The project `Internships of Secondary School of Economics students` in Skarżysko a path to career success` was aimed at students of our school being trained as future economy, IT, hotel industry, advertising and freight forwarding technicians. Its main objective was to support learners to acquire and raise the level of knowledge and skills beyond the Polish borders. The project also aimed to promote the mobility of young people and increase the attractiveness of vocational training. It was to increase the chances of graduates to find work in accordance with their interests or self-employment and contribute to the development of their language and interpersonal skills. Through participation in the project, students could see interesting places in Europe, as well as get to know a part of the culture and history of Germany, Spain and Portugal. The project was to ensure better recognition of skills acquired during a foreign internship - each participant l received a certificate from the host institution confirming the completion of the placement and Europass Mobility certificate from the sending institution signed by the project partners and the NEC. The participants of the project were 2nd and 3rd grade students. For the project partners, we chose the German company WBS TRAINING AG with whom we have been cooperating since 2006, the Spanish company EUROMIND PROJECTS and the company DNA Europe from Portugal. Due to the fact that the originally submitted project budget was limited by the National Agency and agreements concluded with the NA, at the time of signing the financial agreement adapted to the new budget we have reduced the number of travel groups. The 1st group of 24 students – 11 IT specialists, class 2a, 7 economy technicians – class 2b and 6 hoteliers – class 2c accompanied by 2 teachers went to Germany (Dresden) for 2 weeks between 15th and 28th Sept. 2018. From 09th to 23rd March 2019, the second group of 25 participants (4 hoteliers and 10 economy technicians – class 3c plus 11 advertisement technicians – class 3d) accompanied by 2 teachers went for a two-week internship to Lisbon (Portugal). From 1st to 15th June 2019 a group of 31 students (20 IT technicians – 10 class 3a and 10 class 3b, 7 advertisement technicians – class 2c and 4 freight forwarding technicians - class 2b) with 3 teachers had their two – week internship in Seville (Spain). All project partners are experienced in working with young people through numerous projects in LdV, ERASMUS +, Socrates and others. To achieve its objectives, the project was managed using the traditional method. Measures were planned, a schedule was developed, and at every stage of project implementation, monitoring and control was carried out. At the end, the summary, final financial settlement and reporting took place. With such a plan, we strived to effectively achieve the project objectives while eliminating the risk. The project was managed by the school headmistress and her team, in cooperation with project partners. Implementation of the project included a series of activities starting from cooperation with partners, arrangements of programs and deadlines for internships, project budgets for particular groups away, preparing the application form, conducting information and promotion actions, recruitment, carrying out organizational, cultural, linguistic and pedagogical preparation for the project participants, the practical and logistic support, holding of foreign internship, dissemination of project results, evaluation, reporting, and financial settlement.Participation in learning mobility projects is one of our priority actions, in which our students can participate in foreign internship. This is a very important area of activity that determines the European dimension of our school. Thanks to the implementation of the project, variety of tasks can be accomplished and different results can be achieved - the acquisition of practical skills, development of many key competencies (communication in foreign languages, IT, social and civic competence, innovation and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression), improvement in educational attainment, raising European awareness and personality, open attitudes on values such as respect for others, otherness and diversity, obtaining certificates, better start in life. In the short term, participation in the project will mobilize for the advancement of knowledge, self-search for information, achieving better learning outcomes. In the long term, the knowledge and experience gained will positively affect the functioning of the project participants both in Polish and European labor market. The school will increase the attractiveness of vocational training, the entrepreneurs will get better- prepared workers, the market will gain enterpreneuers.

This project focuses on the duties of instructors in enhancing the competencies of jobseekers, which is an integrated component of the package of services provided by the VDAB, i.e. the Flemish Service for Employment and Vocational Training. In addition, the project fulfils one of the strategic objectives of the VDAB management agreement, which is to develop a forward-looking provision for the recognition and development of competencies. In some sixty campuses spread throughout Flanders the VDAB offers opportunities to follow vocational training. Around 800 instructors are in charge of enhancing the course participants' competencies. In order to optimally align the VDAB training provision with the future labour market, it is crucial to update training contents using the most suitable training methodology. The project aims to enhance and adjust instructors' knowledge, experience and competencies in view of a rapidly evolving labour market. For this purpose it organises international placements for a number of selected domains (see below). Ultimately, these placements will help to adjust the VDAB training provision and make it conform to the market, in terms of both content and methodology.Within this project, the following placements were completed : -Finland, Savo Consortium for Education en Omnia ( 7/02/2016 - 13/02/2016) for Workplace Learning (2 participants) ; -Finland, Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education (15/02/2016 - 19/02/2016) for Construction and Professional Cleaning Techniques (6 participants) ;-Austria, ABZ Braunau (11/04/2016 - 17/04/2016) for Machine techniques CNC (3 participants) ;-Finland, Sedu (23/08/2016 – 25/08/2016) for Construction (3 participants). After the placements the results were discussed with the subject departments in order to to adjust the current provision and/or develop a new provision. During these placements the emphasis was always on acquiring new insights and knowledge, in terms of both content (techniques) and methodology (teaching tools). The confrontation with a different approach, context, opportunities and restrictions broadened the participants' minds and encouragde them to scrutinise and renew/optimise their own existing training methodologies and programmes in a realistic manner. Apart from the internal impact on the VDAB, the results of this action will be usefull in the further develments regarding Workplace Learning. At the European level the project had a certain impact on the realisation of the Europe 2020 Strategy, especially the increase in the employment rate of highly qualified course participants, the growth in the % share of participants in life long learning (instructors and subject matter experts) and of “smart growth” by enriching knowledge and innovation. Thanks to this project and the positive co-operation with the foreign partners, news forms of co-operation may be established in the future.

"“Mūsu Victoria+” project is aimed at providing the youth with the opportunity to undergo placements and work-based learning on the international level, mastering their professional competences, enhancing their intercultural competences, foreign language skills (English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) and encouraging school students’ motivation to learn. The goal is to promote vocational education and challenge the stereotype of vocational education, persisting in Latvian society, that VET is intended only for the students who are not willing or are not capable to study. Victoria students strive for knowledge and work experience, therefore they are goal-oriented on the challenging themselves developing their professional and personal skills. And Erasmus+ mobilities provided within the present project give them such a chance to fulfill their goals and aspirations. “Mūsu Victoria+” project consists of two activities. The first activity was planed to involve VICTORIA learners’ traineeships in vocational institutes abroad in Portugal and Germany. Unfortunately mobilities to Germany was re-paned to Portugal. The second activity consists of VICTORIA learners traineeships in companies abroad in Portugal, Italy and Spain. Within the project the school is cooperating with four very professional foreign companies: WBS training, A Rocca, Formación Europea, Práctica, Movilidad and APLICAPROPOSTA LDA. In total 49 students and 9 staff (5 as accompanying persons) had the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ mobilities. The experience of international mobility ensures students’ future professional development. The previous experience of our school learners clearly indicated that those students who participated in study placements abroad had been provided with the workplaces after their graduation. Thus we can conclude that international mobilities guarantee VICTORIA students employability. As a result, the project serves as a guarantee that students, who had undergone traineeships abroad, are more motivated to both continue their studies and graduate school, mastering their professional skills, as well as, to be afterwards active participants of the common European labour market. Through traineeship mobilities students put their knowledge, skills and competences in practice, which in turn fosters students’ self-esteem and creativity. To sum up, the project fosters and ensures the international cooperation between the vocational school and foreign employers and representatives of foreign vocational institutions. On the national level, the project provides the possible measures of combating youth unemployment and early school leaving, via enhancing youth desire and motivation to learn and reach self-esteem via participation in mobility projects. Moreover, the opportunity of international mobilities for vocational secondary school students increases the attractiveness of vocational secondary education, which is one of the strategic goals of education reforms within Implementation of the ""Europe 2020"" strategy."

The project “Expanding the Range of Internship Offers of SPŠE V Úžlabině (The Secondary Technical School of Electrical Engineering in Úžlabina)” involved beside our school also the educational agency WBS Training AG. In the project scope was the realization of vocational trainings in Germany for students in second and third grades of study, mainly specialized in informational technologies. Two participants were chosen among the students from the Technical lyceum. The total number of participants was 16 and the duration of the internship was two weeks, of which 10 ten days were devoted to the vocational training. The project commenced on 1 June 2015 with duration of one year. Our students were accompanied by one teacher, as some of them were under age. The participants had already been familiar with the basic knowledge of informational and computing technologies, as well as networking. They also achieved a communicative level in English and were capable of understanding the professional language. We also involved several English lessons in the project preparation. The internships took place from May 15 until May 28 2016 in Berlin.Two-week duration of the internship was determined with regard to the minimal duration of the programme and corresponded to the length of work experience required by the school’s educational plan. The programme of the internship was designed in such a way to enable the students to digest the new information and apply it subsequently in the school practice. The project’s topic was IT networking, its structure and development. The internship was completed with presentation and design of a miniproject of each student presenting given network setup according to a fictional customer’s requirements. Acquired competences defined the following learning unit in accordance with ECVET: acquiring thorough knowledge on basic methods in networking, tools, norms and protocols, practical skills in connection of components, personal and social competences, and presentation skills in English. The impact of the project is an increase in competitiveness of our students as future graduates and applicants for further employment in the field. Demand for mechanical engineering graduates with the specialization in automation or renewable resources of energy in the Czech Republic as well as Germany, is very high, and it is very likely the project’s participants may find work even in German companies. Both sending and receiving organizations are impacted by this project considerably, thanks to the acquisition of new experience and partnership which we hope to deepen in the future.
