As technology gets better and better intertwined with even the most insignificant aspects of our daily lives, our understanding of it doesn’t keep up at the same pace. We oftentimes find ourselves not qualified enough to decide, which way is it that the new technology will impact our daily lives, and just how much ground we are willing to give up. With workplaces, our personal information, media and even governments moving from ink to bytes, playing field has been changing constantly, leaving some of us behind. In July of 2018, 30 people, both those technologically savvy and those not related to technology in any significant way, will be working on topics like e-government, critical perception of online media, limiting access to one’s own personal data and innovation in the technology area, as well as decreasing dependency on technology for most basic personal activities. Through simulations, groupwork, practical tasksand reflective practices we plan to develop better understanding of changes happening in our world due to technological advancements, as well as understand how to make our own changes to make sure that the direction we’re moving in remains overall favorable to society.

"LTTC ""United through education"" was a training based on the development / creation among youth workers: awareness of a concept of culture and its dimensions, approaches used in non-formal education, problem / conflict solutions in an intercultural context and development of competence in facilitating the learning process (facilitation) activity based on a methodology taken from non-formal education. During the project participants worked on their skills to facillitate the group and the leraning process. The project was an international training of youth workers, leaders of intercultural facilitation organizations, involving 24 youth workers (3 experienced trainers) from Slovakia, Spain, Malta, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland. All participants during the project provided also workshops in their countries. Participants created workshop outlines, promoted Erasmus+ programme and non-formal education. The long-term project involved three phases: - Mobility of youth workers - training in the context of the facilitation of intercultural groups. It helped us to understand the specificity and importance of culture, its directions, its approach and the complexity of the intercultural environment (as well as its challenges: misunderstandings, conflicts, ""false debates"", tensions). Second, provided participants with the tools they need to work on the issue, through in-depth understanding of the logic of non-formal education, the importance of group dynamics, the diversity of leadership approaches, the exploration of mediation attitudes in intercultural work. - A local phase - in which staff tested and adapted the created methods to excluded youth groups, intercultural communities with whom they work every day. - Mobility, in the context of work on re-evaluation of local action and the quality of methods used in the context of international projects and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. We achived the goals during the project: -Creating a portfolio with a record of new, innovative methods useful for intercultural learning, facilitacion and social inclusion -Reaching the awareness of youth workers about the specificity and complexity of the facilitation process during intercultural meetings and training -Strengthening the competences of youth workers in the context of planning and implementation of effective educational activities at the international level -Expression of various dimensions of culture and how they are connected with intercultural learning -Testing and quality evaluation of developed tools on various groups of excluded youth -Creation of a portfolio with a set of training methods and tools in an intercultural environment, with particular emphasis on including discriminated groups"

<< Objectives >>This is a training course responding to the issue of violence against females and exploring ways that we can develop skills to be active bystanders in our daily life. We aim to equip youth workers, youth theater leaders and artists who are involved in their local communities with a skill set for expressing, communicating and guiding young people around the issues raised by violence against females. We want to empower young leaders in being active citizens and act in solidarity within their local communities and equip them with the means to develop these skills through non-formal learning models, specifically drama based practices. With these skills developed, we believe they can go back to their local groups and settings and implement the learnings from this experience into their work. Providing young leaders with this space of exploring, practicing and sharing their experience they can have the tools to challenge the individuals to gain compassion, empathy and understanding, produce response systems and confidence, while empowering them towards pursuing the changes they want to see in their communities across Europe. Participants will be working in groups of mixed nationalities, they will have the opportunity to share their concerns and experiences and develop a set of skills that we believe would be beneficial towards creating a dynamic community that will be based on solidarity, engagement, creativity and empowerment. They will be able to connect with young leaders from around Europe and through this shared experience, navigate themselves and the young people in their communities and spaces through being active young women and men, citizens of Europe.OBJECTIVESThis particular training program proposes to bring them together to share experiences and methods of dealing with this type of social issues through their youth work. We aim to mix young adults(ages 19 to 25 years old) so that each individual learns from the others. We also aim to mix different cultures and nationalities so that each can have a broader understanding on how violence against women has developed that each can learn new facilitation techniques practiced in the other’s country. The participants will then bring their learning to their own groups and implement it at home in each country and how it is being tackled , if so, plus how each culture approaches the issue.<< Implementation >>The primary activity will be a five day training course. Each partner organization will send four participants. They will be youth workers, youth theatre leaders and artists involved in their communities. After the training course, we will follow up with a zoom gathering in September . Participants, leaders and partner organizations will be able to reflect on their time in Ireland, talk about upcoming projects and how they implemented the learnings from the TC into their practice, whether it is a youth theatre or a performance.<< Results >>We expect that this project will increase participants' skills and abilities, specifically on the way they could address the theme of violence against women and implement them in supporting their communities. They should, improve their confidence in working with young teens and these types of social matters. We expect that the participants will put their learning into practice when they go home.We anticipate that participants will gain sufficient confidence to be able to promote their work to authorities and communities in general either within or outside their local space . This could be in the form of offering extra-curricular drama workshops to schools or offering themed workshops to youth clubs. The organizations will benefit by having a small panel of young facilitators whom they can employ and support in working with their young groups to create projects regarding current social issues.Through drama practices these leaders can exude support and empowerment and become allies of their young groups , while also being great role models for them. The project fosters young people’s sense of European citizenship and helps them to understand their role as part of the present and future of the EU 's cultural and social sector.
