In contrast the negative political populism is also growing. In such political polarization, young people especially those with minority and migrant backgrounds are the most vulnerable. These appearances make even more complicated the social-political inclusion of the migrants and minorities. Many reports, including the latest finding of FRA – Fundamental Rights Report 2018, are reflecting on the widespread socio-economic disadvantages of these groups of young people. Minority are victims of numerous and varied human rights violation. When issues of discrimination and identity development are coupled with factors such as fewer educational opportunities, limited access to social rights, some migrants and ethnic minority youth face a dual degree of vulnerability that places them at greater risk for negative outcomes. Lack of education leads to denial of civil and political rights, including rights to freedom of movement and freedom of expression, and limits participation in the cultural, social and economic life and in public affairs. The aim of the project is combat the human rights violation, prevent radicalization towards migrants and minorities by building capacities of youth workers and multiplayer on Human Right Education, Diversity and Tolerance. The following objectiveswere achieved: - increased participants knowledge about: HRE, social exclusion, intercultural dialogue and tolerance in youth work with migrants and minority people in order to prevent radicalization and human rights violations- awared of importance of cultural diversity on local, regional and international level and to develop skills and attitudes to motivate and actively involve migrant and minorities in human rights youth projects as preventing radicalization - developed practical competencies in Non Formal Education-specifically in HRE methods with migrant and minority people - developed a strong network and possibly plan for future cooperation focusing on cultural diversity and active participation of migrant and minorities in order to prevent radicalization. The event took place in period 11-19 May 2019 and it gathered 32 participants. The training course engaged1.youth workers who are working with migrants and minorities;2. migrants and minorities who act as multipliers who are engaged in minorities and migrants rights, as well as general intercultural education with young members of a national, ethnic or language minority, returned asylum seekers, Roma as the biggest minority group in Europe. As results and impact attained all participants developed local Initiatives, some of them purposely developed for ESC funds, initiatives and actions for combating human rights violations by using HRE and applying lessons learned and skills from this training. There were very concrete initiatives aimed to raise awarness for Human rights of certain group in need in their country.

This is the reason why the youth exchange ""Encouraging Minorities"" brought together 39 young people from 5 countries: Czech Republic, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, and Spain and within the project activity, they had the opportunity to focus on how the media portrays the marginalized groups across our communities and countries. Through non-formal learning methods of backpack journalism, 32 young people along with their 7 group leaders had explored what does it mean to be part of a marginalized group and increase their own media literacy by recognizing how media builds the images in our communities of ""the others"". The project was held in Pristina, on 15 September - 23 September 2018 and gave the opportunity for the group of young media enthusiasts to explore the local environment of Pristina in Kosovo. In Pristina, and also on a field trip to Gracenica and Prizren, the group talked with locals and saw how a multicultural and multilingual region functions and works, and what are the stories of the different ethnicities living there. Participants had the opportunity during the session to discuss, share, compare and debate on what are the societal outlooks to marginalized groups in their local communities and gain the cognition and wisdom of objective reporting which they can use for promoting tolerance and inclusion. They were encouraged to start reporting on marginalized groups from their countries before the exchange and build a portfolio with materials for work. Further on, they were creating articles and photos in order to create final products of the youth exchange, i.e. articles which shows the true situation of minorities leaving in Kosovo. Also, they amplify the voice of the marginalized communities in Kosovo and partner countries by disseminating the articles in different social media groups. All produced articles were shared on the blog of the youth exchange and on the website/ Facebook page of the partner in order to reach thousands of young people across Europe. In this way, we will show to the young people from the local community what is the minorities situation in Kosovo and a good practice example of an Erasmus+ mobility. Participants succeed to face the challenge of being dropped into a new environment, working creatively with a team and using simple tools to interview locals. The techniques that participants practiced in Kosovo will be easier transferred back to their home countries resulting simultaneously in a higher level of social inclusion and employability for youth from EU and non-EU Countries. During the youth exchanges we achieve the following objective: • we promote to the 39 participants cultural diversity and tolerance. In this way, we reduce prejudices and discrimination based on race, color, cultural background, religion, nationality, language etc; • we motivate the 39 participants to be active citizens and to be involved in youth activities; • we promote human’s rights especially freedom of speech, mobility, and European Union values with emphasis on media, cultural diversity and tolerance; • we enhance the self-esteem and confidence of the 39 participants that took part in the project; • we broaden the network of European organizations working in the social field and create synergies between the partners of this project; • we create synergies between the partner of this project and other local and international organizations during the project period."
