"To arrive at our collective European goal which is that every young person should have a practical entrepreneurial experience before they leave school, the consortium will test what the scenario looks like at 50% penetration among students between 15 and 20 years old. The consortium will come up with a suggestion for how practical entrepreneurship education experiences could flow from primary to upper secondary in a 'progression model'.Considering the positive indications from studies and the widespread application of mini-companies today, the consortium will use this method as its test-bed. All the ministerial consortium members have a specific focus on entrepreneurship education in their national strategies. Eastern Norway Research Institute specializes in impact research and policy evaluation while the Foundation for Entrepreneurship-Young Enterprise in Denmark and Strossmayer University Croatia are both knowledge centres on entrepreneurial learning which conduct research as well as activity. JA-YE Europe and the national NGO participants are expert practitioners in delivery and brokering partnerships with the community outside schools.Entrepreneurship education was given top billing in the Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan released in January 2013: ""Investing in entrepreneurship education is one of the highest return investments Europe can make...Whether or not they go on to found businesses or social enterprises, young people who benefit from entrepreneurial learning develop business knowledge and essential skills and attitudes including creativity, initiative, tenacity, teamwork, understanding of risk and a sense of responsibility.""The more practical the entrepreneurial experience at school, the more successful it is in meeting these objectives. Mini- companies are cited as highly effective practical entrepreneurial experiences for schools. The highest levels of mini-company penetration (20%) are in the Nordic countries. Thanks to research conducted in Sweden, Norway and Denmark there are many positive indications on the successful achievement of learning outcomes, increased student engagement, self-efficacy, the intent to start a business and longer-term outcomes such as enhanced employability, better earnings, higher start-up rates. The evaluation and research will use multiple methodologies (interviews, surveys, analysis of existing policies/approaches, focus groups, comparative control group methods). The consortium is seeking knowledge about implementation models, hindrances and drivers, criteria and conditions for effective policy and monitoring, transferability, and data regarding multiple outcomes of practical entrepreneurial experiences at school.Several success factors will be examined: the existence of specific national strategies, the nature of content and method, approach to teacher training, quality of partnerships with external actors, extra-curricular activity and visibility for the young participants."

GeNEdu project aims to renew nursing curricula through building capacities of the Chinese HEIs to develop gerontological nursing education for future health care professionals to meet the needs of the ageing society in China. GeNEdu Consortium consists of three European HEIs (JAMK, FI; Hanze, NL; THCC, EE) and three Chinese HEIs: Beihua University (BH), Guangdong Medical University (GDMU) and Guanzhou Health Science College (GHSC). The common needs for the Chinese HEIs are as follows: 1) Developing core competences for gerontological nursing based on EU standards, 2) Integration of evidence and competence based approach to nursing curricula, 3) Integration of the contents of healthy and successful ageing (Healthy China 2030 Plan) to nursing curricula, 4) Enhancing digital skills, communication, multicultural and internationalisation skills in nursing curricula, 5) Integration of e-pedagogy in nursing theory and practical training, 6) Integration of multidisciplinary gerontology in different health care settings, 7) Strengthening EU-China cooperation as per HEIs’ strategies. Activities include identifying core competences; organising train-the-trainers workshops with mentoring approach; co-creating Living Labs, e-learning course and practical training trials, and developing competence-based curricula. The main results of the project are a) a verified Competence Framework describing the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed in gerontological nursing, b) Handbook on Gerontological Nursing Education in Chinese HEIs, c) built Living Labs, and d) accredited 30 ECTS Credit Modules in gerontological nursing integrated to nursing curricula of Chinese HEIs. The project moves the approach of gerontological nursing in China from the care for older people towards care with older people for successful aging. Also the focus in education shifts from the traditional, theory-based and teacher-centered pedagogy towards practice oriented, student-centered learning.

As one of the first in a series of projects foreseen under GN5-FPA, GN5-1 aims to provide faster, more resilient and secure connectivity infrastructure and collaboration services to enable researchers and students’ access to applications that support evidence-based and effective collaboration across virtual research teams, worldwide. GN5-1 will continue the development of state-of-the art, cost-effective, secure and resilient connectivity to provide unconstrained capacity ahead of demand in the backbone network and NREN access in multiples of 100Gbps, delivering Terabit connectivity where needed. GN5-1 will prototype, pilot and, where appropriate, procure new online above-the-net services and deliver pervasive, innovative and distributed trust and identity infrastructure and services to achieve strategic positioning of T&I services as a key enabler of research and education collaboration within Europe. Trusted access to data sources and services, and authentication and authorisation Infrastructure services, such as eIDAS will also be included. The project will address Horizon Europe’s priorities in areas such as data security and access control, innovation and DNSH, and will expand NRENs' users beyond traditional scientific and research communities, enabling networking and access to the common European data spaces. GN5-1 will ensure access for researchers and students to the valued services required for Open Science, it will disseminate learning and training, and build community as well as align with EU policies and ongoing participation with standardisation bodies. GN5-1 can offer its distinctive services due to its human network of professionals, in a consortium with a deep understanding of evolving user requirements. Within this community, knowledge and experience is shared between partners to constantly enhance the quality of the services offered, making it an indispensable element of the ERA.
