"The project ""Hadi Gençler!!! – Come On YOUTHS!!!"" is a training course, financed by the European Commission through Erasmus+ programme (2014-2020), Key Action 1. The project will be implemented between 15 March and 15 August 2018 and the training course itself will take place in Bursa, Turkey between 7-14 May 2018. The 25 participants from 5 countries (Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain) will gather in Turkey in order to better understand young people's needs in order to manage to involve them in more national and international projects. In order to reach our goal we established 3 main objectives: 1)During the 5 months of the project, the 25 youth workers will gain more knowledge about what are young people needs, what are their desires, how can they be motivated and attracted to participate in more voluntary activities. 2)During the project, the 25 youth workers will gain more skills in creating attractive messages for young people, they will learn how to use the internet to attract young people, implement non-formal education methods that will engage more young people in their activities, and they will improve their teamwork and communication skills. 3) At the end of the project, the 25 youth workers will be more emphatic regarding young people's needs, they will be more motivated in their work and willing to use non-formal education as a tool, they will want to encourage young people to be more actively involved in the society, they will have fewer prejudices and stereotypes about young people way of acting and thinking. During our activities we will involve Muradiye Pofessional and Technical Anatolian High School and a number of minimum 150 young people from this high school. The youth workers will prepare non-formal activities that will attract them and help them realize the importance of being more involved in the community. We will promote Erasmus+ opportunities and we will encourage and help the young people to participate to international projects. We expect to have a positive impact in the lives of the youth workers, by giving them more self confidence in their ability to work with young people, while providing them the necessary skills and knowledge in order to produce their own impact in their local communities. The brochure and the blog of the project will help us reach a considerable number of youth workers and young people from all over Europe"

"<< Objectives >>We want to carry out this project together between Hyvärilä and Metsäkartano youth centres as hosting organizations and project coordinators, as a part of our plan for deepening cooperation on international level. In 2017 a study visit was organized by Hyväriä and Metsäkartano for youth workers with the main theme of working with EVS programme. This project was very well-received by participants and they claimed that study visits to Finland which show how the system works in general are very inspiring and informative. Thus, together with 2017 partners Metsäkartano, Hyvärilä youth centre, Train of Future (Morocco) and Foreningen Ffråmtidstaget, partners agreed to arrange a new study visit involving old partners and newcomers. The project is developed to share practices of Finnish youth work organizations to contribute to capacity building of participants from other countries. As Italian partner claimed: ""The digital theme would be very useful: the improvement of digital skills, especially for youth workers coming from geographically disadvantaged areas, can really make a difference. We will not only take from you, but we are ready to share our best practices and our experiences, as well as guarantee you an active and enthusiastic cooperation for this project and the future ones"". Working with young people from rural and remote areas can be challenging, and ditital youth work methods can be very helpful in it. As one of the methods we want to discuss gaming - is it productive? Is it for everybody? How to use it wisely? Within the project we want to inspire dialogue and discussion of project themes, inspire new ideas on using digital methods in their work.<< Activities >>This project implies a study visit to Finland from partner organizations from Finland, Cyprus, Georgia, Sweden, Italy, Morocco and Bulgaria. Hosting organizations in Finland are Hyvärilä and Metsäkartano youth centres, located next to each other, and bearing many similarities, yet each having unique features. Participants of the study visit are youth workers and volunteers from partner organizations who are working with young people and either use or intend on using digital youthwork methods, and want to learn about the Finnish experience. In total there will be 16 participants, who will come together for a 4-day study visit where they will visit Finnish youth centres and youth houses. We are making workshops led by professional in digital gaming and giving practical approach to gaming. We will use GPS-machines and orienteering as a tool to gaming and will use participants own phones in order to get participants know our digital approach to youth work. It’s a learning by doing principle throughout entire program and changing experiences. We will also facilitate a debate where topic is “Why we should you digitality in youth work”. There will lot of interesting discussions about the topic, sharing knowledge and learning from others. Evening activities includes spending evening in the wilderness turf cabin and mixed cultural evening where we casually enjoy cultures participating.<< Impact >>The expected impact on participants and organizations was described by partners in their need of the project: for some it is motivating youth workes from their staff to be more active in international cooperation, for some it is learning about Finnish non-formal education system and figuring out the ways to improve their common practices, some are willing to learn about digital youthwork methods, and talk about their experiences. Whatever the goal is, each participant and their organizations will have wider cooperation network after the project, and new experiences from being in a Finnish youth centre, inspiration about new projects and new working methods with their youngsters. Each participant will have discussions about the study trip with their fellow youth workers back in home organizations, and the least that the project will do is provoke thought on cooperation between youthworkers and schools, and using digital methods in their work. The project will contribute to participants' skills and knowledge of digital work and using gaming as a method. Learning about experiences from other partners will inspire new ideas and influence attitudes. It may not be appropriate for all participants to necessarily use those methods in work all the time, but it will give them another opportunity which they will at least try out and see how they can adjust to their working realities. Hopefully the project will result in wider use of new methods and new attitudes. The minimum impact that is expected is to draw attention of youth workers to digital youth work methods. Discussions in participants' immediate professional circles and inspiring new ideas for daily work with young people would be the impact of the trip. For Hyvärilä this project is one step towards developing digital youthwork theme - currently Hyvärilä is a parner in project ""FutureLabs"" which has digital methods as the main theme. We want to build up on the nex partnerships and current projects to ensure sustainability and transition or projects, and constant development of our youthworker's capacities."

"The training course “Combating racism, xenophobia and discrimination - Digital Tool Box"" aims to provide youth leaders and educators with new ideas for workshops and training sessions in their work with marginalized young people facing discrimination in their community. Nowadays discrimination takes many forms in modern Europe. People are discriminated for origin, their religion, sexual orientation, their skin color, their gender, and even the school they visited and the district they live in. Discrimination often translates into fewer chances for personal development, weakened self-confidence and as a consequence into limited opportunities for employment. For these reasons many civil society organizations work in the field of antidiscrimination by fostering tolerance and aiming to empower young people to overcome the societal stereotypes that hamper the personal freedom and right for self-development. Along this line, the training course intends to share methods of anti-discrimination work with its participants in order to strengthen their daily work with young people. Workshops, simulation exercises, role plays and debates will be exercised with the participants to give them a learning experience and to explain them their strength and weaknesses. The participants will receive time to design own exercises based on the made experiences can be applied within their programme activities on local level or in international encounters."
