OERs (Open Educational Resources) are digital materials designed to be re-used for teaching, learning and research. To facilitate re-use, they are freely accessible and not protected by licenses. Ever since they emerged at the end of the previous century, they have been gaining traction as a way to democratize and progress learning. The using and re-using of these online resources for learning purposes in the real world is sometimes referred to as OEPs (Open Educational Practices). The initiators of OpenCCCP noticed that re-using the material rarely happens by itself. The material needs to be adapted to a specific context. In other words, it has to be revised, re-mixed and then re-distributed.Not wanting to work in the abstract, the partners of OpenCCCP focused their efforts on disadvantaged neighborhoods in Barcelona, Berlin, Iasi, London and Palermo. Furthermore, the subject-matter of their re-use of OERs was cultural heritage, both in its tangible and intangible sense. This added a specific interest in a moment when the discourse and practice of heritage is increasingly shifting from a specialistic and conservative approach as steered by top-down institutions to a processual understanding of the term as “heritage making”, in which communities organise, reclaim and consolidate their values through participatory practices and co-creation. First step was, then, to develop a comprehensive model to create OEPs to provide a clear frame where to develop them in the context of the needs of trainers, cultural managers, social workers and other mediator figures. The comprehensive model aims also to guarantee the transferability of the experience. Then, a curriculum was developed to train the trainers who will, afterwards, develop Local Training Laboratories in each partner country. Through that, they set out to develop a number of tools, and draw lessons from the way the re-vising, re-mixing and re-distributed was articulated locally, referred to as Local Action Plans. The tools were meant to facilitate the engaging and aligning of actors, help in designing a local action plan, and where possible facilitated the recognition and certification of skills. The instruments were brought together in an Open Curriculum.Additionally, must be acknowledged how the unexpected Covid emergency highlighted open digital resources as providing essential responses to the need for tools to manage collaborative work and horizontal cooperation without social proximity, and their translation into operational practices has been one essential scope of the training in a very concrete eventuality.Through the 2,5 years of the project, 27 participants were trained as trainers (social workers, cultural managers, activists), 46 beneficiaries participated in the local labs, and 15 local action plans were developed. Moreover, a series of collaborations with local organizations in the different countries give an idea of the interest raised and the possibilities of the findings of the project in different contexts.

It brings together the skills and cross-over experiences of citizens, researchers, artists and public decision-makers to promote social inclusion and citizen participation.<< Objectives >>The RSEU project aims to :-Strengthen the skills of people facing socio-economic difficulties (analysis, listening, empathy, adaptability, cooperation, sociability, emotion sharing, communication) to enable them to actively take part in democratic and civic life and to progress in social inclusion.-Develop an innovative and reproducible educational method to revitalize citizenship and public space locally by combining the skills and shared experiences of citizens, artists, researchers and public decision-makers.-Raise awareness among the inhabitants of five European cities, and as a priority those facing socio-economic difficulties, of the fact that we share the same community of destiny in Europe, by involving them in an educational process of artistic creation, to make them transform their perspective and sharpen their critical mind on the role of our institutions. The RSEU project primarily aims to train adults facing socio-economic difficulties through their participation in cross-disciplinary and collaborative activities. The objective of RSEU is also to train professionals from different areas, artists, teachers, researchers and public decision-makers, in order to transmit the results of the project, and in particular the replicability kit, to a larger audience. It will directly involve 1,400 people, and its results will then be disseminated to over 40,000 people.<< Implementation >>To achieve its goals, the multidisciplinary consortium will implement two training modules, as well as an ambitious dissemination programme in the five cities of the project (Lisbon, L’Hospitalet del Llobregat, Graz, Weimar and Rennes):-Fifteen think tanks (three per city) between January and June 2022 that will gather adults facing socio-economic difficulties, researchers, students, public decision-makers, local people and resource structures, and other adults. They will enable to prepare the implementation of the residences.-Five residences (1 per city) between September 2022 and June 2023, which will bring together an artist, a resident (adult facing socio-economic problems), and a public decision-maker, for 7 days immersed in a territory. The three residents will have to produce a collective reflection that will constitute the basis for a future artistic production. -Five research-actions (1 per city) by five researchers in the human and social sciences in charge of supporting and analysing the training process;-An international dissemination programme that will initially be based on the public presentation of the five works (living or visual arts) produced following the residences and secondly on the dissemination of the different results of activities and projects (web mediation website, series of guides, replicability kit and scientific analysis).<< Results >>The RSEU project will produce the following results: Tangible results: -The results of the following activities: the reports at the end of the 3 transnational seminars, the summaries of the citizen think tanks, the reports of the 4 transmission meetings, the logbooks and notes of intent of the residences, the five works of visual art or performing art and the qualitative evaluation report carried out by the group of researchers in human and social sciences Topik.-The following project results: a web mediation website, a series of guides, a citizens' think tank replicability kit, a residence replicability kit, and a scientific analysis,-A communication kit: bringing together press releases, newsletters and announcements disseminated in the local, national and European media and to the various stakeholders as the project progresses.Intangible results: 1. The expected impacts of the RSEU project on target groups (adults experiencing socio-economic difficulties) and participants (professionals from different sectors, artists, teachers, researchers, public decision-makers, other adults, students) are as follows:- Development and enhancement of intercultural skills of participants and target groups (respect and tolerance in the face of cultural otherness, different world-visions, civic mind, etc.),- Strengthening the expertise of local decision-makers and researchers through the discovery, participation and analysis of a participatory educational method combining arts, science and education to citizens.- Revitalising citizenship locally by promoting participation in democratic life and engagement of people in the major social EU issues,2. The expected impacts of the RSEU project on partners, their networks and other stakeholders are as follows:- Enriching the learning offer for the benefit of the education and training area (universities, social centres, associations), by creating and promoting attractive multilingual Free Educational Resources, co-produced with project stakeholders, of high quality and accessible to all online,- A better understanding and realisation of the European opportunity,- Development of the ability to expand its circle of target audiences and to disseminate multilingual productions adapted for very diverse recipients by creating both local and international networks.- Structuring of sustainable transnational cooperation networks between universities and non-academic stakeholders.

Not only to use the tools and to have access to them, but also to be able to carry out activities by adapting our modes of action and relationship to overcome the limitations of online and remote work.We therefore wish to work together on the question of how to form a community at a time of the isolation generated by this crisis, and thus allow cultural actors, actors of training or ordinary citizens to share their history, their knowledge, their environment and their heritage. The HOPE in US project aims to strengthen cooperation between the sectors of culture and adult education by creating a virtual third place.Confidence, benevolence, non-judgment and respect for cultural rights are the basis of this project. Thanks to it, we develop in learners their ability to give meaning to their actions, to become responsible for what they can change and to be resilient in the face of what they cannot avoid. We are 5 partners associated with the project from Belgium, Spain and France and we contribute in our activities to one or more European priorities such as social inclusion, digital innovation, civic engagement, creativity and culture .We have defined together 3 main work objectives:- Conceive new methods of creation / dissemination / mediation for players of European arts and culture- Invent interactive teaching formats for adult education stakeholders- Make learners' skills explicit and make their creative potential visibleTo achieve these goals, we have decided to create two innovative educational resources:- a toolbox that will allow you to experiment and learn how to be resilient, as well as to train and use digital technology. Each user can use all or part of the tools offered to meet their needs or the needs of the groups they support.- a Web TV which will be a virtual third-place for following and creating different programs. It will be designed as a meeting place between users, a visibility platform for cultural players, a place for the exchange of ideas, practices, knowledge, a place for training, online workshops.Adult learners from the different countries of the partnership will be involved throughout our project in order to build these digital resources for and with them. This co-construction, in which social service students will also be associated, will help to change the way we look at these people and to recognize them in their wealth, their creative potential, their innate talents.Accessible online, our productions can be used throughout the European Union, well beyond the field of adult education. The project will have an impact on the education and training system, as it aims to improve training systems in the adult education sector and more broadly in supporting this audience. The place given to the artistic creation sector will help learners and professionals to acquire transversal and digital skills and competences, contributing to reinforce creativity in education. Thanks to this project, we want to stimulate the innovative and creative potential of all, of course contributing to the resilience of the cultural and creative sectors, but also to creating hope and a feeling of European belonging.

Juan Ciudad Duarte,CENTAR ZA TVORCHESKO OBUCHENIE,Tallinna Polütehnikum,ASSOCIAZIONE FORMAZIONE PROFESSIONALE DEL PATRONATO SAN VINCENZOFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2019-1-IT02-KA201-062448Funder Contribution: 92,470 EURThe organizations involved in the project “MakIN Teach – MAKerspaces for INnovation in TEACHing practices” share the mission of supporting students/learners in their path of growth, education and inclusion into today's society. All project partners have educational underachievement (especially in theoretical disciplines) and early school leaving of their students as common problems. The objectives of this project arise from inquiries that teachers/educators of each organization have carried out at local level on the two aforementioned issues. The teachers/educators involved have found worrying rates of educational underachievement and early school leaving (the results per country are: IT 22% and 27%, ES 20% and 19%, BG 40% and 13%, EE 12% and 11%). In addition, they have found that this worrying situation is linked to the didactic methods currently used, which are often static and not adequate to involve the students/learners with educational difficulties. The teachers/educators involved believe that it is crucial to develop more attracting teaching methods and more real-life related learning environments. They also believe that Makerspaces and FabLabs (and the rapid prototyping technology used in these spaces) can support the teaching staff in this change. In detail, the project “MakIN Teach” integrates the Do It Yourself (DIY) philosophy, typical of these spaces, with the Activism theory and the related ideas of “experience learning” and “active learning”. By implementing these concepts, the consortium wants to exchange good practices in using rapid prototyping techniques, tools and spaces in the fields of education and training with the purpose of supporting teachers/educators working with students/learners showing poor educational results in theoretical subjects (e.g. mathematics, biology, geography, history, language, communication etc.).In detail, “MakIN Teach” has the following target groups:- teachers and educators working with students/learners showing poor educational results in theoretical subjects, which will be directly involved in the training events and other project activities;- makerspace/FabLab staff, which will be involved in activities aimed at introducing the “rapid prototyping technology” in education and training;- students/learners with poor results, which will benefit from inspiring and innovative learning environments. To reach the project objectives, the partners have planned three short-term joint staff training events and one student learning activity, which will provide the opportunity to have practical experiences in Makerspaces/Fablabs both to teachers/educators and students/learners. Here the titles of the transnational activities:- first training activity: “FabLab/Makerspace 101 – modelling of teaching artefacts”;- second training activity: “How to create teaching artefacts by using rapid prototyping tools and machines”;- third training activity and first student learning activity: “Turning the FabLab and Makerspace into the new classroom”.The consortium consider these transnational activities as the starting point to build a fruitful and durable network of Education Institutions and Makerspaces/FabLabs both at a local and European level. Through the transnational activities and the related local work teams’ activities, the partners will collaborate in generating ideas, materials and experiences and in collecting them in an interactive e-book containing tutorial video-clips, pictures, texts, exercises, artefact designs and information about rapid prototyping technology and the integration of the FabLab/Makerspace into the traditional teaching practices. At least 35 teachers and educators and at least 12 students/learners will participate in the transnational training/learning activities. During the local work teams’ activities, at least 100 teachers and educators and at least 90 students/learners with poor educational results will be involved.“MakIN Teach” has the following expected results:– increased teachers and educators’ ability in integrating the rapid prototyping technology into the traditional teaching practices and in using innovative and more involving learning environments;– to have opened the classrooms by fostering networks between education institutions and FabLabs/Makerspaces both at an European and local level;– to have Increased students/learners' ability in developing new forms of practical reasoning for theoretical subjects and notions;– to have provided elements, information and expertise to reconsider the current and traditional educational environments;– an interactive e-book providing information and material to facilitate the integration of rapid prototyping technology and FabLabs/Makerspace into the traditional teaching practices; The project partners are AFP Patronato San Vincenzo (IT), I.E.S. Juan Ciudad Duarte (ES) Tallinn Polytechnic School (EE), Transit Projectes (ES) and Center for Creative Training Association (BG).
