Practicing Coaching & Mentoring (PC&M) is a youth mobility project focused on providing coaching & mentoring techniques to youth workers in order to work more effectively with youngsters with fewer opportunities. The main objective of PC&M is: • To introduce a different approach on coaching & mentoring fewer opportunity youngsters The main objective can be separated in six aims: • To train 32 youth workers on how to coach & mentor fewer opportunity youngsters • To let youth workers and youth organisations define their own coaching method and approach towards inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities • To improve the quality of 12 youth organisations in the way how they work with youngsters • To create agogic working methods and implement them while coaching & mentoring young people with fewer opportunities • To disseminate and spread the outcomes of PC&M through mentoring youngsters in realizing a project • To disseminate and spread coaching, mentoring and its methodologically approach' through a coaching manual PC&M improved the skills and competences of 32 youth workers and youth organisations coming from: Greece, Czech, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, and Netherlands. All participating youth workers in the training activity are working with youngsters in their community and organisation. The youth workers and youth organisations improved themselves when it comes to coach and mentor youngsters with fewer opportunities in a more effective and productive way which enables these youngsters to be engaged, challenged, motivated and invited to be included in society. The training activity happened between 10/01/2019 (arrival day) and 18/01/2019 (departure day). Training venue: Olde Vechte, Ommen, The Netherlands The main methods used in PC&M is to show and let youth workers experience/practice a variety of coaching & mentoring techniques out of which they can distill what can be implemented in the target group they work with. PC&M consisted of 4 stages: • Preparation - youth workers defined the community and target group in which they are working • Training • Post-training - learnt material and techniques in PC&M were practiced and implemented back home through coaching sessions and a workshop • Dissemination & evaluation - spreading of tangible results and evaluation of the created impact through PC&M As an outcome of PC&M there is: 1) a research which defined the own cultural map in which the youth worker and youth organisation is working 2) coaching sessions with young people with fewer opportunities in which they are engaged to participate in society 3) a workshop to let the participating youth workers train other youth workers, volunteers, members of the organisation, etc. on coaching & mentoring 4) a manual which describes 'Coaching & Mentoring' which is spread and disseminated The long-term benefits of PC&M is the quality improvement of local, national and international projects regarding youth work and specifically the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.

<< Objectives >>We are designing “Take the Lead” as a training on leaderships skills for youth workers, volunteers, trainers or anybody who is in a role of leading a team, a youth group, a youth programme, etc. and wants to become an inspiring and authentic leader, who is able to motivate and empower others. With our partners involved in the project, we work with young people for many years and we see that they often struggle to find their own place in a team, having a lot of doubts about themselves. In youth work, often very young people become leaders in different projects, workcamps, activities and they are learning how to do it “on the go”, facing various challenges that work with people brings. With this training, we want to support them in grounding themselves in the leader role, in discovering different ways of cooperating and communicating with others and achieving the results they want to have, while being able to include and empower all the other team members or people involved. The objectives of “Take the Lead” training are:To support participating youth workers in becoming more confident in their work with young people and with teams they work withTo identify personal strengths of participating youth workers that will serve as building stones for their own leadership styleTo develop youth workers skills in giving and receiving feedback, problem-solving and clear communication in challenging situationsTo encourage proactive and accountable attitude in various challenging conditions, taking in consideration and including all the people involvedTo support youth workers in working out of vision and values that are important for them and in being able to transmit this as an inspiration to othersTo enhance youth workers value on the labor market through developing the above mentioned competences To empower participants to create impact in local environment by designing new community projectsTo enable exchange and sharing of different leadership practices among different organisations and support international cooperation and networking<< Activities >>Main activity of the project is an eight-day training course on leadership, happening 10.-17.1.2020 in the ecocentre Loutí, Czech Republic. It is an experiential programme including various activities on communication, cooperation, personal leadership, ability to take actions, initiate and be accountable for what is happening. As an integral part of the project, there are follow up activities happening in the organisations and communities of the participants. The project includes 30 participants coming from eight countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Lithuania and Croatia. We target youth workers, leaders, coaches, trainers and volunteers of youth associations who are in the position when they are leading a team or they are going to be. This can concert leading a team in the organisation, organising workshops or programmes and being leaders in them, being a youth leader of volunteers or working directly with group or young people. Being in the position of a leader is an important criteria for relevance of their participation. With partner organisations, we agreed to send new members of organisations who are stepping into this new role and need support in it and offer it in the network of local organisations that we are part of and we know that they will benefit from such a training for their members. Apart from that, we include criteria on priority of participants fitting in the category of fewer opportunities groups and we take care to keep the gender balance in the group.<< Impact >>With this project we aim to support youth leaders in becoming more confident and grounded in their leader role, having a clear awareness of their strengths and being able to motivate and empower the youth they work with, becoming positive examples and role models for them. At the same time, we want to enhance their professional capacities and raise their chances on the labour market, where leadership skills are a demanded competence.Participating organisations will enlarge their capacities in working with youth and organising various activities, dissemination activities will involve and activate young people in their networks. On the international level, we aim to encourage transnational cooperations among organisations, creation of new projects and support systems for youth leaders involved, which will have positive impact on quality of their work with youth. We also want to contribute to raising awareness on opportunities with Erasmus+ programme.

<< Objectives >>The project “ Code Communication: Tools for Successful Youth Work” aims to build cross-sectoral communication, networking and dissemination capacities of youth NGOs and youth-related social enterprise, so that they improve local support systems for youth work and non-formal learning. We improve the capabilities of the partners to promote ourselves in a way that it raises our cross-sectoral recognition, which is a key step in starting and maintaining local-level cooperation among NGOs, institutions, local business and local governments to support youth activities. The project answers the common need of our partners to become more effective in communication and networking with the official and institutional and business sectors, preparing youngsters better for the requirements of employment or starting a business, supporting the other sectors in integrating young employees, especially the ones disadvantaged and at risk, into their working environments and channeling needs and representing interests of our target groups towards the decision makers. We identified communication skills and tools as a core need, the improvement of which can have a catalyzer effect in all these areas. The main objective of the project is to increase the capacity of youth NGOs’ and social enterprises’ staff, by supporting it in improving its communication skills within and outside their organisations. This will help to create new and/or maintain successful relationships related to cross- sectoral initiatives. The specifics goals of the project are:- The participants to be presented during the training course tools and best practises to improve their communication skills; - to create a real-life situation for the participants to pitch their ideas in front of representatives of different institutions, business or society.<< Activities >>The project “Code Communication: Tools for Successful Youth Work” consists of 1 8-day training course in Sofia, Bulgaria which will wake place in the period 14 - 21 September 2019 with the participation of 8 NGOs from 8 countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic,, Macedonia, Estonia and Romania . The TC is organized by YOUTHub Association. Participants are 32 youth workers, supported by 2 trainers and 1 support staff. They are youth workers in the widest sense: young leaders. peer educators, volunteers, mentors, coaches, trainers, NGO managers and social entrepreneurs of formal and informal initiatives.Participants have several years of practical experience in non-formal and / or small business projects as participants or leaders. They lack experience and training in communication with target groups, teams, multicultural, cross-sectoral situations other than their own. Their power is the informal creation of contacts to reach more people, but they are limited to those of their age group or interest. They have difficulty in establishing formal contacts. Their common need is to expand their knowledge and resources, to enrich their skills and to gain practical experience in order to connect successfully with other groups in society. They agree to an open and tolerant attitude and a careful, socially and culturally sensitive communication. Given the lack of opportunities to meet and work with social groups other than their own, and because of the lack of opportunities for vocational training, they lack the skills to translate this principle of communication into action.<< Impact >>The training focuses on making a networking and communication strategy. We share models, practical tips and tricks, such as venue setup, planning and facilitating meetings, social media, flash mob. We train verbal and nonverbal communication skills to enhance the process of building and maintaining multiple, interpersonal contacts in a networkWe facilitate learning by non-formal methods: self-directed work towards learning goals; self-assessment; skills development workshops, individuaI-, couple- and group work; simulations, exercises form creative expression, drama, dance and outdoor, debriefings, plenary discussions. We share and analyze case studies of partners' everyday challenges, learn to use online tools such as prezi.com and tools for visual design, make presentations and flash mob livestreamed on Youtube, share information on Erasmus + and YouthPass.Participants learn new, action-based methods of networking and presentation, awareness-raising, dissemination and visibility, widen verbal and non-verbal communication skills, become able to adapt their behavior to that of their target groups, colleagues, project team members, representatives of different sectors. They improve writing skills, language and styles for diverse purposes, e.g. grant applications, presentations, websites, blogs, social media. They revise and improve the communication, networking, visibility and dissemination practices and strategies of their NGOs. We actively involve participants in all project phases, and support them to integrate the results into their activities in their countries during follow-up, dissemination and into newly created local and international projects.

Game ON was a project that focuses on encouraging the active participation of youngsters through outdoor games and activities. During Game ON we created a playground for young people with no working experience in which they can explore the dynamics of working with others and exchange different forms and methods of inclusion. The project itself consisted of two main activities: APV: 4-5 May, 2019, Ommen, the Netherlands YE: 23rd August - 3 September, 2019, Ommen, the NetherlandsOur target group was youngsters between the age of 16-21 years. Based on our selection criteria 80% of the participants had no working experience from before and they found it difficult to interact within an international context. Both participants and Group Leaders were people who are interested in group dynamics, nature and games and were curious to learn and exchange different forms of inclusion within a group. The countries involved were: the Netherlands, Romania, Latvia, Macedonia, Greece, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania and Italy. The objectives of the project were the following: - to bring together 50 youngsters (between the age of 16-21) from which 80% have no working experience - to improve the cooperation skills of these participants through outdoor games, activities and field trips - to create situations in which these youngsters have the chance to communicate, exchange and create within a group, thus discovering simple ways of working with others - to encourage their active participation through simple tasks such as preparing meals or taking care of the accommodation, as well as designing and implementing at least 20 outdoor games or activities for each other - to create and disseminate 10 articles about the project (1 per partner) - to promote non-formal learning opportunities in the surroundings of hosting and sending organization with promotional materials (articles and visuals) created by us and the participants - to interact and find different ways of working with the local Dutch community through assignments - to organize 10 game events (1 per partner) in the local communities of the participants before the exchange activity - to ensure that the evaluation of the learning happens during the project through 50 Youthpasses and 50 questionnaires. The APV was focused on creating a connection with the topic of inclusion and active citizenship, as well as experiencing a demo version of the exchange activity, practicing the activities designed by our participants in order to measure their impact in this specific context and creating common working agreements that would support us and the participants throughout the project. During the YE the participants got familiar with the topic of the project by exchanging their own knowledge, by getting in touch with the local community, by arranging simple tasks (such as preparing meals, taking care of the accommodation), by playing and organizing various outdoor games and activities in order to improve their skill of cooperation and discover different ways of working within a group and by facing different situations in which they could see the impact that their active participation can bring. We worked with games in a natural context in order to create a new and playful approach towards social inclusion. This working method came from our vision and experience that learning can only happen when excitement and fun are included, playing games is a simple way to invite people to learn and discover. Through team-building games, practical tasks and other activities happening outside we created a space for personal and professional growth, meaning that the participants had the chance to work with each other in different settings, create games together, complete different assignments, include each other in the process of creation and discover various aspects of working in a team, while improving the skill of cooperation, communication, initiation, etc. All this led to improved self-confidence, higher confidence in working and communicating with other people, realizing different ideas in a productive way and including different points of view in the process of creation. After the YE our main focus was spreading the dissemination materials (visuals and articles) in the local communities. Together with our partners we evaluated the whole process and its results and spread them along with other learning opportunities within Erasmus+. Game ON created impact on multiple levels: our partners (including us) discovered new and easily applicable ways of inclusion, while our participants and their close environment got more experience and awareness regarding Erasmus+ opportunities.

"<< Objectives >>We believe that Nutrition is one of the pillars of our well-being, often we note that underestimating this factor in our work in contexts of residential experiences such as youth exchanges, trainings and different kinds pf camps, leads to waste the commitment on other levels such as those of the activities: the participants and the project team do not ""produce"" as much as they could, they lose lucidity, interest and the results get affected. In some other cases quantities are calculated wrongly, food is wasted or it’s not enough for everybody. We think that underestimating this factor is not done on purpose, in the majority of cases, by the coordinating associations but on the lack of a culture related to food and nutrition. Sharing with our partners, we also realized that capable staff who take care of cooking balanced and inclusive menus is not easy to find or it has a high cost.If we shift the focus on young people and their relationship with nutrition, statistics show that there is a need to improve awareness of the impact that such eating habits have and to promote a healthy lifestyle through concrete initiatives that involve young people and support them in developing awareness and healthier eating habits. Beside the statistics, very often we see directly in our young people how little importance is given to what they introduce into their body (food, drink, alcohol, smoke and drugs), as if the risk to which these habits exposes them is not real or it doen’t not touch them directly. Many of the young people we work with find themselves in situations of unemployment or at unemployment risk and they are stumbling into a still stagnant economy, phenomena that got worst with the pandemic and now with the war in Ukraine and the consequences on the world’s economies. We think that to support unemployed youth it is necessary to work on several fronts, one of these is to stimulate the development of soft skills through non-formal education, another is to build more positive and proactive attitudes.Through this project we wanted to work to bring solutions and results on these fields and use food, cooking and healthy life style both as means and ends. The OBJECTIVES of this project awere:1-Prepare and bring together 24 youth workers for a training course; 7 youth leaders for an APV and 42 young people for a Youth Exchange;2- Improve the skills of the staff and volunteers of the organizations involved in the project in preparing balanced and inclusive menus (with valuable vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives).3- Create and disseminate knowledge about the legislative system of the countries involved in terms of cooking for groups: permits and necessary certificates.4- Increase the organizational skills of the associations involved in the management of funds for preparing meals during their projects, improving their performances and involving their staff in it.5- Improve the skills of young leaders in the field of facilitation and non-formal education.6- Improve the competencies of the participants in cooking, regarding the food industry, sustainability, nutrition and the relationship between what we consume and health.7- Improve the soft skills of the participants to increase their chances of entering the labour market or to improve their job opportunities. Specificallyimprove: communication skills, teamwork, leadership, time management, cooperation, planning and organizational skills.8- Stimulate entrepreneurship, pro-activity, self-esteem and get out of the vicious circle of unemployment that creates insecurity, immobility and apathy.9- To know the cultures of the countries involved through national food, to ground the sense of European belonging and to value differences10- Increase the awareness of the participants about their relationship with food, their eating habits' consequences and stimulate self-care and self-appreciation.11 - Improve the quality of participants' life by introducing healthy habits regarding nutrition, movement, and relation with technology.12- To create 4 tangible outcomes about the project:A) A web pageB) A printed bookletC) A documentaryD) An online testimonies booklet13 - Implement - involving the participants of the TC and YE - at least one dissemination activity for partners<< Implementation >>We created a training course for youth workers and young volunteers active in partner associations which involved 28 participants. These were figures who collaborated with partner associations on a paid or voluntary basis and who were interested in improving their skills in designing and preparing inclusive and balanced menus according to the needs of the participants in their programs. We carried out a preliminary planning visit which involved 14 young people: 1 leader and 1 young participant for each national group. The visit had the aim of bringing together future leaders and some participants to get to know the project location, start working together, share the participants' background and their aspirations regarding the exchange, share inputs for the realization of the project and start to create concrete workshops to be included in the program. We carried out an international exchange that involved 42 participants: 7 national leaders and 36 participants.PARTICIPANTS were aged between 20 and 28 years. Their common characteristics, in short, were an interest in improving their lifestyle and making it healthier and more sustainable, focusing especially on the following areas:- nutrition and relationship with food- physical activity- balanced use of technologiesParticipants were also interested in learning about other cultures, traveling abroad, improving their level of communication in English and other languages. The LEADERS were young people between 20 and 35 years old with previous experiences in youth exchanges and non-formal education and wanted to experiment in coordination and management roles within their national groups and within the organizing TEAM of the exchange. They were also interested in increasing their skills in facilitation, leadership, organization of youth projects in general. The leaders also shared wishes and needs similar to those of the participants: they were intended as participants with an extra role. The participants in the project had a background with the following difficulties, sometimes multiple:Cultural differences 14 peopleDisability 1 personEconomic obstacles 20 peopleEducational difficulties 4 peopleGeographical obstacles 6 peopleHealth problems 4 peopleRefugees 1 personSocial obstacles 10 peopleAfter the exchange, the national groups carried out 8 local activities involving about 80 young people. The activities had the aim of sharing and deepening the themes of exchange: well-being in the areas of nutrition, physical movement and the use of technologies.<< Results >>We have created the following tangible results:A) 3 online magazines called ""Foodie"" which include:- Introduction to dietary choices for health reasons or related to beliefs: vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan, halal, no pork, no beef, gluten and lactose free.- Vegetarian, vegan, raw vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free recipes- Nutritional properties of different foods (fruit, vegetables, different types of meat, eggs, cheeses, legumes, pasta, rice, etc.)- 1 article on the food market and its trend with successful examples- 1 article on food bloggers- 1 article on the relationship between food and sustainability- 1 article on the concept of slow food- 1 article on the use of preservatives, herbicides and food colors in the food industry and their effects on the body- 1 article on eating disorders and food-related diseases- 1 article explaining what are the certificates and permits that people must have in order to legally cook for groups and how to get them, made from 12 paragraphs for the 12 countries involved in the project- fact sheets on how to grow popular fruit / fruit and how to build a garden on a balcony- fact sheets on many national foods, their recipes and nutritional values- 4 balanced and inclusive menus designed by the training participants for 4 specific programs for young people- additional content prepared by the exchange participants in national groupsFOODIE N.1: https://online.pubhtml5.com/xtwk/axgf/#p=1FOODIE N.2: https://online.pubhtml5.com/xtwk/bwcl/#p=1FOODIE N.3: https://online.pubhtml5.com/xtwk/labz/#p=1B) 2 documentaries, one on training and one on exchange.TRAINING: https://youtu.be/8Kqf7cG_rrwEXCHANGE: https://youtu.be/Tp1q98D8ZIUC) 2 booklets of online testimonials, one with the testimonies of the training, one on the exchangeThe online manuals produced were disseminated through the network of organizations involved and were sent to:- Other organizations working with young people locally, nationally and internationally- Youth mobility portals- Information point for young people and non-profit organizations- Youth sectors of the municipalities of their territories- Schools in their territoryThey were also shared on their media: web pages and social media pagesTRAINING TESTIMONIALS: https://online.pubhtml5.com/xtwk/xuau/#p=1EXCHANGE TESTIMONIALS: https://online.pubhtml5.com/xtwk/jgap/#p=1Numbers of the diffusion of the outputs: more than 26,000 views, see attached table for details. The intangible result that more than others we are happy to share concerns the impact that the training has had on our association: thanks to the training we have developed new strategies and new practices regarding food in residential projects, both in those of which we are direct coordinators , both in those that are made in Bergolo and for which we take care of practical and logistical issues, including cooking and transport, which this year have been a dozen. Our new practice implements the main objectives of the training, that is a choice of foods and recipes more attentive to the personal choices of the participants, a menu more sensitive to the target group of individual projects, to the activities that are carried out and to their religious or personal choices. philosophical. The new strategy involves the purchase of fruit and vegetables from local producers, reducing the impact of transport on the environment and supporting local production and small farmers.Another important intangible result is linked to the learning of the training participants, who brought the skills acquired into their associations, favoring a similar impact, and that of the exchange participants, especially as regards the improvement of their own well-being in the areas covered by the exchange and their soft skills.Positive impact was also achieved thanks to the 8 follow-up activities organized by the participants in their local areas: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1q6rl6UUpWXLMFju20pAn_g5AOwkjPHXO?usp=sharing"
