The ever-changing economic reality creates an urgent need to prepare young people for the difficult role of a participant of the modern market economy. Zespół Szkół Nr 10 im. Stanisława Staszica in Warsaw takes steps to improve the effectiveness of education, the suitability of qualifications and skills of students through the organisation of foreign traineeships under European mobility programmes, including Erasmus+or POWERVET. The priority of our project, implemented under the POWER programme, was a good preparation of graduates with knowledge of foreign languages, open to other cultures, equipped with professional qualifications, adapting to the ever-increasing requirements of employers for the role of participants in the global market,. The increase in mobility of pupils and teachers, based on international cooperation, is part of the European School Development Plan. Our mobility project consisted in organising foreign apprenticeships for students educated in professions: Economic Technician and Information Technology Technician and job shadowing mobility for teachers in vocational training institutions in Spain and Ireland. The project was implemented in cooperation with ETN – Education and Training Network, which has its agencies in various EU countries, including: ETN Training Vision Ireland ltd in Cork and Tribeka Training Lab Malaga in Spain. Continuing cooperation with ETN is one of the lasting results of previously implemented mobility projects. 10 students, educated in the profession of economic technician, held 3-week traineeship in Ireland from 25/03/2019 to 12/04/2019 in administrative and financial enterprises. The practice programme included the following modules: practical English improvement, getting acquainted with the functioning of the company in the internal and external environment, commercial documentation, human resources policy, accounting with financial and accounting programmes and the company's marketing activities under market economy conditions. Two 10-person groups of Information Technology Technicians held internship in Cork on the following dates:group I: 4/03/2018 – 31/03/2018group II: 03/03/2019 – 30/03/2019Students worked for 4 weeks in IT companies such as Cash Connectors, Mallow Printing Works, Skytech Computer Repair Service and sales Cork, The Webworkhouse, IT Outlet, Wired Communications - Internet cafe - Call Shop - PC Services, in configuration, operation, assembly and maintenance of computer hardware and software.Only mobile teachers, open to new challenges, can help improve the quality of their school's work and increase its prestige in the local environment. One way to achieve this goal was to involve teachers of economic and IT subjects in a job shadowing venture. One-week teacher trips were made during the winter holidays so as not to interfere with the school's work cycle. Two 6-person groups of teachers had the opportunity to learn about the methods of organisation and conduct of practical classes, employers' expectations and the vocational education system in Spain ( 2018) and Ireland (2019). Teachers gained valuable professional experience by participating in practical classes in vocational schools in Cork and Malaga. The implementation of the project allowed for the following results: • increase of the mobility of pupils and their teachers; • improving the attractiveness and efficiency of vocational training at school; • extending international cooperation on the implementation of good practices; • acquiring professional skills at European level; • improving social and organisational competences; • use of the latest ICT technologies;Partners of the project have made effort to ensure that the project's objectives are achieved with the highest quality. Before going abroad, participants could count on linguistic, cultural, pedagogical (pupils) and organizational (teachers) preparations. Each participant, after a positive completion of mobility, obtained a certificate from a foreign project partner and Europass Mobility in Polish and English, which opens up the possibility of finding a satisfactory job, not only in Poland, but also European labour market. The basis for the completion of apprenticeships by pupils was the assessment obtained on the basis of clear criteria and units of skills, determined on the basis of the European ECVET Achievement Transfer System. This system will enable school graduates to use the skills obtained abroad for further education and professional development.

Internship abroad will take place in the autumn of grade three. Internships are located in Spain and Ireland. The teachers involved will help the students with preparation, contact with each internship, and keep in touch with the student and ensure that all documentation of evaluation, validation and europass are satisfactory. A period abroad would allow them to try to use another language as well as give them cultural experiences. They will become aware of both cultural similarities and differences, realizing their language proficiency. As a result, their confidence will increase and they will be sought after in the market not only regionally but also globally. We also believe that it will increase their motivation for studies and to discover that life is a lifelong learning. We also increase the popularity of our vocational programs, where the search pressure today is low.
