The Euro Barometer of the European Commission, published on August 2, 2017, shows that terrorism is now at the top of the list of issues that European citizens have identified as one of the challenges currently facing the EU. We believe that the prevention of radicalization should not be just a policy conceived and operated by the state. In fact, it must be an association between the state, local authorities and civil society. Its success is based on the mobilization of everyone. We are convinced that the radicalization of young people is a serious problem that must not only be expressed in terms of security, but we must also think about solutions that are above all economic, social and cultural. As a cultural solution we discovered that the use of European tools dedicated to young people, such as our youth exchange project within the framework of the Erasmus + program, will allow us to use artistic education and non-education as a tool to prevent radicalization. Use new innovative methods and provide young people with information about European values and fundamental rights. In this context, with our partners we decided to establish a youth exchange ""Youth versus radicalization"" that will bring together 42 young people from 07 different countries (Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland, Tunisia and Jordan) to be held in Benicàssim (Castellón) and who will address the issue of radicalization through artistic supports such as theater, film, painting, music, etc. Our youth exchange aims to: - Sensitize radicalization and create a learning space through non-formal education, a space for open exchange, mixed cultures and different environments for young people through innovative and creative tools. - The use of artistic education and non-formal education and the exchange of good practices as a tool to prevent radicalization. - Create an international platform for organizations to share their experiences and the use of art as a tool to fight and prevent radicalization. - To better understand the opportunities of the Erasmus + program and non-formal education to promote European values of tolerance, understanding and respect for human rights. This youth exchange is designed and dedicated to young people interested in the prevention of radicalization, in an artistic approach, offering them the opportunity to exchange ideas and points of view, work together and express themselves through art. During 7 working days, participants will face different challenges, meet new people with different backgrounds, sharing and developing new skills. The participants will do many activities such as games, role plays, simulation, visits, debates, workshops on artistic creativity, excursions, evaluation and self-evaluation. They will experiment in non-formal education methods and discuss with the facilitator the improvement of their knowledge and skills0"

As well, after the project activities we did implement project dissemination activities in all the communities that are involved in the project, for the dissemination we have used materials that was made during the project, such as promotional videos, blog and photos. Our target group was 18-30 years old young people from 4 European and Arabic countries that have various cultural, economic, educational and social differences. They were coming from both rural and urban areas, and their knowledge about the topic of the project was different, some of the participants where more aware of the topic, and some were less, which also is connected to the participants experience in such projects, for some participants it was first time going for Erasmus+ project, which bring great outcome to our project. From the cultural point of view, we had youngsters from different cultures, as some of the participants were coming from families of cultural minorities. Educationally speaking, some of these youngsters were still in high school or university, some was already graduated. From the economic perspective, some of them are employed and some of them are unemployed, with economic difficulties. From the social point of view, we had youngsters coming from various social background, orphans from broken families, but the main emphasis was towards the unemployed ones and with cultural minorities.<< Results >>By implementing this project, we did achieve strong impact on the young people, the participants gained a lot of new skills and knowledge through non-formal education, about healthy habits and active lifestyle. We also did raise awareness among the local community about their behavior and importance of their health care. During the activity days, we made the program that participants increased not only skills & knowledge, but self-confidence and motivation, and it gave them the boost to do some changes in their communities by back home. The impact on participants by implementing this mobility were: we achieved to create new bonds by getting to learn a new culture, which is very different from the European cultures, as well it is connected to the increase the tolerance towards different cultures, raised awareness on the issue of poor health care and not active lifestyle, have been working in intercultural teams that have a common goal, developed sense of initiative, learned to be more open-minded, improved language skills and did learn new ways of learning. The impact on community level done by this project is that by some activities such as outdoor activities in the public areas, made a blog about the project, promotional videos, we achieved that some people changed their behavior according to the not active lifestyle and care for health step by step and became more aware about the issue. By the communication with the participants of the project, community got new knowledge about the situation in different European countries and had opportunity to make the conclusion on their behavior according to the sedentary lifestyle and ability to include daily movements in the daily routine. The impact on organizations is also quite impressive, we had chance to cooperate between each other, which is not very usual thing in Erasmus+ yet, to have projects not only with EU countries, but also with partner countries such as Jordan, developed our compromising skills, got extensive experience in organizing, leading, presenting a uniting a team and developed leadership skills to be in being NGO’s who work around the same topic, as well increased our ability to communicate on long term, as project was postponed due the COVID crisis. In addition, we increased understanding of budgeting and finance, which also connected to the crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and high inflation, as well we enrich enhancing our visibility enormously and created new bonds with new people. By this project we did increase not only European cooperation, but also with the partner countries. Not only between the partner organizations, but also between different stakeholders working on the education of young people, and involvement in active lifestyle activities in Europe and locally. We did involve diverse NGOs (Ready for action, CPIDIS, AHA youth center, etc.), institutions (University of Latvia, Vatra Dornei High school, etc.) and individuals. As the result of the project, we developed new competences among young people who take part in the project, such as digital competences while preparing videos, learning to learn, while preparing to organize their workshops, as well during the project we have created 6 promotional videos, 1 blog and we also have performed local actions in local communities of the partners of the project."

Research studies have further connected the role of sports with the establishment and adherence to positive adult role models, in return diminishing acute risk factors related to crime and extremism. In other words, the advocacy and implementation of sports initiatives could lay the groundwork for prevention of youth radicalization campaigns, especially when combined with other social initiatives, such as media literacy classes, vocational trainings, integration courses, etc. Therefore, this project plans on addressing the current threat of youth radicalization with violent extremist believes, through promoting sport as a tool for increasing and reinforcing positive social thinking and behaviour. The aim of the project is the cross-cultural cooperation and exchange of best practices between young individuals (main target group) - through the implementation of sport initiatives and tools necessary to effectively tackle the indoctrination of young people and promote acceptance of diversity in society.<< Implementation >>The Youth Exchange is dedicated to young people between 18 and 25, whether they are students, volunteers, young workers or interested in how sport can be used as tool to prevent radicalization. 6 different nationalities ( Hungary, Turkey, Jordan, Spain, The Republic of North Macedonia) will be involved and each country will involve participants with following fewer opportunities: migrants/refugees, stigmatized and marginalized youth, participants who are facing cultural challenges and participants with economic and social obstacles.we will set up activities, based on non-formal education, with the intention to improve the participants’ self-esteem, self-confidence, language skills and knowledge in this topic. The activities will be workshops, sessions, debates, teamwork in small and bigger groups, roleplay and physical activities such as energizers and football, among othersWe invited participants with following fewer opportunities: migrants/refugees, stigmatized and marginalized youth, participants who are facing cultural challenges and participants with economic and social obstacles<< Results >>The aim with the topic of the activity is to give the participants tools they can use to prevent radicalization in their local communities. More specifically, how sport can help preventing radicalization.Judging on how extensive and global the radicalization phenomenon is, the successful implementation of the project would undeniably have a significant impact on various societal levels. The skills and knowledge the participants and their organisations accumulate throughout this youth exchange would be applied in a wide-ranging manner within their respective countries of origin. The individuals will experience the positive impact of being acquainted with potentially unfamiliar until then information and knowledge. They will acquire an understanding about concepts and theories related to extremist indoctrination and radicalisation and learn effective strategies of preventing such manifestations of radical views to take place through interactive activities and sport initiatives.

It aims to develop tools and resources to prevent radicalization and fight hate speech in media.MCTAR is thought to be a project to develop further different methodologies and approaches in youth work as a way to prevent and identify radicalization processes amongst youngsters. On the other hand, the project aims to foster youth's understanding of current topics and foster their critical thinking as a way to become mindful citizens who are able to discern hate speech and negative messages in media and online. The project is divided into two main phases. The first one is devoted to providing youth workers with tools and resources in order to identify risky behaviors and patterns in youngsters that could lead to radicalization. The second phase objective is to engage youth in critical thinking and debate over different topics spinning around the concept of intercultural dialogue and tolerance. On the other hand, youth will get the opportunity to get an insight into creative processes such as photography and videomaking as an alternative way to express themselves and oppose hate speech messages. By sharing these experiences with youth from different countries and cultural backgrounds, youngsters get the chance to share diverse perspectives and learn from each other. In addition, they engaged in the production of several short Vidos that will be presented at a local festival in Nabeul. Throughout the project, several intellectual outputs are to be produced, highlighting, an anti-radicalization toolkit, a field research report on the four communities, OER’s related to the project content and training sessions, photography and videos made during the youth exchanges, and several short films co-produced by the youngsters. All the learning outcomes is available through our website under a creative commons license for free use.The main goals achieved can be divided into three points: 1. Raising awareness about radicalization and hate speech in media. 2. Developing tailored methods for youth workers to address the prevention of radicalization and provide them with tools and resources adapted to each specific context.3. Foster critical thinking amongst youngsters provided them with skills and creative tools as a way to develop counter-narratives.With MCTAR we aimed to provide tools for change, a different approach to youth work, focused on the prevention and identification of youth radicalization processes by promoting the intercultural dialogue and the creation of alternative messages through media tools. MCTAR is a project to overcome mental walls and build up new narratives in contraposition to hate speech.

The European Commission's Eurobarometer, published on 2 August 2017, has shown that terrorism is now at the top of the list of problems that European citizens have identified as one of the challenges currently facing the EU (44% since 2016). On the other hand, the European Commission set up the Commission's Expert Group on Radicalization (HLCEG-R) in September 2017. The latter published a report on June 13, 2018, notably on the improvement of cooperation mechanisms between Member States and practitioners, and on the means necessary for a better circulation of knowledge in terms of understanding the process of radicalization. The final report consists of two parts. The first part identifies a number of recommendations in the areas of anti-propaganda, the fight against ideology and polarization of society, cooperation of prevention actors at the local level, measures in terms of education and social reintegration. And the second part describes the structures to be put in place to improve the system, such as the setting up of a Steering Board which will propose strategic priorities (orientations and actions) to the Commission in the field of prevention of radicalization. Also the setting up of a coordination structure ""Task force"" that will support and coordinate the action of the Commission in the prevention of radicalization. Particularly affected, France lived under the regime of the state of emergency, this exceptional regime adopted the evening of the attacks of November 13 led successive governments to extend it several times and remained in force 719 days, he said. officially ended on Wednesday, November 1st. In the context of the fight against terrorism, it has enabled the Ministry of the Interior to transfer powers reserved to the judicial authority. Certain special provisions allowed by this exceptional regime will nevertheless remain in force; they were transposed into common law by the bill strengthening the internal security and fight against terrorism adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, by 244 votes for and 22 against. In this context we have wanted with our partners to set up a youth exchange that brought together 44 young people, volunteers, young leaders and facilitators from 8 different countries (France, Poland, Italy, Latvia, Spain, Tunisia, and Jordan). And which took place in Tunisia on the theme of radicalization through artistic supports such as theater, cinema, painting, music, graphic express, etc. Our youth exchange were one of the cultural solutions and the use of European tools dedicated to youth under the Erasmus + program and which allowed us the use of arts education and non-formal education as a prevention tool to radicalization. Using innovative new methods and providing young people with information on European values and fundamental rights. Our youth exchange had the following objectives: - Raising awareness about radicalization and creating a learning space through non-formal education, an open sharing space, mixed cultures and different environments for young people through innovative and creative tools. - The use of arts education and non-formal education and the sharing of good practices as a prevention tool and fight against radicalization. - Create an international platform for organizations to share their experiences and the use of art as a tool for fighting and preventing radicalization. - Better understand the opportunities of the Erasmus + program and non-formal education to promote European values of tolerance, understanding and respect for human rights. Our project provided very valuable learning experiences for young people, and bring them to a unique experience, providing them with tools and inputs that could help them be more aware of themselves, their skills. During the 07 days, the participants of our exchange were leaded to do so many activities such as games, role plays, simulation, visits, debates, artistic creativity workshops, field trips, evaluation and self-evaluation. They were experimented with the lease of non-formal education methods and discussed with the facilitator the improvement of their knowledge and skills. Explored a sensitive subject such as radicalization through several methods such as self-discovery, methods of integration, methods of creativity, and individual experiences."
