The project was led by Balik Arts and organised by a consortium of partners from France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey. The project came about in consultation with the partners, all of whom work with volunteers, and aimed to highlight the importance and value of volunteering, particularly for young people; and enhancing the skills and knowledge of youth workers from the partner organisations for working with volunteers and encouraging further volunteering. Volunteering is an important element of active citizenship, where young people can become involved within their society, make a constructive contribution, and at the same time acquire new skills and experiences that will make them more employable and be of long-lasting value to society especially in the light of rising unemployment figures. Societies would fall apart if active citizenship doesn't take place. Youth organisations therefore have an important duty to encourage, educate, train and engage their beneficiaries. The training course has supported the professional development of youth workers by increasing their competences to provide more qualified services to young people on a local, national or international level in order to train young people about active citizenship and volunteering. We have used non-formal education methods during the training course, including games, field visits, interacting with experts, screening/watching/having a post screening discussion of a film on a concrete example of volunteering. We have brought in or visited a number of highly professional representatives of relevant organisations or individuals to run workshops to cover a variety of aspects of active citizenship and volunteering. These included Cambridge Ethnic Community Form, Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service, Cambridge Hub, Liberal Democrats MEP Candidate, three academics from Anglia Ruskin University, an academic from LSE (for the post-screening discussion of the chosen film), Cambridge City Council Community Development Officer, Sargeant at Mace and various NGO representatives.

All of the participants are expected to have some background knowledge on methods of non-formal educational activities as well as a prior experience in youth projects addressed to young people at risk of exclusion. It is necessary that participants have previous experience in working with young unemployed or a concrete plan to start being active in this field in the near future. It is also obligatory for all the participants to be ready to get actively involved in all the project activities, especially during the dissemination phase when they are expected to act as multipliers in their local communities. They should be also motivated to increase their knowledge on theories and methods of promoting social entrepreneurship as a way for increasing employability and preventing social exclusion of vulnerable groups of young people as well as ready to develop concrete follow-up activities that will be done in cooperation with international network of partners established during the training course. The main participants need identified prior to the training course is the need for youth workers to increase their professional capacities and to gain new competences for implementing successful youth projects that aim at improving young people's chances on the labor market and preventing their social exclusion. By exploring and discussing the concept of social entrepreneurship and its benefits for boosting young people employability competences, the project will address participants need for getting new methods on the topic and adopting new approaches in their daily work. The project is to tackle discussed issues from different angles, giving participants both theoretical expert input on specifics and challenges of working with youth at risk of permanent unemployment and practical methods and tools that can be adapted to their local context, which in turn should increase their professional capacities and enable them to create projects that suit their target groups specific needs to a greater extent. The other need identified prior to the project is the urge for building strong international partnership of like-minded organizations who are eager to work together for empowerment of young people at risk of permanent exclusion from labor market. At the same time it is necessary to provide participants with time and space for sharing experiences and good practices with fellow youth workers from different countries, which in turn can serve as inspiration for designing and implementing future activities. The project is to address both of those needs the project is planned in a way that fosters connections and give participants space for sharing and developing future cooperative ventures. After the project is approved for funding, the partner organization will make a pre-selection of the candidates and all the profiles of the proposed participants will be shared with CAYNEX and FAJNA so the trainers team will make sure that the chosen representatives fit the project profile. The crucial selection criteria, apart from participants' experience and motivation, will be their readiness and capacities for acting as multipliers in their respective communities so that it is ensured that the project will have a real impact that will continue after the implementation stage itself. Fewer opportunities (10 participant) None of the participants are selected yet. However, some of the project partners agreed to select participants with fewer opportunities (coming from geographically disadvantaged areas or with social obstacles) so that the project will also have an impact on disadvantaged communities in a long-term perspective.Aims of the project:The aim of the project is to share and teach newly created tools regarding topic of socialEntrepreneurship to organizations and youth workers from EU and EaP countries. Objectives of the project:- To promote the knowledge about social entrepreneurship and its potential benefits for young people at risk of exclusion from labor market.- To explore and discuss the challenges and solutions connected to work with young people who struggle to find a job.- To get to know best practices of successful social entrepreneurships that reduced theUnemployment level and to provide participants with inspiration in the field.- encourage entrepreneurship among young people by stimulating resourcefulness and creativity;- To equip youth-workers and then youth organizations with, tools, methodologies, and techniques to develop projects on the promotion of social entrepreneurship;- Creating networking among young people of European Union and Eastern Partnership Countries.<< Activities >>Each and every activity, that will take place during the training courses ""Keep Going forward - Become entrepreneur"" is based on non-formal education approved by Erasmus+ program, meaning that group works, verbal presentations, group activities, reflection groups, specific trainings and group discussions will be organized by host and partner organizations. As for gender balance, all the partners agreed to chose equal number of male and female representatives, given their motivation is equal. In case some of the organizations are not able to select a team balanced in terms of gender, we will try to balance the disproportions with participants from other countries, so that some organizations send only female and some only male, so that in the end it is balanced as much as possible. This will encourage their activism and inclusion in civil society. Review of each objective:1.To promote knowledge about social entrepreneurship and its potential benefits for young people at risk of exclusion from labor market. – After specific activities and workshops participants will understand, that starting a social enterprise offers a lot of opportunities. Apart from self-employment, they will have an opportunity to create greater access to the labor market for vulnerable groups and involve passive youth in social activities. 2. To explore and discuss the challenges and solutions connected to work with young people who struggle to find a job. – Unfortunately, in some countries of Europe employability among youth is problematic. This issue is troublesome especially in the EU's Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries. For this reason, after the project ends, participants will know how they can employ themselves and others. In addition, they will improve important competences, such as public speaking, presentation skills, ability to have a discussion in English language, digital competences, intercultural competences and teamwork. On top of that, this will boost their motivation and self-confidence, which will allow participants to find a suitable job or start their own social enterprise. 3. To get to know best practices of successful social entrepreneurships that reduces the level of unemployment and to provide participants with inspiration in the field. – Participants will have the chance to share best practices of social enterprises in their respective countries, which will inspire them and motivate them for starting an enterprise of their own. Furthermore, within the project participants will visit social enterprises in Georgia and have a conversation with their managers. 4. Encourage entrepreneurship among young people by stimulating resourcefulness and creativity; - During the project every participant will work on developing their ideas, which will stimulate their creativity and skills for resource mobilization. In the end, all of this will improve their chances of employability through starting a social enterprise. 5. To equip youth-workers and then youth organizations with, tools, methodologies, and techniques to develop projects on the promotion of social entrepreneurship; - As we already mentioned, within this training we will use unique methodology and workshops, which were created in 2017 by partner organizations during a seminar. These tools are tested and approved by numerous participants. After the project every participant will have the opportunity to use these tools in their organizations or spread them in favor of youth education. In addition, in the end of the project a guide book will be published, which will help every reader to understand what Social Entrepreneurship is and how they can become entrepreneur. This guide book will be accessible for everyone online and will be shared through online platforms, such as social networks, websites and so on. 6.Creating networking among young people of European Union and Eastern Partnership Countries. - Strengthening partnership cooperation among European Union and Eastern Partnership countries and empowering EECA NGOs – There are organizations from European Union countries and partner countries, in order to make cooperation happen. Organizations will share their best practices and will work on future plans, such as developing joint Erasmus+, social entrepreneurship and other project in future and sharing experience regarding the topic related issues."
