Social Communication Forum 2.0 is a follow-up of the mobility of youth workers “Social Communication Forum”, held in Palermo in January 2018, in this context the Maghweb team and the partner participants have agreed on the need to spread the knowledge of no-profit social communication. The problem the project is going to tackle is that often the concept of social communication is mystified because there is no a clear definition of precise criteria and rules for an ethical and sustainable communication. Indeed nor at national level, nor at European level there is any agreement on what social communication is; consequently communicators often lack of specific professional skills and their professional profile is not appropriately recognised. The exchange of good practices, competences and experiences in the context of SCF 2.0 aims at precisely drawing up this concept and providing guidelines not only for communicators, but also to the target of such communication, giving them the tools to develop critical thinking and to distinguish between profitand no-profit communication. The project’s objectives are therefore: - Better, professionalize and spread social communication in the context of international project management, improving employability of communication experts- Exchange good practices on social communication in order to create a common European framework for social communication- Provide the users of media the tools to understand the rules and contexts of social communication in order to tackle media illiteracy and to develop users’ abilities to individuate fake news - Enhance transnational network within youth workers active in the field of communication in order to produce ethical and quality content - To contribute to reducing the deficit of social communication in EU area of exemplary social work. The direct beneficiaries of the trainings will be 36 youth workers with previous experience in communication who will share the acquired competences with their peers, family, university and/or work. The indirect beneficiaries of the project are several: the future users of the self-training contents, local and national stakeholders and population, young people belonging to the educational environment of members of partner organisations and the users of the SALTO platform and the Erasmus+ project results platform, where self-training materials are going to be shared. The approaches, methods, tools and sectors involved will be developed in an integrated manner in order to ensure the permeability of all sectors involved in the project. The Strategy developed based on non-formal approach aims to promote the importance of cooperation between countries, active citizenship, proactive approaches and European values. During the project several activities are going to be implemented, the most important will be the training mobilities and the offline events, namely there will be 2 trainings addressing different aspects of social communication: the state of the art of social communication, video-making, social communication applied to international project-managing and peculiarities of each channel of communication. Whereas the offline events will include focus groups, conferences to promote freedom of press and events to disseminate the project results.

These competencies will make participants more interested in European-relevant topics and they will stimulate their interest in non-formal education. The workshops, team work and team building activities will allow to create a united group, tearing down socio-cultural barriers and contributing to develop participants’ intercultural awareness, as well as a sense of belonging to Europe. Thanks to the non-formal educational activities such as brainstorming, mind maps, debates and sharing experiences, we will show how theatre can be a great means to raise awareness on socially relevant topics and to stimulate critical thinking both in actors and audience, encouraging debate and exchange of ideas. A professional trainer will hold workshops on of theatre-based learning methodologies. The project aims also at providing participants with better knowledge of the Erasmus+ programme and its tools, as the YouthPass. Also the local community, thanks to the final event open to the public, could come to know the Erasmus+ programme and experiment social theatre.<< Activities >>Only one activity will be implemented, that is to say a 7-days-long (plus 2 travel days) youth exchange. Taking into consideration the expressive potential of theatre, Maghweb decided to explore the ways it can be used as a means of communication and social involvement. The project proposal, designed by Maghweb and refined thanks to the confrontation with partner organisations and a group of young people from Palermo, envisages on the one hand to introduce young people to theatre, deepening their knowledge in this field thanks to non-formal educational methods; on the other hand to put in practice workshops aiming at using theatre as a means to fight social exclusion, youngsters’ malaise and to increase their awareness on the importance of their active role in society.Participants will have to be aged between 18 and 26 when sending their application. The range of age has been reduced in order to avoid age gaps in the participant group. In order to guarantee an equal gender representation within the project, partner organisations will communicate to Maghweb the names of the selected participants. Maghweb will ask them to express a second preference, in case of gender imbalance. During al the project phases, Maghweb will grant the same degree of participation to men and women, it will avoid grouping of only man or women and it will intervene to contrast gender imbalance.<< Impact >>The activity was conceived in order to ensure the greater impact on participants, on local community and on the community of belonging of the participants. Thanks to the experience of the youth exchange, participants will be able to develop a different approach regarding theatre, which they will see not only as a means of artistic expression and entertainment. Participants will develop specific competencies on dramatic language and they will gain the tools to replicate the workshops they took part into. Participants will re-discover the social importance of theatre and its communicative potential in raising the audience’s awareness and they will increase their interest towards socially relevant topic, enhancing their will to play a more active role in society. The community of the participants will benefit of their renewed will to be agents of social change. Moreover they will be informed on the Erasmus+ programme and the opportunity it offers, like the Youth Exchange and it is likely that their positive experience affects other youngster from the same community, who will be motivated to take part to other youth exchanges. Thanks to the confrontation with other experts in the project, the youth leaders will widen their knowledge on non-formal education methodologies and they will enrich their non-formal educational offer. Also the community of Palermo will benefit from the Youth Exchange thanks to the city game, to the several activities and to the final event, open to the public: the interaction with the participants will cause in the community of Palermo curiosity towards the Erasmus+ programme and active participation as they will get close to socially relevant topic as audience of a social theatre piece. During the final event the participants will not only hold a workshop of Forum theatre, inviting spectators to reflect on the topic of the pièce and to take part into it, but they will also inform the audience on the Erasmus+ programme and on their learning process, as well as the importance of non formal education and its innovative methodologies, the creative use of communication, included alternative media and theatre. Moreover the project results will be shared on the web platform and websites of the partner organisations. The involvement of a professional figure for the design of the workshops and the final event, to which Maghweb will invite several people linked to small theatres in Palermo, will allow to involve these institutions in the project. This will allow on the one hand to bring palermitano cultural heritage abroad, on the other hand to stimulate the participation of new entities in the design of other youth exchanges. Also the palermitan small theatre will gain visibility, thanks to the website and the social media managed by Maghweb, where they will be sponsored at national and international level. The national impact will be ensured thanks to the media and it will increase audience’s awareness on the topics addressed, on the Erasmus+ programme and the european cooperation. To the European and international extent the impact will be ensured thanks to the media and the partner organisations. The communities of the participants will benefit of the newly acquired participants’ skills n the field of mediation, of their international network, their increased sense of belonging to the european community, as well as their competencies in the field of theatre. Participants will share their skills with their peers, contributing to their personal development. The learning outcomes will be: - increased awareness on how art, in particular theatre, can be a tool for social change and inclusion -capability to facilitate workshops of theatre of the oppressed, created by the theatre expert Augusto Boal -increased motivation to active citizenship and confidence in social change - development of international network -increased problem-solving and team building capacities - Increased self-esteem - European awareness and better knowledge of Erasmus+ opportunities - Better knowledge of non-formal educational methodologies

2019Obiective operationale. Cei 32 de cursanti:1. Vor dobandi o cunoastere aprofundata a problemei educatiei pentru toleranta prin metoda autobiografica si alte metode nonformale; cel putin 7 concepte/ idei/ teorii pana in oct. 20192. Isi vor spori abilitatile de lucru cu tinerii prin experimentarea metodei autobiografice si a altor metode nonformale in scopul combaterii discriminarii si al dezvoltarii atitudinii de toleranta; 10 metode/ tehnici/ tipuri de activitati pana in oct. 20193.
