The SOCIAL EDUCIRCATION project is built on a strong partnership of seven organisations from seven European countries. We created the partnership to share theoretical information and practical experiences in the field of SOCIAL CIRCUS, both among the project partners and to disseminate these findings to a wider circus and social professional community. The definition of Social Circus is to carry out SOCIAL WORK USING CIRCUS TOOLS. To use the magic of circus to work with special groups that have fewer possibilities: immigrants, the physically or mentally impaired, ethnic minorities, elder people, orphans, street children, youth or adult prisoners. The project aimed to show that circus can be an alternative way of reaching social, physical and mental development. By the impact of our project social circus could become a more DISCUSSED METHOD OF WORKING WITH SOCIALLY EXCLUDED GROUPS. During the 2 year activity partners provided SPECIALIZED VOCATIONAL TRAINING in the form of 5-day long workshops and longer 12 day joint staff trainings. Every partner hosted a high-level specialized workshop in a specific topic offering training for an average of 14 participants, where besides the members and employees of the partner organizations, places at the workshops were available for the wider European community of social circus. Our specialized workshops1. Circus workshop for prisoners 2. Workshop for kids with physical disabilities3. Social Message in Circus 4. Use of Voice for empowerment of Gipsy Women 5. Advanced Training for social circus teachers 6. Dealing with Behavioural Issues in Group Work7. Workshop for refugee children and young peopleWe built connections and cooperated with associated partners and realized a communication towards governmental sectors, decision makers and other institutions acting in the social field or education. We assessed our employees by these vocational trainings, we evolved a MULTIPLIER effect by disseminating the results to circus professionals and transmitting the idea of social circus to teachers, educators and professionals of the social sector. We also have a huge effect on the PATIENTS/ CLIENTS we are working with, since they gain COMPETENCIES, which are essential for their integration into the labour market. In general we increased the market of social circus. Each single partner is working with more than 500 individuals per year: clients/ patients, some of us work with thousands. This international network allows us to raise the quality of this work and increase the number of experienced teachers. Beside several remarkable effects on the personality and vocational skills of the beneficiaries our MAIN RESULTS are the transfer of best practices to the partners, and in an indirect way to the wider circus and social sectors. The project was INNOVATIVE since we specialized our trainings on new topics, involved new partners and produced professional material. It is also COMPLEMENTARY to European work, since our network is an opportunity for other organizations as well to increase their knowledge in the field of social circus. Partners realized a DEMOCRATIC partnership amongst them based on consent and common agreement. Partners shared tasks and took a common RESPONSIBILITY for the QUALITY of the project. Partners kept continuous contact during the two years, communicating through skype meetings, group emails, document sharing and at network meetings. We produced professional articles, conclusion materials, personal reflections, videos and photos of each workshops, which can be found on our website WWW.EDUCIRCATION.EUAll the project activities are embedded into our ongoing national activities, so as to ensure that our work is long term.

Junior Leader Scheme for Youth Circus is a project of three youth circus organisations: Galway Community Circus, CIRQUEON and Cirkus LeGrando for young people aged 15 - 18 years to gain experience, knowledge and confidence in the area of circus teaching and youth work that they can put into use by becoming junior leaders in their organisations. The idea came from a need for motivated junior leaders in all three partner organisations. We called the project ABCirk within our schools and also in the communication to the outside world. There were five young people and two circus tutors from each organisation participating in the project for the whole duration of two years between autumn 2016 and summer 2018.The objectives of the project were to bring young motivated youth circus members together and teach them skills to become junior leaders in youth circus classes in their circus schools. We wanted to give them the experience of international cooperation and through this finding the differences and similarities to circus teaching in different circus organisations. They were working together as a group of peers learning from each other as well as from the participating tutors. The group of 15 young people stayed the same for the whole duration of the project. They took part in three training modules during the two years. In Galway in May 2017 they learned about video making, group dynamics and safety in teaching. In Prague in November 2017 they got deeper in theory of (circus) pedagogy and learned about using games as a tool for teaching and learning in (circus) education. In Brno in June 2018 they helped with setting up and taking down of a youth circus festival, assisted with the organisation and also taught workshops to younger youth circus members from three European countries. The learning process, methods and games were documented in videos taken by the young participants and shared online: https://bit.ly/2Nv1dAZ The young participants stated in their evaluations that the project gave them an insight in circus teaching, raised their confidence in teaching and awareness of the need to adapt the lessons to each concrete group. They could see the progress made during the two years and also in between the three training sessions. Majority of the Czech participants felt much more confident in English and all 15 participants felt more comfortable in international cooperation by the end of the project. Most of them were also offered work in assisting in circus workshops at festivals and other events by their schools which makes it likely for them to get more paid work in the field in the future. There have been a great interest from other youth members of the partner schools to take part in this project. The three schools and another Belgian youth circus school submitted a new application for a KA2 project through the Czech National Agency that would use the learning of this project and move it further in a direction of peer to peer learning.
