The main activities will be the support to technicians and teachers on education, training and free time activities for children, elderly and disable people as well as support local organic farmers, local fair trade and our local Youth Center (Casa da Juventude de Amarante). In this last option they will be involved in the elaboration and implementation of activity program for young people (as for ex.: cultural agenda of the youth centre), strongly involved in mobility and participation projects under Erasmus+ YA Program. The working methods will be based on Non Formal Education (NFE), active participation and learning by doing. The EVS volunteers will learn by their own experiences in direct contact with other youngsters and target-groups from each Hosting Organisation. The volunteers will use several methods of NFE during their tasks: brainstorming, round tables, work in small groups and plenary presentation, production of multimedia material (photo and video), exhibitions, energisers, role-plays, simulations, activities from COMPASS (Manual for Human Rights Education with young people), sports and outdoor activities, guided visits, etc.. This will be a very important moment of learning, personal growth and an opportunity to open their horizons and enrich their knowledge. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to develop their autonomy, communication skills and social interaction. This EVS project intends to create a great impact both to volunteers and host organizations, and by that, to the entire community. The regular presence of foreign volunteers in those institutions, valorize the role of young people in society, reinforce the values of solidarity, also at intergenerational dimension, and place youth organizations such as AMC as local coordinators and ""ambassadors"" of Europe and its opportunities."

"The 8 activity days youth exchange ""N.A.T.U.R.E.+"" will be held in Italy, in Morfasso from 30th June to 7th July 2017, while the APV will take place previously, between 26th-29th May 2017 (including travel days). This project comes as an initiative of young people worried about the way they are literary absorbed by available technologies into a virtual world that just cuts off their free time, generating none or poor outcomes and slowing down social life. Technologies without constructive feelings or artistic sense may turn into dangerous resources, not only for the individuals, but even for large groups (especially of young people). Thus the idea of using available technologies for encouraging creativity and explore new ways of expression through movie-making. As technology is by now a common and democratic good, we can also say that nature and its elements are common goods since always, equally misunderstood and misused by many. This youth exchange moreover will focus on the way young people feel and think about nature and on creative solutions they will explore in order to increase the respect for it, using available technologies. A common conclusion after a general reflection with the partners, was that it is needed only a walk around the neighborhood to see that nature doesn’t receive from humans as much care and cure, as traffic, pollution or other avoidable damages. Many people are just following the inefficient ways of production promoted by the big industries, getting addicted to inefficient ways of consumption and eventually waste. “N.A.T.U.R.E.+” resulted as a collaboration between partners and participants with different needs and different competences, aiming to increase the respect for nature through artistic use of available technologies. Its specific objectives are: - to explore creative methods of connecting young people with nature, using trash as a main base meant for developing artistic ways of self-expression, overcoming cultural stereotypes towards a common identity linked with EU values - to reflect upon the importance of free time with 30 young people from 6 different countries and how available technologies influence the social, economical and ecological aspects of our lives, with active tasks and exchange of ideas and experiences - to develop competences and encourage the sharing of good practices among the participants meant to increase awareness about environmental issues at European level, based on a non-formal methodology and intercultural dialogue, during 8 activity days - to set up a safe platform based on respect and collaboration, in which the participants will match video-making methods, the creative use of free time, artistic ways of self-expression and environmental issues, into 5 short videos produced with available technologies Participants 30 participants aged between 18 and 24 years, from Italy, Romania, Spain, Greece, Georgia and Ukraine adding the organizing team, will create a pleasant intercultual atmosphere, where ideas and creativity will be developed in order to approach nature through arts and available technologies. Methodology: The activities will be based on a non-formal methodology (energizers, team-building, simulations and role-play, interactive presentations, visual and performing arts, practical workshops), with lots of outdoor activities and video-making. This learning journey will divide the youth exchange in 2 parts, within a general frame that includes informal learning intercultural learning, exchange of experiences, reflection and fun. - first half - Introduction to different working dynamics regarding nature, arts & technology, as well as connection between these 3 topics - second half - Getting to use these dynamics in order increase self-expression, respect for the others and nature, link to EU dimension Impact: The learning process is meant to support the participants' personal growing, developing skills, improving attitudes and gaining knowledge regarding cultural and intercultural aspects, artistic ways of self expression, constructive use of available technology, respect for the others and for nature, non formal education and intercultural learning. All the results and outcomes will be passed directly and indirectly to the partners in order to apply them in their local or international projects. Results: - artistic creations with recycled and organic materials - 3 short videos, about the sustainable use of free time - 3 micro-documentary about local fauna and flora during the ""exploring day"" - the public event in which will be presented in front of the local community the outcomes of the activities, especially the 5 elaborated short videos recorded with smart phones (with trash elements), meant to promote EU values and respect for nature - a thematic Facebook Page - 30 Youthpass Certificates - a booklet translated in the 6 participant languages which will be spread in the local communities and throughout Italy"

<< Objectives >>In little more than 10 years, the young people of Europe have lived through several crises, with an impact on their mental health that is only now beginning to become apparent, thanks to scientific research.Economic, health, war and climate crises are all emerging from a single crisis: that of the Western civilisational model and its narrative, which is in a phase of precipitous decline, with possibly catastrophic consequences. This context of unprecedented complexity and uncertainty is calling into question the future as we had imagined it, generating profound changes in society, and in the routines and lifestyles of individuals and communities. Access to housing, future employment, adaptation to climate change, culture and leisure, education, ..., are some of the issues that face great challenges and unknowns, having a high degree of social impact, especially on young people, as they are in key moments of decision making for the development of their lives. In particular, the current phenomenon of Eco-Anxiety or Climate Anxiety, i.e. the development of anxiety, depression, sleep and eating disorders, is probably the most visible emerging issue to investigate and understand the level of affectation of the youth population at this historical moment. At the same time, this research can be seen as an opportunity to transform and create new models of life more in tune with a healthier and more balanced relationship between environment and society.FUTURE B wants to look at the emotional situation of the youth population, their relationship to the climate emergency, and transform this look into an opportunity for youth empowerment, resilience and action towards social change. The partner organisations that support this proposal, from Mediterranean Europe (Italy and Spain, Greece) and from the Europe that is also experiencing the war crisis more closely (Lithuania and Romania), come from European countries that have been hit with varying degrees of impact on public and psychosocial health. But in a context of global crisis, we face similar challenges for young Europeans as a whole, and above all we believe that now, more than ever, we need to weave alliances of solidarity and mutual support to create more resilient communities and more desirable futures. FUTURE B aims to:-To be an emotional, collective and individual space for sharing lived experiences in relation to the climate crisis.-To train in tools for emotional and conflict management, both individual and group, in order to strengthen the resilience of young people and their communities.-Facilitating the restitution of life projects, reconnecting with the illusion and personal and collective motivation.-To train in tools that enable participants to build collective life projects.-To promote personal and community resilience through the acquisition of tools for emotional management, networking and mutual support.-Sharing experiences and tools through exchange between youth workers and active young people living in Italy, Germany and Spain. Strengthening links, knowledge and capacity for action and articulation in their own communities.-Exploring the opportunities for systemic change that currently exist to build a more sustainable and just future for people and the environment.<< Implementation >>FUTURE B invites a group of 30 people, youth workers and young activists, from 5 social organisations in the cultural and community field, to generate a training space for a week, where they can share experiences and good practices in relation to the impact of the climate crisis, train in tools for personal and community resilience, explore various tools for emotional management and transformation of individual and group conflict, project design and change processes in uncertain environments. All this combined with spaces for group creation and reflection, giving space for what is alive in the group to emerge, and to build joint narratives that bring us closer to a more sustainable and just future for people and the environment. The methodology used for the training activity is action learning. After having introduced basic concepts of the key methodologies to be shared, the participants will put these tools and knowledge into practice in their own experiences and projects. As a common thread the group will follow the following steps, based on inputs and exercises with facilitation and social participation methodologies ( Process Oriented Psychology, Deep Ecology, Design Thinking, and Social Theatre):1.Welcoming the lived experience. Taking steps to build trust with myself, with the group, with the world.2.Deepening the emotional and trauma management experienced in relation to the climate crisis.3.Tools for inclusion of all voices and conflict transformation.4.Vision of opportunities and regenerative capacity in myself, in the group/community, in the world.5.Identify what is emerging. What are the most relevant issues on which we want to act as individuals, as a group, as a world.6.Building Spaces for the future7.Dream, Plan, Prototype and Celebrate. The sessions will include individual, small group, plenary and pair work (that's why we propose an even numbered group) and training pills in which the contextual frameworks of the methodologies and the keys to them will be presented on a theoretical level. The working methods used include various techniques so that participants can explore their creativity through movement, performance, improvisation, drawing and collage, and other forms of artistic expression. The participant profiles are divided into two broad areas: youth and community workers on the one hand, and young activists from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, involved in local environmental and social justice advocacy processes on the other.<< Results >>As outcomes we envision that FUTURE B will be the container of different seeds that will grow all over Europe to create a strong network of youth workers and young activists committed to the emotional development of young people and eco-social justice. The seeds, as outcomes, are represented by the projects that will be merged from the project activities to be implemented in the future at local, national or transnational level and that are oriented to generate alternatives for the future, both at the narrative level and at the level of implementing realities. At the same time, we hope to promote among the participants the necessary framework to better understand the multidimensionality of the current global challenges we face as humanity, presenting innovative methodologies that create the necessary connection between activism and emotional accompaniment for personal, relational and collective empowerment.Specifically, we hope that through this process and its dissemination, we can have an impact on the social dialogue on the relationship between mental health of the young population and the perception of the climate crisis. In this sense, we hope to contribute to the reflection at national and European level on the mental health of young people, in a historical context where mental health diagnoses are multiplying as well as, unfortunately, cases of suicide.
