"The social fabric of all the Sicilian Provinces, and that of Palermo in particular, is characterized by a strong presence of young artists (songwriters, performers, soloists) youth musical groups, many of non-EU origin, belonging to the various communities present in the city territory .In most cases, however, there is a lack of spaces, services and networks capable of promoting young talents, of offering them job opportunities that allow them to make their profession a job. This situation is even more aggravated for children who live in areas at risk, who have integration difficulties and who, more generally, for difficult economic situations do not have easy access to the world of music; having difficulties even just to buy an instrument, to follow the training proposals and to share their artistic experience with their peers. Added to this is theextreme difficulty of having adequate spaces in which to play, the difficulty, exacerbated by the geographical distance, of coming into contact with the national and European record circuit. And local policies in this regard have never shown particular sensitivity. Few, and ineffective, regulatory interventions or actions that in the Sicilian area have looked beyondthe short term and which tried to solve the problem structurally in the medium or long term.The general purpose of the ""Change Music in Europe"" proposal is to enhance the creative energies of the young artists of the Palermo area, investing in them as a fundamental resource of the local community, with the aim of promoting their talent, promoting their associationism and protagonism, building shared proposals through the activation of a structureddialogue with political decision-makers that can bring the proposals born within the project also in the European context, where similar situations exist.Starting from these premises, ""Change the Music in Europe"" provides for the creation of a 3-day Forum in which 90 young musicians, authors and performers from different Municipalities of the Province of Palermo will confront with representatives of the institutions that deal with youth and cultural policies with the intent, through a structured and shareddialogue, to arrive at some operational proposals that aim to improve the conditions of the musicians and to encourage in their favor opportunities for promotion and access to the music market, first locally and then as good practice in a national and European perspective.Through the implementation of the Project, the active involvement of 90 young people from all the Municipalities of the Province of Palermo is expected. of 10 policy makers"

The project Young Ideas is a national meeting that wants to collect the ideas of young Sicilians to improve the youth policy of their local contexts . It foresees the involvement of 70 young people and 30 local administrators / decisor makers to be confronted through the methodology of the question time and the method with which Philips identify the objectives, priorities and activities of a possible plan local youth that today municipalities are lacking . Young people will be identified through a competition of ideas that will be promoted through a campaign of dissemination and meetings in local communities belonging to the Union of Councils .The results of the seminar will be presented in a final moment with the presence of policy-makers at regional and national level .Goal is to begin a debate between young people and their local administrators in order to program a concerted interventions for youth.

"Strengthening life skills to achieve a higher level of well-being is one of the fundamental elements for achieving better results in the professional field, but also personal especially for those who spend their profession helping others and making the relationship the cornerstone of their intervention. As part of the project FOCUS - FOstering the Capability of social workers delivering edUcation on life Skills we have chosen to turn to social sector operators and in particular to social workers, educators, community leaders, psychologists, staff all employed in the centeres managed by the organization partner, with the possibility of extending the target group to all educational agencies . For this purpose, FOCUS has provided for the implementation of an innovative model for the training of LIFE SKILLS and emotional Intelligence, based on the results of the needs analysis made on the target group. Thanks to this project, it was intended to equip operators in the third sector and in particular those who work in the three partner organizations of the project, with the skills to face the working context in a more functional way and by making sure transfer their acquired skills to guest users in order to promote a real change in the attitude with which they face daily challenges.The project involved 3 European countries, Italy, Portugal and Romania with associations that have diversified experience in the third sector, thanks to which we were able to achieve the realization of the three intellectual outputs. Those are Cooperativa 3P from Palermo, AMS from Palermo, Desinccop from Guimaraes, Filantropia from Bucharest. Specifically, we carried out a ""Literature review of scientific findings on the impact of life skills in social workers in daily work and in field of learning needs""; Guidelines for managing training sessions on life skills addressed to social workers; Interactive online platform for the exchange of methods and interventions between social operators who have implemented the FOCUS model in order to be transferred also to those who want to approach it.At the same time there were three transnational meetings, one for each partner country that allowed to agree on shared tools and strategies for the implementation of the individual activities and three multiplier events, also one for each country, for the dissemination of the results.Transversal to all this were the activities of management and monitoring of the activities but also a dissemination and communication plan that guaranteed good media coverage able to correctly reach the beneficiary and interested parties from other countries, and not directly involved in the project. A website with an attached online platform has been activated at www.project-focus.eu, a Facebook page and an Instagram profile, a mailing list for sending newsletters. For each event, each partner organization has disseminated it through its channels, websites and social media where present."

"<< Background >>A project on emotional intelligence, aimed at strengthening the use of socio-relational skills of youth workers in public and private organizations. In the European context, many projects are currently aimed at socio-emotional education, especially in the school environment, as a shared awareness that it is an important element of subjective well-being.The benefits of using a relational approach are well known, thanks to multiple scientific researches in the context of school teaching, but for some time a lot of attention has also been paid to complex Organizations and Institutions and the workplace.As a particular choose this project is destined to the ones working with young, disadvantaged, vulnerable, unoccupied and with socio-emotional needs young people. Those youth workers, in the ONG or not for profit Associations, will learn and acquire emotional skills as tools to cope with their targets. It addresses to 1) youth workers from private organizations engaged in working with young to make counseling and career counseling, to help them to become resilient, so to plan their future, face their work or personal problems, find solutions for their difficult choices in the long run. 2) young people, vulnerable, unemployed, neet or low skilled wanting to improve their skills starting from emotional attitude to cope with their situation.The main intellectual outputs will allow the development of operational tools, available on a large scale and usable on a number of levels, both by a large audience of youth workers and by a sample of young people as well. The model, through a comparative research, and the creation of suitable tools will find inspiration for validation and diffusion in the European panorama, with the aim of spreading the concrete practice of socio-emotional practice and to disseminate it among youth workers and young people too.Actions foreseen:- comparative research on the condition of use and knowledge in the ONGs of Emotional Intelligence in the European Context of the partners represented- creation of a preliminary investigation tool (balance of skills) with initial, ongoing and final self-assessment value- creation of tools for youth workers to acquire and use the emotional Intelligence and the basic emotional skills (resilience, empathy, self-efficacy, self-esteem, communication…)- creation of learning paths to be destined to young people in disadvantage conditions (unemployment, social disease…)- events of dissemination, promotion and comparison studies<< Objectives >>Our project intends to improve the skills of youth workers to become activators and facilitators of youth resilience, emotional intelligence and social-relational competences, with particular regard to young people at risk of social exclusion and discomfort. It is the shared opinion of this partnership that, although current literature and contemporary society often agree on the representation of youth discomfort, very little is then supported in terms of concrete actions to combat this discomfort, starting from the construction of those tools that young people need to cope with everyday life and planning for the future.For this reason, focusing on Emotional Intelligence and Resilience as a specific feature is a choice dictated by the context analysis of the four partner countries, which confirms that our young people (18-30) in conditions of hardship (work, training, personal situation) often lack the basic life skills needed to face life's challenges and situations of stress, difficulty and emergency, starting with an adequate emotional endowment. This need has been amplified by the health emergency that everyone has experienced. The project wants to test the theory and method on young people starting from the self-assessment dimension and the training tools to create skills that are professional and expendable in the professional practice of youth workers, but that are also diffused among the youth population, as a basis for building critical and active consciences. The aim of our project is to develop an intervention model to increase youth resilience through programmes based on emotional intelligence training. Other objectives to be achieved are - To improve the professional skills in the socio-emotional and relational field of the YWs of the associations of the partner countries - To influence the training programs of youth workers and the programming and intervention schemes in favour of youth, intervening however in the field of social policies through the dissemination of good practices and the comparison of different approaches, based on emotional intelligence - To create a shared European system, a model of application and testing of socio-emotional skills in the youth field.<< Implementation >>The whole project is focused on the training of competences and soft skills in the social-emotional field. Therefore, the main objectives are related to the improvement of the condition of youth workers and young people, in terms of providing them with emotional and life skills to face moments of difficulty, emergency and discomfort. The actions foreseen are all focused on the better success of the main objective, i.e. to foster not only the knowledge, but above all the application of emotional intelligence.The activities are aimed at increasing the supply of knowledge, information and above all practical skills (emotional life skills) that can ""assist"" youth workers in their work with young people.listening, empathy, understanding. This action is substantiated in the work foreseen in the second intellectual work (result 2), which will then be completed and verified through a path of experimentation of the model for YW (result 3) and short training (C1) where youth workers will be able to confront and experiment themselves in a learning process based on orientation and life coaching (C1) and propose new counselling models, intervention projects based on our model. "The Y2Y project, promoted by three Unions of Municipalities from three different EU countries and by an expert association in youth policies, has developed an operating model for strengthening youth entrepreneurship actions in rural and disadvantaged areas in Italy (Sicily), Bulgaria (Black Sea) and Spain (Andalusia). The project was aimed primarily at the youth population and more specifically at unemployed young people and outside the context of education and training (NEET), as well as youth workers of the Municipalities, or officials and operators of the Municipalities who are involved in various capacities from youth policies.The project created an operating model that follows the B2B model, inspired by the exchange and comparison between subjects operating on the same product. In this case, the exchange does not take place at the level of the Business, but at the level of the subjects concerned, or between young people, or young people and youth workers, in a constructive dialogue process based on the subject and personal variables, in this case the main life skills.The Y2Y model is a model that supports the individual resources of young people, especially creativity, resourcefulness, the capacity for self-realization, but also for ""self marketing"". If on the one hand it is true that young people are given the opportunity to highlight their ideas, on the other it is also true that what young people try to value is their ability to be in the European network and to propose and invent ideas .14 young Europeans were offered a blended training model based on humanistic coaching and life skills and 18 youth workers a training course based on humanistic coaching. Through a service platform young people have promoted their entrepreneurial ideas and youth workers have supported the models proposed by the boys by supporting their communication and promotional choices.The Y2Y model is made available through an interactive platform which, in addition to welcoming innovative ideas and promoting them in the European network, offers the opportunity to take advantage of the contents of the training (webinars and short lessons), and the toolkits developed for use by the final target and all those who want to know and share the strategies tested."
