<< Objectives >>This training course was aimed for youth workers, who are working with young people. The main aim of this project was to educate youth workers in the field of entrepreneurship with a focus on SE. We aimed to equip the participants with knowledge of entrepreneurship that they would then pass on to youth. We focused on SE so that with the information on SE and with knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship itself, these youth workers could open their own SE and/or help their organisation follow the SE path. The objectives of this project are: -To help the youth workers to get hands on thе ‘Dеsign Thinking’ process, by creating business ideas inspired from prе-dеfinеd challenges in thеir local communities.-Show what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to manage risk taking.-To tackle the topics of leadership, Self-empowerment, time management, risk assessment and team work which are all essential in the area of entrepreneurship. -To help the participants to get an experience on the Canva business model and how to adapt the Canva business model for the planning of a social enterprise. -Up-skill youth workers to foster the employability and sense of initiative with the young people that they work with. Through this project we gave competencies to youth workers on how to educate young people in starting a business. One outcome was that once the knowledge was transferred from the youth workers to the youth, the youth had better support system and guidance towards the right support needed to start up a business venture that had the possibility of growing more in the future and thus employing more people within the same society. This led to a multiplying effect.Furthermore, as the youth workers were empowered and given skills on how to effectively open and run a business with a focus on SE, they were given all the knowledge to open a SE themselves, which benefitted them, and the whole community. Also, these entrepreneurial skills that were to the youth workers, are now used by the youth workers themselves, in the running of their organisations.Apart from training youth workers on the area of entrepreneurship, this training indirectly trained the youth workers that took part in this training course on how to make use of digital tools in their youth work activities. As we had a number of preparatory online sessions, carried out by the trainers, the participants also learnt what mediums one can make use of for delivering online sessions, how to plan and deliver and online session and how to make it interactive. Thus, this was a holistic learning experiences for our participants who had the opportunity to sharpen their skills on various areas.<< Implementation >>Our training course, Fighting Youth Unemployment Through Social Entrepreneurship during and after COVID-19, was a 6 day (Plus two travel days), training course was held in Megara Greece between the 10 – 17th of September 2021with participants coming from Poland, Romania, Croatia, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, Greece and Malta. The training had sessions that aimed to educate youth workers in the field of entrepreneurship with a focus on social entrepreneurship. Now these youth workers, are in a better position to equip young people with skills and knowledge that is now helping them think in an entrepreneurial way. We also equipped them with leadership skills and now they are capable to start their own social business. All the planned activities made use of non-formal methods of education to implement the sessions. The sessions made use of methods like, Energizers, Team building, simulations, workshops, on-site visits outdoor activities and discussions amongst others. All the activities involved, included non-formal methods of learning. The programme was divided in a way that one session lead to another, thus creating a flow that kept the participants learning and also kept them motivated and always ready for the next step. The participants also had some online training sessions before the actual training course itself. This helped them to prepare for the training.<< Results >>This training course was aimed for youth workers who are working with young people. Our project Youth activator: Make it happen will bring for one week 27 participants from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, United Kingdom, to Adamov, CZ. We decided to create a training course which brought together youth workers and youth leaders who want to be the spark which will light the change and activate the youth in their societies. Aim of the project was to increase the active citizenship of youth with focus on social participation in the community and volunteering; exercise project management skills in order to support the boost of community projects and activities in the participants’ realities and provide the participants with participatory methods which they can use in order to motivate the youth and engage them with the local community and environment. We aimed our project to be very practical and based on real problems and needs. When we set the objectives we had this in our minds so our project would equip the participants with competences which will help them to exercise these features of active citizenship in their community. Our objectives were: Explore the term of active citizenship and social participation and find out together about methods, actions, events which can boost the participation and active citizenship of the youth and accompany them with practical examples when and where they can be used. Emphasize volunteering as way of active participation in the community life as well as worthy tool for self-development by meeting with volunteers and getting to know their experience as well by setting own way in which the participants can via volunteering develop themselves and community. Provide the participants with project management skills. We want them to practice the project logic and project management both theoretically and practically on real examples and issues from their environment.Meet the representatives of running community projects in Brno, find out about the context, aims and also processes of their projects and learn from them practical approaches how to communicate with the locals and how to motivate them and engage them to the project. Analyse problems which the participants and their communities face, explore the resources and create action plan on which the participants will apply the know-how they achieved from the local activists and also they will practice their project management skills.Test the new skills in practice by creating a project proposal and a plan while shaping it for the concept of participatory budget which is efficient tool how to increase the democratic participation and engagement of locals on decision making. The methodology of the training course was based on the non-formal education approach. Some of the methods used include brainstorming, simulation, expert input, presentations, open group discussions, debates, case studies, excursion and others. The end of each activity featured a short debriefing moment, during which the trainers summed up the results of the activity and emphasized key points that the participants can take away from it.Participants got a chance to improve many of their key competences, including but not limited to communication, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, civic competence and learning to learn. Thanks to an emphasis on the participants’ learning process, they are more capable of organizing their own learning in an effective way. The project served as a motivation for participants to become more active in their organization and community, using the newly acquired civic and managerial competences. Our project brings to these communities youth leaders with enthusiasm and skills needed for raising initiatives in order to tackle local issues. Also as the youth workers participating on our project got the knowledge and skills related to motivation, they will use these in order to show the local youth how they can benefit from active participation and also how they can contribute to the community. Our project to has a positive impact on youth from the environment of our partner organization in sense of their higher engagement with the society.

"<< Objectives >>The Minister of Internal Administration, José Luís Carneiro, admitted that the fire that broke out on Saturday in Garrocho, in Covilhã municipality, ""is an environmental tragedy"" and is burning in a ""context of great complexity"".The interior minister insisted that the way to fight fires is ""to prevent them"", recalling that a very high percentage of ignitions has to do with the misuse of fire, or with the misuse of machinery in forest areas. In addition, he added, it is also necessary to fight ""relentlessly against those who set fires"".The ""Last Tree on Earth"" project emerges as a response to raise awareness among the European population to the problem of forests, their forest and environmental protection based on the objectives of the European Union related to environmental sustainability. The National Mountaineering Club through the actions that it develops regularly intends to be a protective organization of the Serra da Estrela and through its annual plan of activities develops different actions that intend to give strength through the Last Tree on Earth. The objectives that we intend with this project are- Provide participants with knowledge about forests;- To make the participants aware of the importance of forests in our lives;- To explain the different uses of forests; - To provide the participants with knowledge about fires;- To raise the participants' awareness of the need to prevent forest fires.Through the objective of influencing policies at local, national and European level we intend to make a positive contribution to Forest Activism, and this project is an opportunity to exchange methods and tools and also experiences between those involved. Thus, the network of partners in this project consists of 6 partner organisations, which due to their experience and due to a cooperative and transparent relationship are the ideal partners for the successful development of the Last Tree on Earth Project. The Spanish organization, Municipality of Almussafes. This municipality develops daily work with the young generation to raise awareness of forestry and European values. The leader will be a member of the organization with extensive experience in the field.Creatorium, a Norwegian organization, is a transversal organization but develops a field work very close to the young people and will bring to the project environmental issues and realities different from the other partners due to its rural location in Norway and the activities it develops. The Romanian organization, Geo Clube, is a non-profit association that develops a very evident work in raising the awareness of the Romanian youth generation in different areas. Among the projects it develops, the projects with forest action are evident and it will bring to this project realities marked by the work on this theme. The Czech organization, Evropské centrum mládeže Břeclav, is an organization marked by being inserted in a rural environment and due to its experience in international and local projects related to the environment, it is believed to be an asset for the development of this project. The Greek association, Youth Horizons, is an association that is inserted in this network of partners due to its experience in youth work related to awareness raising and rural work. The 6 partner associations develop, throughout the annual work, activities directly related to the theme and that will be an added value for the course of the project. For effective communication of the whole network of partners of the Last Tree on Earth project, e-mail was established as the ordinary means, for which we have e-mail addresses of the entities that participate in the project. Telephone contacts are also available for when information needs to be highlighted or if there is a need to complement or expand on a previous issue, while reiterating email as a basic communication support.<< Implementation >>Today we are confronted with the serious problem of forest impacts. It is a reality that touches us all. Thus, we want to stress that our attitude will not be one of indifference, but of conscientious citizens with critical and activist thinking. The Minister of Internal Administration, José Luís Carneiro, admitted on 12 August 2022 that the fire that broke out on Saturday in Garrocho, in Covilhã municipality, ""is an environmental tragedy"" and is taking place in a ""context of great complexity"".The interior minister insisted that the way to fight fires is ""to prevent them"", recalling that a very high percentage of ignitions has to do with the misuse of fire, or with the misuse of machinery in forest areas. In addition, he added, it is also necessary to fight ""relentlessly against those who set fires"".The Last Tree on Earth project will be developed in Portugal, particularly in Covilhã, and will count with the participation of 42 young people and youth technicians with preferential ages between 18 and 30 years, from 6 countries: Portugal, Spain, Norway, Romania, Czech Republic and Greece between 11 April and 20 April 2023. These countries are the co-organisers and the recipients of activities throughout the project before, during and after the implementation of the youth exchange. The realization of this project in the city of Covilhã has to do with the sensitivity and the need for these forest problems that our association has been demonstrating. Throughout the plan of the exchange are planned initiatives of forestry character where participants develop skills that will be useful for their day-to-day as well as for the development of the group project, such as reforestation, a walk by Serra da Estrela, a forest cleaning, etc. Furthermore, presentations of several successful projects are planned to show the participants different working methods and possible initiatives to develop when they return to their countries of origin, projects that will be compiled in a video tutorial to be disseminated at the end of the project by the network of partners. The plan of activities for this project also includes moments in which the participants will be in contact with new experiences and dynamics related to the environment and nature and also with life in Nature. In the Last Tree on Earth project, the participants will be involved in the growth and development of skills about forest activism and opportunities in rural areas and in useful skills for the personal development of each young person. Thus, the profile will be, as much as possible, a participant aged between 18-30 years old, youth workers or community leaders being activists or with knowledge on the subject.Gender equality is considered paramount in Last Tree on Earth as it is one of the pillars of the project in order to achieve and realize social and institutional changes that produce sustainable development with equity and growth. Gender equality refers to equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities that should benefit all people, regardless of whether they are men or women.<< Results >>During the course of the Last Tree on Earth project, the main beneficiaries will be the participants of the exchange, at all stages of the exchange, as they are the future agents of change. We have no doubt that once this change is assumed by the participants, it will leave the paper and become a reality in European society. At the end of the youth exchange, an impact is expected on the participants, as it is they who will continue to evolve, personally and in society, to become the centre of the associations they represent. The participants have a leadership role within the associations which impacts on the other participants in a more personal and close way. There is no doubt that today they will be the agents of change and that they will continue the efforts to try to change the reality of European society and social integration in the world. In constant cooperation with the associations of each participating country, we will contact local authorities in order to disseminate the results of the exchange, as we will do with the local representatives of Covilhã municipality. This dissemination intends to be effective in publicising the participation of youth workers and young people in the Erasmus + programme as well as the results of the Last Tree on Earth project. The project also foresees the interaction of the participants and the dissemination of the results in the youth spaces in Covilhã, as a method of impact with the population of the city that hosts the youth exchange. For the local and regional impact, it also foresees the realization of a public presentation of the results of the Last Tree on Earth project to the community and the local and national media (daily newspapers, television) and also Covilhã City Hall and the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth, Federação de Associações Juvenis do Distrito de Castelo Branco, Quercus, ZERO - Associação Sistema Terrestre Sustentável, Projecto Rios, Fundo Ambiental, Instituto de Conservação da Natureza e Florestas, GeoPark Estrela, to present the results and to exhibit the materials developed by the participants during the project, naturally, with their consent."
