This is identified in the literature as the intrinsic value of culture. When cultural practices translate into other fields such as health and education, they have other social and economic effects, such as preventing dropouts in education, improving health, making people more resilient, growth that is more inclusive, etc. These effects are instrumental values of culture [OECD (2018), Culture and Local Development]. Capitalizing on the intrinsic and the instrumental values of culture, now needed more than ever due to the Covid-19 pandemic and as a response to its economic and social impacts, in ENACTING, we present a method for civic engagement that uses video documentary to capture discourses within focused local settings and translocate them to online spaces. Our method aims to facilitate creativity, innovation, and active citizenship, as well as the exchange of perspectives between communities across these spaces.OBJECTIVESOur overarching objective is to promote common values, inclusion, civic engagement and participation through skills development in the arts and innovative digital practices.Therefore, the project aims to:- identify social challenges in local contexts, and provide a concrete methodology for doing so- promote skills development in the artistic digital practice of developing a social documentary by providing a web-based training on social documentary development (ENACTING MOOC). The course will enable learners to rethink local challenges in a creative way, and to put forward potential solutions to those, thus contributing to their community.- empower awareness, active citizenship, participation, social inclusion and foster innovative, intercommunity, intercultural dialogue, through the ENACTING Participatory Media Lab.- promote audience development and the use of digital means to create and disseminate cultural products, through the Participatory Media Lab, contributing to the recovery resilience of the CCS.TARGET GROUPSThe ENACTING MOOC and Participatory Media Lab will empower citizens in the focused local communities. They are ultimately targeted to all adults – youth and youth workers, elderly, trainers and educators, artists, migrants and refugees, disadvantaged groups, and all other interested persons. Also, the project targets local authorities, policy makers, grassroots and community organisations, youth clubs/centres, adult education institutions, local CCS, NGOs, social cooperatives and HEIs in arts and digital media education.RESULTSIO1: Identification of local challenges in urban settings. The major aim of the Local Challenges Assessment is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the present particularities, characteristics and social challenges in local urban settings. Besides Local Challenges Assessment, the IO will provide a concrete methodology for the identification of local challenges, that can be transferred and re-used in other contexts.IO2: ENACTING Social Documentary Film Training Course A comprehensive training course comprising a suite of modules and resources- that will support interested adult learners of all backgrounds as well as partners’ teaching and administrative staff to develop their skills in producing social documentary films by capitalizing on the ubiquity of new on-line learning environments and the pervasiveness of mobile devices and open source software.IO3: ENACTING MOOC - a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and a freely accessible Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) containing the training material developed. It also contains a Virtual Community space to support community interactions among learners, professors, and teaching assistants.IO4: ENACTING Participatory Media Lab - a collective virtual place that allows both to give visibility to the productions made by the participants from the different countries and to represent a space for dialogue and exchange.IMPACT- Learners’ acquisition of new skills on Social Documentary development, thus increased capacity of adults in social documentary/artistic production and digital skills- Enhanced awareness of adults on social issues, active citizenship and community engagement, social inclusion, promotion of common values, local innovation through creativity-Increased awareness of society regarding current challenges and increased capacity to suggest solutions and responses. - Increased resilience of cities and communities by engaging citizens in civic and collective actions.- Community development and intercommunity dialogue and exchange: increase social inclusion and cohesion between different groups in the society- Enhanced audience development and use of digital means to create and disseminate cultural products, thus contributing to the recovery resilience of the cultural and creative sectors

However, Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia and Greece share the same need to support the empowerment of their VET providers’ actors in drawing and implementing high quality Work Based Learning schemes.To meet this challenge NEW VET project wanted to:1_Systemise national networking opportunities for VET providers to further become effective lever in supporting VET reforms at their national and EU level.2_Increase the quality of national VET systems giving effective implementation to EU recommendations and tools;3_Raise the awareness on the Work-Based Learning system to make VET a more popular and attractive system.To reach its objectives, NEW VET proposed an empowering approach for VET providers by firstly organising a capacity building programme addressing 5 hot topics strictly connected with the EU VET policy (i.e. EU funding instruments for VET; EU quality standard and tools; multi-actors WBL system at national/regional; innovation in VET for a Green and Digital Europe; digital transformation and microcredentials in VET to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic). Then, partners translated the main lessons learnt from the capacity building into specific multilevel cooperation actions through the elaboration of 6 long term internationalisation strategies for VET providers, the implementation of 5 joint coaching programmes for VET teachers, mentors/tutors and in-company trainers belonging to partners’ networks, and, least but not last, the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding being the very multi-annual cooperation framework of the VET providers new mobility schemes. During the whole project lifetime NEW VET partners worked to spread the attractiveness of the VET system by affectively contribute to the “European Vocational Skills Week” activities of years 2020 and 2022, thus by launching yearly the “Share your Story” digital storytelling national contests and awards, by providing the winners with the opportunity to become NEW VET ambassadors and by organising yearly several national collateral Week’s events.NEW VET managed to create a peer learning community where partners experienced well-established models for VET cooperation practices and worked for new cooperation activities to be implemented within their networks - at national level - and with cross-borders partnerships at the European level. By creating this peer learning community partners not only met the objectives of exchanging experiences at EU level but also had the opportunity to change their perspectives, shaped new visions and opened to new opportunities for the internationalization of their organisations.

It equips artists, community leaders and art educators with key skills and competences for a sustainable creative career and provides them with the opportunity to be successful innovators in their communities. It enhances social inclusion by fostering innovative, arts-based participatory and intercultural dialogue approaches.The project effectively uses the strong experience of all its consortium members in socially engaged arts teaching and content development, e-learning and multimedia, community arts initiatives and career guidance and skills development to design and develop a high-quality adults education course on Innovative Community Development. There is no such existent course in adult learning or other educational organizations in the EU, although the transformative potential of culture has been recognised at EU level and is a priority of the New European Agenda for Culture and the Work Plan for Culture 2019-2022.The learning material that will be developed will offer upskilling to artists, art educators and community leaders in key skills and competencies identified by both project partners needs analysis and prior experience in the field and by the literature. The need for the promotion of digital, entrepreneurial, traditional and specialised skills is also highlighted by the New European Agenda for Culture (economic dimension). The material will represent the learners’ journey from understanding the community →partnership building →budgeting/ fundraising →sustainable art career. 25 learners will be selected in SI, DE, GR and IT (100 in total), based on their portoflios and vision for innovatory change in their communities. The design of the Art is Us learning programme supports a state-of-the-art educational approach that focuses on the needs of the learners. Four microlearning courses will be developed, making the transfer of learning more efficient and more engaging for the learners. Both millennials and adult learners from disadvantaged backgrounds can follow better a training that is customized to their needs, on-demand and informal. In addition, microlearning development can be aesthetically pleasing which is an important bonus for the artistic flair of the target groups. The microlearning programme will be constantly kept updated, encouraging learners’ cocreation and participation in content development. It will be available through the project platform and you tube channel as an open educational material, free for use, reuse, adaptation and sharing by both educators, and (self-) learners in English, Slovenian, Italian, German, Greek, Romanian, Arabic and Farsi. This is expected to increase its impact and exploitation potential, since by design, it will be possible both to be implemented by itself effectively and to be part of a larger eLearning offering, as a micro companion to traditional forms of training.The programme supports blended learning, comprising also practical, on-the-job components, namely, mentorship, peer-learning and workshops. It gives the possibility to learners to materialize their own community development vision, to talk about the Art is Us experience and their work and contribute to its delivery. It also provides the opportunity to the most talented, engaged learners to benefit from a learning visit/ residency to another EU country. The project outputs of are expected to greatly affect the project learners’, partners, involved communities and policymakers. A community-oriented, grassroots approach will be followed in economically depressed areas, encouraging local community members to come together to express concerns or issues through artistic practice that can act as a catalyst to trigger events or changes within a community or at a national or international level. IO1 will provide learners with capacity-building material and guidance on how the learners' community innovation project can be implemented. IO2 will foster cooperation, sharing and exchange for the optimal design and delivery of projects. IO3 implements the projects through Open Innovation Activities that create innovatory change in the communities. The specific format of the innovation activities will depend upon the learners’ vision and ideas. Diversity and vulnerable groups’ / intergenerational participation will be particularly encouraged and fostered. At least 60 ideas (15 per country) are expected to be successfully delivered and make a change in the community.

Clear evidence indicates that LGBTI individuals still face strong healthcare inequalities which results in poor health and have consequences for their well- being. LGBTI people have a significantly higher risk of well-being implications such as depression, anxiety, minority stress and social isolation. A survey from the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) indicated that in 2020 overall more LGBTI people felt discriminated (43%), This percentage was significant lower in 2012 (37%). More specifically, in 2020, 42% of the surveyed LGBTI people answered that they would not be open about their orientation with any healthcare professional. In addition to this, 16% of LGBTI people responded that they had perceived discrimination when in contact with health care or social services (EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)).Reflecting on these data the INSIGHT project will create an innovative Microlearning Programme which will lead HEI Healthcare undergraduate students and current healthcare professionals to greater acknowledgement of LGBTI people’s needs and promote an inclusive healthcare system. It will enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes by diminishing the competency gaps and assumptions regarding the clinical assessment and treatments of LGBTI individuals. The INSGHT project is based on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the Treaty on European Union and on the idea that everybody has the right to feel free and comfortable and have the vital right to entry healthcare services without being afraid to deal with a negative attitude and stigmatization. Next to that, our project is in line with the LGBTI Equality Strategy 2020- 2025 and the European Commission’s intention, which was mentioned in, to set up an equal Union without discrimination and exclusion.<< Objectives >>The project effectively uses the strong experience of all its consortium members in global public health issues, life and health sciences, on LGBTI people's well-being and in designing and delivering innovatory e-learning solutions for educational organizations, to develop a high-quality Microlearning Programme for HEI healthcare undergraduate students and healthcare professionals. The main aim of the INSIGHT project is to promote common values, inclusion, equality and participation through acquiring new competences, skills and guidelines about best practices regarding LGBTI people and their needs when accessing the health sector.Therefore, the project aims to:•Empower awareness, recognition and acceptance of the factors that affect LGBTI people’s well-being and physical health. •Promote and enhance Digital Transformation in HEI by creating a flexible and easily accessible digital learning material. The COVID- 19 crisis and the need of online learning courses showed us how technology can be used in education in an innovative and advantageous way. The project builds on the recommendations of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027).•Establish an equal health care provision for LGBTI people.•Build acceptance and trust between all participants.•Implement the final product within the respective partner countries to stimulate health initiatives and policies that support LGBTI people’s rights and dignity. The INSIGHT project will focus on all needs and quality issues to ensure that all expectation will be met and the main aim of the project which is to tackle discrimination against LGBTI in the health care field, while increasing awareness of society for the rights of LGBTI people in the healthcare services and contributing to their protection by addressing policy gaps through propositions of policy change will be achieved.<< Implementation >>The overarching aim of our project is to promote knowledge, skills and attitudes by diminishing the competency gaps of HEI healthcare undergraduate students and healthcare professionals regarding the clinical assessment, appropriate treatments and communication with LGBTI individuals. This aim will be achieved through the following activities:•Project Management activities and Coordination, to ensure effective management of resources, time and budget and a good communication with the consortium and all the participants. Moreover, 4 Transnational meeting will carry out to support the implementation of the INSIGHT project and build a close and trustful interaction between the partners.•Quality Assurance activities, to regular monitor and evaluate the progress.•A Good Practices guide (PR1) on LGBTI-friendly, inclusive provision of Healthcare services, to foster equality and enhance the protection against health inequalities that LGBTI individuals experience and strengthen the effort to build an equal Union. •The design and development of the INSIGHT Microlearning Programme (PR2), to provide a relevant, targeted and engaging skills development, learning programme that can be sustained after the end of project delivery.•The INSIGHT Massive Open Online Course (PR3), to promote high quality, learner-centred lifelong learning that involves the learner in its development, allows for learner autonomy, is flexible and engaging.•Dissemination activities: Stakeholder Identification, dissemination Plan, INSIGHT project Website, INSIGHT Social Media Channels, dissemination materials, 6 multiplier events and a Final Conference, etc.. Those activities will contribute to the INSIGHT project’s goals and stimulate policy initiatives that empower the health sector in every country to become acceptable and supportive for LGBTI people, but also raise the awareness of all participants and of the public.•Exploitation activities, in order to establish the appropriate actions and ensure that all project’s results stay available and accessible for all interested users, also after the conclusion of the INSIGHT project.<< Results >>The INSIGHT project will give the possibility to HEI healthcare students and current healthcare personnel to fight the dearth of the appropriate knowledge and competences regarding LGBTI Health inequalities, their background, the terminology, their needs and the appropriate treatments. To accomplish that the following project results will be designed and delivered: •PR1: Good Practices Guide: The major aim is to develop of a Good Practices Guide which identifies what kind of support does HEI healthcare undergraduate students and current healthcare professionals need in order to embrace LGBTI people and have a positive impact on their wellbeing. The input of this Guide can be used also as a part of other training courses. •PR2: INSIGHT Microlearning Programme: This learning material will respond to the target group’s needs and willingness to improve the healthcare system and establish innovative initiatives that will lead in more inclusive and equal treatments. The course will include 4 modules that will address the well-being but also the physical health issues that may occur to LGBTI people’s lives. •PR3: INSIGHT MOOC: A freely accessible Virtual Learning Environment containing the learning material, workshops, virtual activities and a community forum which allows interactions and communication.Other expected results of the INSIGHT project such as Newsletters, Press releases and sharing and promotion materials will summarize the content and objectives of the project and ensure the exploitation and sustainability of the project’s goals and expected results. Finally, future partnerships and collaborations will be enhanced.

Βased on Eurostat (2020), 21.8 million non-EU citizens were living in the EU on 1 January 2019, representing 4,9% of the EU-27 population. Based on the same source, third country nationals (TCNs) in the Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, Belgium, and UK, represented 3-6% of the total population. The situation is even more extreme in Turkey, where 3.5 million refugees were hosted in 2017 (WB data).Within this context, the integration of TCNs in their host communities constitutes a significant challenge. Migrants face a greater risk of social exclusion than the native population, especially with respect to accessing employment, education, health and social services. The EU-27 unemployment rate for non-EU citizens was 14.7% in 2019, approximately 8.6 percentage points higher than the average for nationals (Eurostat 2020). Similarly, based on PISA data, students with a migrant background underperform compared to non-migrants, while according to RAND Europe (“Education of EU migrant children in EU Member States”), there is a notable difference between the proportions of early school leavers among EU migrants and non-migrants. According to OECD and IOM (Migration Factsheet No. 6), migrants have been proven particularly vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has made even more challenging their integration process in host countries. Studies indicate that art therapy can improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being of migrants and refugees and promote their social inclusion (Fitzpatrick, 2002; Rousseau et al., 2005; Rousseau & Heusch, 2000). While arts and culture by, for, and with migrants and refugees can promote wellbeing, and dismantle structural barriers to integration, they can have exclusionary potential themselves. In spite of the interest of ethnic groups to attend arts and performance events, structural barriers such as the lack of financial means and languages difficulties, along with a lack of identification with some art forms and contents, can hinder the consumption of arts and culture by migrants and refugees (Le & Fujimoto, 2010). The contribution of arts in the integration process of TCNs is currently underestimated, while such techniques and tools are not mainstreamed in the portfolio of professionals, educators, and volunteers working with TCNs.The purpose of the project is to address the basic need and challenge of promoting the successful integration of TCNs within the EU and cultivate creative expression as means to promote their social inclusion and community cohesion. Implemented in 6 countries (Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, Belgium, UK, and Turkey) the project will involve at least 60 TCNs and 60 educators, professionals and volunteers working with TCN. In-Create will focus on developing and applying pioneer methodologies on various alternative ways of expression, such as Visual Art, literature, theatre, creative writing, film, and photography. This will be achieved through the following activities: -Exploring the role of culture and arts in TCNs’ integration. -Design and implementation of a capacity building programme for professionals on how to utilise arts as a way of creative expression for TCNs.-Implementation of the Creativity Labs where trained professionals and educators will apply in practice the capacity building methodology in their work with TCNs. -5 national Infoday events and an international conference in Brussels. The expected results, envisaged impact, and long-term benefits of the abovementioned activities include: •Development of a comprehensive capacity building methodology, a training programme, and an online platform for professionals on how to utilise arts as a way of creative expression fostering the social inclusion and integration of TCNs.•Increased capacity of at least 60 educators, professionals, and volunteers working with adult TCNs in offering quality supporting to TCNs on how to utilise arts as a way of creative expression. •Enhanced skills and competences on the use of arts as creative expression of at least 60 TCNs in the implementing countries through their participation in the Creativity Labs.•Increased stakeholders’ awareness on the usefulness of arts as an alternative way of promoting integration of TCNs.•Elevated social cohesion levels and increased level of integration of the 60 TCNs in their local communities. •Introduction of an innovative and practical methodology, the Creativity Labs, promoting the sustainable integration of TCNs in their host communities, not only in the 6 implementing countries, but also at EU level.•Enriched portfolio of services and tools available for stakeholders working with TCNs as vehicles for promoting the inclusion of TCNs in the EU.
