    "<< Objectives >>The goal of both organizations taking part in the project is to support 26 people aged between 13 and 20 in achieving their mutual desire - to meet in order to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in outdoor and sports fields. Polish and Greek youth group made contact through interest groups on Facebook. Initially, they contacted virtually, using Skype and other instant messengers, but after the winter holidays, they decided to lead to a joint meeting enabling the exchange of skills and knowledge in their needs and interests.Young people struggling with problems of obesity, overweight, low awareness of a healthy diet decided to conduct anonymous surveys and interviews among Polish and Greek teenagers, in the group of youth aged 13-20, attending schools of people involved in this project. The number of respondents was 262, 157 (59.9%) girls, and 105 (40.1%) boys. Participation of students in the study was voluntary. The study showed that up to 40% of students never eat meals on a regular basis and only 11.5% declared their regular consumption. Less than half (46.9%) of respondents declared daily consumption of breakfast. The most commonly eaten meal was dinner (n = 217, 82.8%) and supper (n = 143, 54.6%). Most students (77.5%) did not know the correct classification of the pyramid of nutrition floors. This study showed abnormal nutritional behaviors of Polish and Greek youth. Young people from partner countries conducted interviews and on-line discussions and got acquainted with numerous publications on physical activity from adolescence to adulthood and ways of spending free time. They admitted that most of them limited their physical efforts in everyday life, including locomotor activities. The development of new and more and more attractive technologies causes immobilization of teenagers for many hours a day, from the youngest age of life. Travelling to school and less and less outdoor activities with peers causes a decline in physical activity and healthy eating habits among young people, many health problems. That is why, it is highly justified to think about ways to implement appropriate measures in the field of health prevention, aimed at improving youth eating habits and developing habits of an active, sporting lifestyle. The youth agreed that during the week of a joint meeting in Poland, they would increase their awareness of the importance of sport, healthy food, ecological awareness, in accordance with the objectives of the Erasmus + program and the 2020 horizon.The goals and needs of young people and want to solve thanks to the implemented project are in addition to promoting a healthy, sporting and sustainable lifestyle at the European level:- learning from each other, among others good attitudes, cooperation in a group, communication, overcoming barriers, setting goals and ways to implement them, accepting failures, searching for new solutions,- sharing experiences,- developing responsibility for performing assigned tasks (eg. a person responsible for the team),- shaping the sense of equality of all members in the group, overcoming shyness, insecurity,- development of creativity and entrepreneurship, development of openness attitudes and communication skills,- improving the skills of building social relations,- improving English skills,- mastering basic knowledge of new foreign languages ​​(Poles - Greek, and Greek - Polish),- getting to know the culture, customs of the youth of a European Union country (Greece and Poland),- the development of a sense of European citizenship and identity,- care for good physical condition, fitness, outdoor activity, health and well-being,- the importance of healthy eating in everyday life,- developing the ability to use various media (internet, press, meetings),- creating awareness about the Erasmus + program and increasing the participation of young people in it.The implemented project is translated into the objectives of the Erasmus + program because the exchange of youth will enable young people:- developing skills and gaining new ones- discovering new cultures, habits and lifestyles through partner learning- strengthening of values ​​such as solidarity, friendship, responsibility for another person and group, etc.- creating opportunities to talk and learn about integration and diversity issues.<< Activities >>In this project, the youth planned one action (A1), which was titled ""Actively and healthy"". It is a seven-day meeting to be held in Poronin, in which a group of young people from Poland and from Greece will take part. Both groups will participate in this meeting in a very similar role - each of them will make the same contribution to achieving the goals set by young people. The proposing organization, despite the theoretical role of the host, will not have to engage more than the partner organization, because both groups plan to engage in the implementation of all activities to the same extent. The youth plans to use the following methods of work during the meeting: games, games, field activities, cooperation, learning from each other, demonstration, presentation, conversation, discussion, interviews, analysis, drawing conclusions, brainstorming.A group of young people from Greece (10 people) and a group of young people from Poland (16 people) will take part in the project activities. These are people from 13 to 20 years old. Due to the fact that the recruitment procedure was not carried out in the project, the number of girls and boys is not equal, but it reflects the natural selection of gender in the interest groups described. Participation in the project will be taken by all those who have declared their willingness to participate in it. Each of these people graduated or completed 13 years before the project started, so all those willing to meet the conditions of ""Youth Exchange"" in the Youth sector. There was no form of choice to participate in the project.Leaders will be delegated to provide support, who will, if necessary, provide support to project participants. They have experience in performing functions in groups of young people with diverse interests - eg dancing, diving, sailing, summer and winter sports and other disciplines. (we have trained instructors in each of these areas). They also participated in international youth meetings and have experience in taking care of young people staying on various trips both at home and abroad.<< Impact >>Participation in the project allows for the following impact on participants:- development of individual motor skills (ice skating and other sports equipment, getting to know new ones for Greek: Polish winter sports, dance workshops, aerobics),- increased skills in learning from each other- development of good attitudes, cooperation skills in the group (joint development of a healthy, dietetic menu based on the knowledge and skills of young people from Poland and Greece, respect for cultural diversity)- development of communication skills, overcoming barriers,- development of the ability to set goals and ways to implement them,- development of skills of accepting failures, searching for other solutions,- development of the ability to share experiences,- development of the attitude of responsibility for the performance of assigned tasks (eg the person responsible for the team),- development of the feeling of equality of all members in the group,- overcoming complexes, shyness, lack of confidence,- development of creativity and entrepreneurship,- development of openness attitudes and communication skills,- improving the skills of building social relations,- improvement of English language proficiency and basics of Greek and Polish,- development of the ability to use various media, eg during dissemination of information about the project and project results.Our organizations will gain further experience in international cooperation, as well as in supporting young people in the implementation of a project aimed at learning from each other. The Polish organization ŚLWOPR thanks to the successful implementation of this project will become an advisor for local government authorities in the preparation of projects and programs targeted at young people.The impact of the project will be visible primarily at the local and regional level thanks to the direct relations of the project participants, however, due to the youth plans for dissemination activities, this impact may be visible also at subsequent levels. This impact is primarily the marking of the presence of young people who want to cooperate with each other in an international group, setting goals and implementing them, developing their passions, learning from each other, gaining various new competences. This is especially important in the context of cooperation between generations - such attitudes encourage seniors to participate in projects with young people."

    << Objectives >>You Press http://youpress.org.uk is an award-winning social enterprise based in London, which is currently run by volunteers and creative artists to support young writers and poets to bring their words and art to a wider audience. Our projects involve empowering young people to find their voice and be heard. This involves challenging stereotypes and stigmas about young people and communities (through creative arts and writing).ScribersHive was already one of our most innovative and locally successful projects in London but we wanted it to grow. It is a platform for young writers, storytellers and change makers age 16+, with a strong social purpose to empower young people to find their voice and be heard through writing and creative arts. Through the project, they connect to social issues, topics, stories & debates in a unique and interactive way.This was our second Erasmus+ project. Our objectives were:1. To internationalise our work, build partnerships with like-minded organisations around Europe, and participate in further projects, thereby offering more opportunities to the young people we work with, most of whom are from minority communities or disadvantaged backgrounds.2. To build on the first Erasmus+ project which we ran in 2018-19, in order to help us to grow our reputation with sponsors and stakeholders, and so increase our reach and impact to our target groups.3. To create a platform for young people around Europe to report on social, cultural and migration issues through creative media4. To develop the competences of youth workers, young people and partner organisations by sharing a creative methodology for working on societal issues.5. To bring the ScribersHive process to a European level to enable more young people access to writing, graphics and broadcasting skills 6. To increase awareness and understanding of migration-related issues from a cultural perspective, and appreciation of intercultural barriers and opportunities7. To promote Erasmus plus and spread awareness of the programme and what can be achievedThe project results were written articles, graphics and video / podcasts. These are currently available via the Erasmus+ results platform but will soon be publicly presented on our new ScribersHive website (currently under development, due for launch May 2023). The expected longer term benefits are increased public awareness and understanding of European intercultural and migration-related issues, and getting more young people involved in reporting these issues.The project supported the objectives of Erasmus+ because it developed skills and employability, promoted creative innovation in youth work, and empowered young people. It was also about reaching out to marginalised young people, promoting diversity, intercultural dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights. It focused on enhancing media literacy, critical thinking and sense of initiative of young people. It also embodied inclusion, multilingualism and open access.<< Implementation >>The project consisted of 2 phases, with local activity in between:Phase 1 (activity A1): training course in Greece. Participants learned about ScribersHive, and were trained on how to use journalism (and other creative writing), graphics, podcasting and video making to raise awareness of social and cultural issues. They heard from experts and activists about the issue of migration in Europe. They took part in a full simulation of the ScribersHive process based around these issues and made action plans for working with young people in their home locations.Phase 2 (local activities): work with young people to produce written articles about social or cultural issues relating to migration. The written articles from country / group A were then passed to young people in country / group B, B to C, and C to A. Each group was asked to interpret the article they had received, and create a graphic (comic strip or other artwork) from it. A final exchange of material from one country / group to another involved a second reinterpretation of the original theme, by turning the graphics into podcasts or short videos. All finished materials (written, graphic and digital) were collected by You Press for publication on our website.Phase 3 (activity A2): final creative workshop, evaluation meeting and showcase / dissemination event in London. Participants came together again to review and disseminate the project results, and to plan follow-up activities.7 countries were originally involved in the project: Armenia, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Slovenia, Ukraine and UK. However, two partners (Italy, Slovenia) did not send any participants despite initial enthusiasm. The total number of participants, including trainers, was 32. They were mostly younger youth workers or volunteers working or regularly participating in cultural activities with You Press (UK) or the other partners, with an interest in creative writing, arts or film making. Many were selected because of having fewer opportunities, particularly social, cultural, economic and geographical.<< Results >>The results of the project exceeded our expectations. Every group has produced written, graphical and audiovisual media outputs, which we initially disseminated in a public exhibition at a social and cultural centre in west-central London (the Anti-Tribalism Movement centre). As mentioned, the individual outputs are currently available via the Erasmus+ results platform, but the exhibition as a whole is in the process of being transferred to our new ScirbersHive website, due for launch within the next 2 months. This project provided a platform for intercultural learning and brought together participants from many different cultural and social backgrounds and gave them the tools to create many different local activities and pan-European cooperation which resulted in a showcase event in which all the results were presented and disseminated to a wider audience.This non-formal education project has extended our international collaboration to several more EU and partner countries and promoted the ScribersHive concept around Europe, creating the foundations for future links and projects. Our own team at You Press has become more internationalised and outward-looking.As their first international project, this has been a life-changing experience for many of the participants, particularly those from ethnic minority communities in the UK. Some of them have already gone on to participate in other Erasmus+ projects. Lasting inter-cultural friendships have been made.The project has had the following impact:- For participants (enhanced youth work skills and techniques, personal and professional competencies)- For young people reached indirectly through local activities (youth voice, active citizenship, intercultural learning)- For partners and other organisations (open access materials arising from the project; new creative methodologies; networking)- For communities (engagement of young people in reporting and discussing societal issues).The project has promoted key objectives of Erasmus+ for youth mobility, youth work development and internationalisation. It also embodied inclusion and multiligualism (particularly because local activities can be carried out in any language).Outputs from the project have been made available on an open access basis through our website.YouthPass was used to record, measure and validate learning and achievement on the project.

    "<< Objectives >>The project was born out of the confrontation between the partners, all of whom operate in rural or isolated territories with few employment opportunities for young people and which have a high potential related to sustainable tourism, but which is completely undeveloped. ""Isolated like an Island' aims to be a strategy that allows participating organisations to develop a sustainable tourism project that is a concrete opportunity for employability and growth for young people from local communities as well as the communities themselves. The seminar presented here is the first step in this strategy, and its overall objective is to create a common ground between the different stakeholders that will enable effective and shared work. Specifically, the seminar has the following operational objectives, to:1)share at least 8 sustainable tourism practices that focus on the socio-occupational inclusion of young people.2) Increase the knowledge on sustainable tourism by 3 inputs of experts invited ad hoc.3)Raise awareness among local authorities of the importance of green jobs as activators of social and economic sustainability for young people.4)Increase skills and knowledge about outdoor and environment as educational tools in sustainable development by experiencing 3 outdoor and practical activities during the seminar5)Develop 1 protocol about sustainable tourism as inclusion tool for foster youth employability. 6)Initiate at least 3 projects between the various stakeholders participating in the seminar and to build the conditions for joint planning in support of the project objectives<< Implementation >>""Isolated like an island"" is a contact making seminar that will be held in early 2023 at the Youth Hostel 'L'Elba del Vicino' (Rio Marina) for four days and will bring together 35 different actors from the proposing organizations, local institutions, young people, and local NGOs interested in the project idea from Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria and Portugal.Delegations will be composed according to the following scheme (for each partner):1) two youth workers from the partner organisation involved in the topic of sustainability and working in direct contact with the target audience (the youth workers engaged at the moment are between 30 and 50 years old)2) two representatives from the world of youth (youth leaders) who are interested in collaborating in the implementation of local projects, but also future European projects on the topic (one boy and one girl aged between 18 and 25)3) a representative of local institutions who can support the development of innovative sustainable tourism projects (age will depend on the selection that will be made. Relevant experience will be important)4) one youth worker from associations that collaborate in the area on the theme of sustainability and in particular sustainable tourism (age will depend on the selection that will be made. Relevance will be experience in the field).Each partner will have a delegation of 6 people.<< Results >>The benefit for the youth workers will be on:1. Quality of youth work. Youth workers will integrate the values of non formal learning and youth work and will acquire specific methodologies that will be able to transfer in their daily field of work. Youth will benefit from increased capacity, professionalism and educational tools that participants will be able to transfer to other youth workers at local level or to experiment with the youth directly in their daily work. The youth workers will increase their capacities to design and implement projects and offers focusing on sustainability and in all their activities and they will be able to sustainable and inclusive principles in their daily working life. Youth workers will be able to better identify the needs of this specific target group, involve them in targeted activities and promote more their active participation in new activities. They will be more equipped to “read ' the local context taking in consideration the wider perspectives that will be presented during the seminar to answer them in an effective way.2 In the long term process, youth workers will create new projects as multiplying effects also for the youth (youth exchanges, opportunities of volunteering abroad with European Solidarity Corps). The multiplying effect on the local community, and more specifically for girls, is one of the core of the entire project. Erasmus+ is a meaningful tool for promoting recognition of non formal learning and youth work also at national level, specially in the countries where both are not recognised at all. The programme allows youth to get in contact with other and wider realities, but, as said, these needs competent youth workers that will work on transfer knowledge and competencies at local level fostering quality youth work.3. Skills related to networking and operating at transnational level: participants by experience and by the knowledge will increase their skills in creating, supporting and working in network (communication, mediation and planification) and they will upscale their skills in working at international level as youth workers and representatives of their organisations.The organizations will:1) be more effective, having a more targeted approach to competence development while having their work more recognized and valorized integrated good practices and new methods for youth workers about sustainable tourism as tool for inclusion strategies 2) developed mechanisms and procedures of working and coordination in a transnational partnership,3) reinforced interaction between practices, theories and methods of youth work about sustainable developement and tourism in rural and isolated areas"

    Context/background of projectThe DigComp 2.0 framework contains the statistic, that in average 46 % of European citizens lack in digital competences (DC). Every possible effort must be made to reduce this number of less educated people. This project focuses on typical DC necessary for people to remain well-integrated members in a digitalized society.Objectives of your projectThe project aims to develop missing digital competences of adults (Adult Education AE with a special focus in so-called ”digital immigrants” which are people disadvantaged in society due to their lack of digital competences DC and therefore count to miner educated people in DC) and to enable them to take an active role in the digital society.The objectives are to create, implement and evaluate 15 modules teaching various specific topics related to everyday life covering DCs as a “Digital Immigrants Survival Kit” (DISK), to use flipped learning 3.0 as the training approach, to create an innovative self-evaluation tool based on competency-based self-evaluation mandalas, to create a transferability and implementation guide, to transfer the results and outcomes in a flexible way in other European countries and finally to publish the modules of the DISK Toolkit as Open Educational Resources (OER).Number and profile of participantsThe consortium consists of 5 partners(3 adult education organisations, one university, and a specialist in course quality & Open Educational resources OER) with complementary skills, experiences and approach to adult education.The applicant is the University of Porto that will focus on adults with lower levels of education and create opportunities for their further education, inclusion and full participation as European Citizens and for their survival in a digitalized world. 3 Adult Training organisations are well distributed in Europe and have complementary approaches to Adult Education: Edrase, GR is well-experienced in trainings on remote places, EFQBL, AT has a specific focus on older people while Training 2000, IT is a professional AE training organization providing training to all ages of adults. Ossiannilsson Quality in Open Online Learning (QOOL) Consultancy is a Swedish organization specialized on quality in trainings and the publishing as OER.Description of activitiesThe major activities will be to develop specific training modules for adults to increase DC in a specific field (competences and skills to handle daily routines and tasks with the need of a specific knowledge and experience)Methodology to be used in carrying out the projectThe chosen methodology is a kind of bottom-up strategy: An analysis creating a competence map is used to identify the specific competences (closely linked to the DigComp 2.0 framework, European Commission 2017). The result is used to develop the Training Content and to develop the training path & pilot testing. The proven modules of the toolkit will be published and enhanced by a comprehensive set of OERs. The transferability and implementation guide enabled the transfer to other European countries.Short description of the results and impact envisaged The result of this project will be a set of 15 training modules for adults less educated in DC to enable them to survive in the digitalized world and to act as active citizens (without exclusion from everyday’s tasks based on DC). Topics will be the connectivity by social media. Privacy, data protection, dealing issues with public authorities and similar issues.The trainings because of the project will enable people to handle their digital identity, will tackle literacy issues related to media and health concerns (justifiable with issues such as vulnerability to false/fake news and the relevance of health concerns in older age) in frame of their role as active citizens.Potential longer-term benefitsLonger-term benefits will be the enhancement of basically necessary DC in countries, where the level of DC of citizens is below the European average. The well-structured and developed blended learning courses (based on flipped learning) can easily be used by organisations to reduce the specifically addressed DC gap of adults in the future (estimated for the next 5 to ten years)

    Context & BackgroundThe CICERO Project (Enhancing Digital Competence through Photography) addressed three items in the field of Adult Education, which are connected to each other and tied together in this project. These are:* Digital competences (DigComp), * Digital photography (DigiPic), and * European Cultural Heritage (UCH). ObjectivesThe objectives were to develop and implement a special course for adults teaching DigiComps by Photography. Learners learned to take digital images of certain quality, to develop digital competences (using the DigComp 2.0 framework), editing images, use of images in media and other related competences. A photo contest was used to motivate learners (and other adults) to submit their photos. These images were published in the European Cultural Heritage Database as well as in a specific image gallery.Partners and consortiumStockholm University (Sweden) with the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences is the applicant. The university cared for scientifically based methods used in the project, along with the rich wealth of experience in the field of informatics and contributed to the project with a professional photographer and the deeper knowledge in cultural heritage (UNESCO context).EDRASE from Greece is a non-profit Adult Education Organisation and specialist in implementing, performing and organizing courses in remote places, for instance on the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea.EBI/EIE from Austria is a non-profit Adult Education and trainer training organisation with an own research department. EBI develops innovative training and learning concepts and methods. It’s specialized in conveying digital competences, ICT and technology enhanced training. In this project.Asociación Arrabal-AID from Spain is also a non-profit Adult Education Organisation with inclusion models. Arab impacts to the project by setting a focus on younger people and disadvantaged adults.ProAndi is a business oriented Adult Education & Youth Education organisation which will build the bridge between adults and younger people. Arab represents professional organisations with a different approach to Adult education than the non-profit organisations. ActivitiesIn the frame of the project, a special course teaching DigComp by DigiPic was implemented from all organisations except Stockholm University in several runs. The image database was created and filled with more than 1000 images (from 77 photographers) presenting items in context with European Cultural Heritage. A photo contest was performed to motivate learners to submit images. All products are published as Open Educational Resources. Well-structured dissemination activities diffuse the ideas and the products of the project to a broad audience.MethodologyThe used concept was to use digital photography as the engine to motivate learners to care for their digital competences (in the frame of the DigComp 2.0 framework for citizens) and to convey arts competences as well. These two competences were used to fill an image database presenting European Cultural Heritage (as a contribution to the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018). As side effects inclusion is a topic, as well the involvement of people with fewer opportunities. ResultsThe results are a ready-to-use approved and evaluated Blended Learning course using a heutagogical approach to learning, implementing active and cooperative learning. We have seen this creates self-determining learners. A second output is the European Cultural Heritage database providing high quality images presenting artefacts and traditional behaviours of cultural heritage. Due to the Covid pandemic, some activities were adapted compared to the application. This made a large spread of experiences possible, resulting in a deeper and wider knowledge about how to approach different groups of participants. Expected impactThe project will impact on the partner organisations by developing new and innovative approaches to adult teaching, to shift the training to a modern heutagogical approach, based on active and cooperative learning. For the adult learners, a development to modern teaching is offered including the possibility to develop to a self-determining active learner and citizen and the increase of DigiComp as well as the awareness of the European Cultural Heritage. European citizens and indeed all with internet access have access to a Database with high quality images showing masterpieces of European Cultural Heritage. Longer term benefitsThe developed course demonstrates an innovative approach to teaching adults and works as the best praxis example, it will be provided as a course also after the project’s lifetime. The Cultural Heritage Database is a tool for interested parties documenting cultural heritage and may be expanded in the future.The added experience of having to adapt to the Covid pandemic's consequences will ave a long-term effect on the skills of the teachers and organisations involved.
