Those technologies tackle the interoperability of Transport Service Providers’ (TSPs) services, travel shopping, booking & ticketing, trip tracking, travel companion technologies and business analytics. Various tools have been tested in various locations around Europe retrieved user feedback and improved upon the feedback. Today, IP4 has a large toolset of proven technologies that need to go to the next level; become ready to be implemented in large scale products. IP4MaaS will assist IP4 projects to demonstrate the technologies at an unprecedented level: 6 different locations in Europe including more than 10 transport operators (Public Transport and Mobility-as-a-Service), authorities and agencies. IP4MaaS will develop the scenarios for the demonstrations and a thorough assessment strategy for the demonstrations that tackles both the performance of the demonstrations as well as the impact of the technologies on users and the environment in urban and suburban setups. IP4MaaS will create strategic plans for the demonstrations that will be updated in two iterations leading to two demonstration phases. Furthermore, the project will provide recommendations regarding the promotion and transferability of the technologies to other locations in Europe. IP4MaaS will organise and monitor one of the largest demonstrations of technologies in European project’s history and expects its findings to be used as a baseline for future demonstrations and testing that involves a diverse group of demo partners.

Strategies outlined in the EU Hydrogen Strategy and REPowerEU plan aim to decarbonize the EU and reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels. The shift towards hydrogen requires comprehensive strategies, encompassing investment support, market creation, and global cooperation. HySPARK in Poland accelerates this transition by overcoming technological and non-technological barriers. With a production hub in Włocławek, it aims to produce over 3,000 tons of renewable hydrogen annually, serving various local applications. Six testbed applications will be tested for at least 2 years, gathering operational data to evaluate the techno-economic, societal, and environmental metrics. The testbeds will cover both the transport and the industry sectors and will consist of: (i) the upstream hydrogen production and (ii) the Hydrogen Refuelling stations infrastructure; (iii) 4 semi-trucks for freight road, (iv) 2 buses for the public road, (v) 8 tow tractors for the ground handling transport; (vi) Green Ammonia production. Each testbed application will be fully set up in terms of infrastructure, planning of the associated logistics and the synergetic management of all distributed assets, to demonstrate the practicality and efficiency of H2, also integrated within Warsaw Chopin Airport to contribute to EU's 2050 hydrogen-ready airports objective. Nevertheless, HySPARK will develop the user-friendly and intuitive Energy Planner utilized to refine and optimize the HySPARK supply chain, ensuring its seamless integration into the broader energy ecosystem. In connection with ongoing EU-funded projects (TH2ICINO and SH2AMROCK), HySPARK leverages established networks to improve project deliverables and fosters a community of practice that supports continuous improvement and innovation in hydrogen valley initiatives.

ELIPTIC will advocate electric public transport sector at the political level and help develop political support for the electrification of public transport across Europe. ELIPTIC looks at three thematic pillars: • Safe integration of ebuses into existing electric PT infrastructure through (re)charging ebuses “en route”, upgrading trolleybus networks with battery buses or trolleyhybrids and automatic wiring/de-wiring technology • upgrading and/or regenerating electric public transport systems (flywheel, reversible substations) • Multi-purpose use of electric public transport infrastructure: safe (re)charging of non-public transport vehicles (pedelecs, electric cars/ taxis, utility trucks) With a strong focus on end users, ELIPTIC will analyse 23 use cases within the three thematic pillars. The project will support uptake and exploitation of results by developing guidelines and tools for implementation schemes for upgrading and/or regenerating electric public transport systems. Option generator and decision-making support tools, strategies and policy recommendations will be created to foster Europe-wide take up and rollout of various development schemes. Partners and other cities will benefit from ELIPTIC's stakeholder and user forum approach. ELIPTIC addresses the challenge of “transforming the use of conventionally fuelled vehicles in urban areas” by focusing on increasing the capacity of electric public transport, reducing the need for individual travel in urban areas and by expanding electric intermodal options (e.g. linking e-cars charging to tram infrastructure) for long-distance commuters. The project will strengthen the role of electric public transport, leading to both a significant reduction in fossil fuel consumption and to an improvement in air quality through reduced local emissions.
