action they are able to skillfully engage and mobilize others to join in social and civic initiatives. Their contribution and involvement in the project has opened them up to initiating their own actions, influencing their peer environment. It was their co-participation, ability to work in a group, and creativity that contributed to the multidimensional effect of the final exchange. Knowledge in the area of self-development through the ability to deal with stress when performing in front of an audience and cameras boosted the participants' self-confidence, as was evident from their self-observation and the feedback they gave at the end of the exchange. Presenting themselves and being able to construct content as messages in intenet, inspiring and motivating stories strengthened the participants' knowledge of storytelling. Participation in the project itself made the youngsters increase their notion of the most varied local, national or European opportunities through participation in programs and at all kinds of activity intensities. As a result, they then became involved in other activities in the local and international arena. Thanks to our exchange, some participants began to co-create content for their organizations, some dared to go on more youth exchanges, start a blog or create their own project. Of the Polish participants, two decided to join local projects promoting volunteering and involvement in Lublin schools. Workshop work on Social Media allowed them to understand the key issues concerning them, i.e. how social media works, the impacts and consequences of information messages on users of social networks, and what has a greater and lesser impact on the effectiveness of reaching the audience. They learned the principles of AIDA-marketing funnel and EAST, how to map audiences, what tools (applications, sites) to use to make their content as successful as possible. Familiarization with the aforementioned processes and mechanisms, resulted in an increased willingness to engage in pro-social activities and activate the peer group for similar behavior. The sheer willingness to take initiatives strengthened the participants' sense of purpose in their mobility. And creating content and communicating their needs through social media reinforced their belief in the value and how much impact they have on their peer community (especially after discussions with Europeers). Thanks to the outreach and promotional activities they undertook, we were able to attract a new audience, willing to engage in pro-social activities, and new volunteers. This has a tremendous impact on the quality of the young people's performance in social media, who with the acquired knowledge, experience, new skills are more aware of their activities. Mobility itself also had a significant impact on the perception of the labor market by the participating youth, projecting their foreign language skills, personal and social development, and participation in the process of non-formal education, enabled the prospect of soft skills development. Progressive methods and ways of high-performance teaching strengthened the effects of the work, offering new opportunities in transferring this knowledge to more young people, in promoting the idea of social and civic activities involving local schools and international organizations."

"<< Objectives >>The assumptions of this project were created after consultation and exchange of experiences with partner organizations that participated in 6 trainings, organized cyclically by Sempre a Frente Foundation between 2016-2018 in cooperation with a constantly expanding network of partners.People who participated in previous trainings (youth workers, psychologists, pedagogues, volunteers), emphasized that on the one hand more and more often they feel the lack of skills and ignorance of digital competences understood both as the ability to communicate effectively using on-line tools, as well as the lack of knowledge and skills in handling specific applications that can potentially be used in the broader context of their work - combating exclusion and strengthening the social commitment of young people. On the other hand, there is a noticeable difference between the level of such skills among young people themselves, and what follows is the need to educate them in this area. The main objective of the project is to support people working in organizations working with young people at work in the area of supporting the development of digital competences in young people, and thus increasing their social involvement and reduction of exclusion. Why digital competence?Digital (IT) competencies are, according to the European Commission, one of the most important areas of the 8 key competences in the process of lifelong learning, which are necessary for full participation in society. In this approach, they can be defined as the free and critical use of technology to achieve goals related to work, employment, learning, leisure and participation in social life. Digital competences belong to transversal skills, ie they are and are necessary in acquiring competences in other areas. As such, they fit not only into the assumptions of the Erasmus + Program, but above all in the broad educational strategy of the EC.What's more, research shows (including the VCC Foundation, 2018) that many people on the labor market still do not have sufficient digital competence. As a result of the work of the Joint Research Center at the Institute of European Technological Perspectives Research (JRC IPTS), a document bearing the name of the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens, commonly referred to as the DigComp Frame, was developed. This framework was the basis for constructing the assumptions of our project. We want to include in our training the topic of development of digital competences in 4 thematic blocks based both on DigComp and Facebook standards developed for the needs of the Digital Skills program implemented by Facebook in 5 EU countries. These are:1. Internet securityObjectives:- Participants will understand their exposure to network attacks and basic methods to ensure their own safety, their relatives and businesses- Get to know the tools and resources that they can use to overcome the threats to their cyber security- Gain knowledge that enables them to gain specific personal and professional benefits- They will take personal responsibility for their own cyber security2. Social marketingObjectives:- Showing how to consciously communicate on social media- Teaching participants how to build their personal brand- Showing how to create valuable content3. Data and decision makingObjectives:- Explaining that data is not just numbers and spreadsheets- Explanation of the benefits of using data for decision-making purposes- Defining the main concepts of data- Use of data in the decision-making process4. Innovations in the networkObjectives:- Understanding by the participants of the basic principles of the Design Thinking method, creative approach to problem solving, the importance of receiving feedback and response, and the value of learning to start cooperation early and continuous iteration to achieve the best results. The training consists of two closely connected modules:1. Digital competences - the module described in detail above2. Elements of coaching and mentoring - providing tools for analyzing the needs and setting specific goals, as well as planning activities that enable their implementation to be transparent. In addition, the participants themselves will be surrounded by the care of the coach, they will be able to focus on themselves, formulate their own goals and take the path of their implementation. Understanding what mentoring and coaching means and how to use it can have a significant impact on the process of social inclusion, especially in the context of supporting young people in the implementation of initiatives.<< Activities >>The participants of the training are a group of 18 people from 6 countries (and 2 trainers), including 9 people with fewer opportunities who work with young people on a daily basis in the area of civic activity, inclusion of social development of digital competences, and with disadvantaged youth - an important element of every from a series of trainings organized under the partnership. Participants include coaches, youth workers, teachers, experienced volunteers working with youth. They operate in schools, non-governmental organizations or youth support centers. We agreed jointly that volunteers who are often involved in youth work may also participate in the training, but many of the available trainings are closed to them due to the lack of employment in the organization. Volunteering work is often performed by people with extensive experience who want to develop and learn new methods, so the project will also support such people. Involvement of volunteers in training also gives an opportunity to exchange views, experiences and methods of people professionally dealing with youth work with those who have been doing it recently and have a ""fresh"" approach, as well as often in the most direct contact with the issues of digital competence.Employees and volunteers of partner organizations are involved both in working with disadvantaged people and in the international environment. All organizations have the same goal: to help and strengthen the development of young people, including by strengthening pro-social and civic attitudes - inclusion of ecological issues in this area will be a significant enrichment of methods of working with young people. The participants of the training are motivated to expand their professional skills, mainly through practical classes, learning and exchange of experience about specific work methods. They also need psychosocial reinforcement, group process experience and skills in working on the subject. The innovative element in the training that we have developed together is that on the one hand, participants acquire professional competences, broaden the methods of work, gain a solid foundation, which after the training can develop, and on the other hand participate in the group process, have their own coach ( elements of coaching). Thanks to this, participants will use intensive work training, which will allow them to achieve results during a few days of training. From our own experiences and partners we know how difficult it is to find training or workshops corresponding to such specific needs in the context of a difficult target group, which is why together we decided to design a ""tailor-made"" training based on 2 modules:1. Tools and practical aspects of work in the area of digital competence development - a module focusing on practical understanding and development of specific methods / tools supporting work in this field. Understanding the goals, tools, techniques, rules of cooperation, possible benefits, and meetings with practitioners. As a result of this part of the training, a practical TOOLbox will be created - a set of methods for working with young people in the subject matter.2. Understanding what mentoring and coaching means and how to use it can have a significant impact on the process of social inclusion of specific people (the course of the group's acceptance process).<< Impact >>As a result of the training participants will gain the view and competences in the following areas:Knowledge related to coaching and mentoring at work:- diagnosing needs- advice on how to collect information about predispositions and needs- coaching and mentoring tools - who the coach / mentor is- individual work and work with a group- methods and tools of work (psychological module)Knowledge in the field of digital competence development:- what they are and what is the role of digital competence- digital competences as a tool for civic activation- Elements of digital competence in practice- tools and methods for working with young people- how to counter digital illiteracy - the most important informationCompetence:- understanding the need and importance of developing digital competences- understanding of the group process- the ability of practical social inclusion (introduction and support of people excluded / disadvantaged)- gaining practical skills in working with excluded people- the ability to confront a young man with his beliefs and attitudes- developing the ability to perceive and understand others and themselves in interpersonal relations, which should translate into more effective pedagogical and psychological supportAttitudes that participants will acquire during the training:- development of feelings in the participants such as empathy, openness, commitment, courage, or shared responsibility,- confrontation with problems and courage to take on challenges- increased motivation and increased self-esteem- broadening by youth workers awareness of themselves, their goals and contexts in which they operate and awareness of decisions,- exchange of experience between youth workersThis training will have a positive impact on the participants' professional competences, by equipping them with competence and knowledge in the field of digital competence development. This will be an important result due to the fact that participants have been willing to acquire such competences since the beginning of the cooperation. The participants themselves will receive support from the coach, trainers and the group participating in the training, which will give them self-confidence, confidence in their own abilities. In addition, they will feel more competent to support young people. The professional and personal development of the participants will translate into partner organizations. They will be able to extend the offer of support and training / workshops in the area of digital competence development and apply in practice the skills and competences acquired by employees in their facilities (eg youth support facilities), which will directly translate into the quality of activities offered and the safety of their participants (young people with fewer opportunities). They will also expand the range of youth work methods by introducing / skilfully applying elements of education and information on digital competences to current activities. The training will enable cooperation with young people in a new quality. After returning to the countries, the participants will share the acquired knowledge and skills among the remaining employees of the organization. It will increase the competences of employees of a given organization, which will translate into the quality of the work performed. The information gained during the training can be used to modify and improve the job offer also with volunteers in your organization. An important element will also be a script containing exercises and theoretical knowledge presented during the training. The script will be published in English and can be used by partner organizations."
