This exchange took place in the town of Limeuil, in the Dordogne, in partnership with the town and its local associations. At the confluence of river Dordogne and Vézère, Limeuil is an old port with intense commercial activity. Small medieval village with typical stone houses of Périgord Noir, this town offers a perfect welcome to a group of young internationals. During the project the participants went to meet the inhabitants and created themselves animations, shows, flashmob. They used the photo and the video as a means of creation and gathered various testimonies, making the inhabitants talk who wished it on: For the older ones - their best moments of life, yesterday and today in Limeuil For the youngest - what they like and would like for them and the future of their village The participants helped themselves with writing and theater workshops to organize the necessary devices for these collections and to set up a photo / video exhibition. They were also invited to express themselves on these issues and to share their cultures, through themed evenings around shared meals or ""rendez-vous in unknown land"", at home in small groups. During the project, the group was able to promote the richness of our diversities and the European spirit and to promote a territory carrying culture. The participants were invited to work in exchange workshops, to develop the transmission of practices and know-how. Through visits and outings, the participants had the opportunity to know the local / social environment and participate in the life of the village (markets, gourmet meals, local events ...) In terms of local partnerships, the participants worked in the village, with its inhabitants and its local structures (the tourist office, the festival committee, the sports associations -pétanque and football in particular-, the local artists ...) and offered free entertainment for everyone. The project allowed participants to take initiatives, to experiment with their organizational, communication and negotiation skills; to meet other cultures, exchange ideas, ways of life. At the end of the project, the participants were able to share their experiences at different levels: they are also invited to use the experience gained for this purpose for future twists (in their sending associations: international projects, volunteers, ...; everyday life)"

Discussing volunteerism and discovering its core benefits;2. Discussing social exclusion, and how volunteerism can help with social inclusion and integration; 3. Sharing and creating voluntary opportunities for the youth by implementing local initiatives. The projects’ objectives were set as follows: to highlight the positive benefits of volunteering for the volunteers themselves, to communities, and the world in general; to develop new knowledge and skills useful in achieving social and personal changes through volunteering; to empower the exchange of voluntary experiences and opportunities among young people; to promote active citizenship, social responsibility, and social inclusion; to promote the Erasmus+ Programme, the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), as well as non-formal education; to strengthen respect for cultural diversity and to increase participants’ intercultural competencies; to promote the social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, especially the ones facing social, economic, and geographical obstacles; to empower young people in the promotion of volunteering and actively participating in their local communities by organizing local initiatives; to engage socially excluded groups of young people to take part in local voluntary initiatives. Our long-term objective was to motivate young people to apply new skills in their communities and to strengthen the importance of volunteering where it is not recognized/appreciated as something valuable and unexceptional in the field of active citizenship. We believe it is a great opportunity to carry out such a project with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme, considering the fact that one of the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme is to promote mobility, volunteerism, and active citizenship. In conclusion, youth exchange „Volunteer, so the social exclusion disappear! “ gathered 56 participants in Asnaes, Denmark, coming from 7 partner countries: United Kingdom, The Republic of North Macedonia, Latvia, Romania, Denmark, Serbia, and Turkey with the aim to explore the benefits of volunteering on the life path of the young people, with placing a special focus on social inclusion<< Implementation >>The project consisted of one mobility activity–youth exchange for 56 participants, including 28 participants with fewer opportunities and 7 group leaders, coming from 7 Programme countries: Denmark, The Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Latvia, Turkey and UK, and took place in Asnaes, Denmark. This project was inclusive and the project team chose the participants that would benefit the most of this project, including 4 participants per country with fewer opportunities such as:• young people from different cultural backgrounds e.g. refugees, immigrants, speakers of minority languages, etc.• young people facing social challenges e.g. discrimination, limited social skills, single parents, etc.• young people in economically disadvantaged situations e.g. poor, unstable employment or long-term unemployed, etc.• young people with educational problems e.g. school drop-outs, no qualifications, learning difficulties, etc.• young people from challenging geographical areas e.g. remote or rural areas, urban problem areas, etc.Profile of the participants: Age: 18-30;• good English speaking skills• motivated to explore the principles of non-formal education;• motivated to learn about the importance of volunteering and all its benefits;• willing to step out of their comfort zone and make a positive change;• few participants per national team with previous voluntary experience;• willing to take active participation during the project and to develop new skills (communicating, organizing, digital, public speaking, etc.);• available during all project phases;• strong interest in the multiplication of the lessons learned, by implementing local voluntary initiatives;• open-minded, understanding, and ready to collaborate into mixed teams with other countries;• motivated to take part in Erasmus + project and learn about the Programme, YouthPass, and ESC and all its opportunities. The group leaders had the following profile:• experience and knowledge in Erasmus+ Programme and non-formal experience;• ready to build positive, non-judgmental relationships with young people;• ready to collaborate with other group leaders for designing programme for young people;• willing to create safe, motivating, and inclusive learning;• motivated to involve young people in planning, delivery, and evaluation of non-formal activities using participatory methods;• ready to support their national team such as: helping to deliver some workshops, translating from/to English, encouraging participants for active participation, facilitating reflection meetings, etc.• support young people in acquiring intercultural competencies and recognizing them;• to motivate, support, and encourage participants for the follow-up activities;• guide, lead and mentor participants during voluntary initiatives. The project „Volunteer, so the social exclusion disappears!“ was experience-based, therefore the participants were involved in preparing the programme, taking part in activities, and had with certain responsibilities. Therefore they experienced many new things during the project, but all in order to transform those experiences into solid learning, they had time and space needed for reflection which enabled them to extract conclusions and plan how they are going to integrate them in the future. The main project output was the local voluntary initiatives that were implemented by participants with help of the group leaders and sending organizations in a period of three months after the youth exchange was finished.<< Results >>As a result of this youth exchange, 56 participants coming from 7 different countries improved their level of the key competencies, increased solidarity and acceptance, enhanced self-expression, increased active participation and self-esteem, as well as increased awareness and understanding of other cultures.Participants improved their social skills, widened their horizons, and broke stereotypes. During this project, participants had a greater knowledge of volunteering benefits, increased understanding of social inclusion, and were armed with tools to enhance it. Other than that, participants had expanded knowledge in the Erasmus+ Programme and ESC opportunities.By the end of the exchange, we saw an improved learning performance of young people and increased motivation for taking part in future non-formal education opportunities, and more motivated young people to participate in and/or organize voluntary activities related to a cause they care aboutDuring the follow-up activities, participants expanded their knowledge in project management, leadership, active participation by learning by doing method. They used the knowledge gained during the youth exchange to implement local voluntary initiatives among their peers. The youth exchange „Volunteer, so the social exclusion disappear!“ motivated participants to apply new skills in their communities and to strengthen the importance of volunteering where it is not recognized/appreciated as something valuable and un-exceptional in the field of active citizenship.Participants created Booklet which was shared in every possible way, by using mass media, the internet, project’s blog, wider impact will be created not only to partner countries but all around Europe.Long term impact: We can clearly see that the local initiatives motivated young people to take part in more volunteer opportunities and to be proactive in their lives and in their communities.all partners and participants were encouraged to share information about the project on their Facebook pages, blogs, or websites. In this way, the project made an international impact as well.
