TOURing, aims at establishing and sharing a common model for skills in Tourism sector in the EU in order to address the skills mismatches and “invest” for the future developments. We are going to establish an effective mechanism where partnering VET Institutions and Tourism Businesses are going to engage mutual learning, peer counselling, and capacity building, aimed at raising the quality and attractiveness of VET provision and a European, National, Regional and Local Level. TOURing, is the answer towards bridging the gap between the market needs in terms of skills and competences in the Tourism Sector, and the ability of the VET to provide more tailored Curricula and Up-Skilling opportunities that would create balance in the booming tourism sector.Based on the above our main goals are:• To support Tourism Stakeholders to respond immediately to the fast changing and increasing skills gaps in digital and green skills sets;• To contribute to the Knowledge Hub of Pact for Skills by providing updated and state-of-the-art curricula addressing the need for digital and green skills in tourism sector;• To create the ground for partnerships and cooperation structures between VET/Education Providers and Labour Market Representatives in Tourism Sector;• To raise the awareness of VET systems and Tourism Industry in digital and green transitions in tourism;• To increase the quality of the VET Curricula related to Tourism which nowadays goes hand in hand with digital technologies and environmental sustainability;

CONTEXTThe strong rights framework enjoyed within the EU, unfortunately implies that the process of settling in is easier for those holding an EU citizenship than for Third-Country Nationals (TCNs). The reality is frequently different; for TCNs, the rights they have been accorded can be difficult to enforce in practice. In addition, TCNs have many integration needs while access to fundamental information and services is sometimes limited at a Local or Regional level, despite the effort provided so far. Orientation information concerning life in their new countries is hard to be accessed, since a bridge among Local societies (expressed through Local Administration) is not been established. But integration is also about community and society, and there is a need to ensure the ready availability of public services for all residents in a particular town or city, and the cohesiveness of increasingly diverse communities. To date, the integration of TCNs as a specific target group has not been widely discussed, either at EU or national levels.Within this reality, the Digi-Path project establishes the principle of a two-way process, to foster the successful inclusion and participation of TCNs and their family members in the host EU country's civic and social life and their access to the same information / and employment opportunities of the nationals.OBJECTIVESDigi-Path has a primary objective to foster the successful inclusion and participation of TCNs and their family members in the host EU country's civic and social life providing equal access to information and services that will increase their well-being in the hosting societies. This is going to be achieved through supplementary objectives that include: - Increase of capacity of the Public Administration Authorities & Experts in local level in the participating countries to enable and facilitate the access of TCNs to a number of civic and other services (access to the labour market and relevant rights, professional guidance, family planning, available benefits, social insurance, registry etc) in the host countries; - Improve of the availability, awareness and participation of TCNs in civic activities in their host communities;NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS - At least 20 National, Regional and Local Public Administration Proffesionals - At least 50 Third Country Nationals (TCNs) are going to be included in the Digi-Path activities - At least 250 local / hosting society members are goign to participate in the Multiplier Activities - At least 100 stakeholders reached out and be infrormed about the outcomes of the Digi-Path Project ACTIVITIES - Implementation of 4 IOs, that are going to result to the production of 1 interactive on-line game, to facilitate upskilling of TCNs and increase their social integration level in the hosting societies - Design of OER for the upskilling of Public Administration Professionals, to enhance their service provision level towards TCNs when interacting with them - Joint Staff Training for selected Public Admin Staff and Adult Educators in the effective use of the Project outcomes to facilitate upskilling of TCNs and their integration in the hosting societies - Multiplier events to engage TCNs, Public Admin Staff and STakeholders, including members of the hosting societies, targeting in their active involvement in the social integration of TCN activities. RESULTS - Direct involvement of Third Country Nationals in the Local Activities with access to all the services that are also targeting TCNs, emphasising on educational and social activities, including those for unrepresented groups such as women and young people; - Improved knowledge on the cultural, political, social, financial and religious issues in the area of living; - Improved basic skills, including the use of digital skills for accessing local/regional administrative services;IMPACT o Improved acceptance of TCN into activities organized and implemented at a local level; o Acceptance, tolerance, cooperation and other virtues will be cultivated in hosting societies, so that they will embrace TCN in their daily life and enhance their participation in civic activities in their host societies, such as volunteering groups and local decision-making bodies, including school boards and community organisations;LONG-TERM BENEFITSThe Digi-Path project in the long term will boost local governance through the active participation of TCNs in local societies. Active integration of TCNs into local societies results to a new, productive learning process, where the first are going to become active members of the second, increasing social welfare, strengthening security at local level and enhancing responsibility sharing at local level.

<< Background >>CONTEXT/BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECTGlobally, construction accounts for 11-13% of global GDP. One of the main objectives of Construction 2020 EU Strategy refers to the improvement of the human capital basis in order to boost both the performance of companies and the EU competitiveness in this sector. Boosting new competences of the sector’s workforce is a key aim of BUILD UP Skills initiative with specific attention to vocational training and the digital component. Construction is one of top 10 principal sectors of employment for migrants in EU and globally, since migrant workers can be found in considerable numbers in construction domains and thus their contribution to construction industry is important worldwide. However, according to the latest report of European Construction Sector Observatory (2020) there are several specific barriers to the training of building workers, which are linked with the lack of new technologies that support the access of migrant workers in training. Cultural and linguistic barriers may also pose a difficulty for attending training. Thus, low-skilled migrant workers are at the risk of losing their jobs.According to CEDEFOP, globalization and technological changes have affected the EU construction and building workers forced them equipped with new skills (technical, soft, language skills). For this reason, there is more need for VET support on this sector, while establishing partnerships between sectorial companies and VET providers is another important issue. However, as CEPS indicates there is still a lack of investment in skills training by construction companies, due to a variety of reasons (market failures, unaffordable costs, etc.). One more challenge should concern the construction industry is the informal experience migrant workers and their prior learning recognition. Last, but not least, language learning of construction terminologies was happening on-the-job place and time until now. However, COVID19 impact has affected this type of learning due to the demand of keeping social distancing and working as remotely as possible.AIM OF THE PROJECTMiTRUST aims to develop and deliver an innovative digital tool with the intention to support migrants who would like to work in the Construction Sector to acquire the necessary language competences, soft skills and proper behaviors in the construction site. Taking into consideration that, according to ILO 2016, migrant workers can be found in considerable numbers in construction domains and according to Eurostat, construction is one of top 10 principal sectors of employment for migrants in EU and globally, the project focuses on targeted open and distance learning opportunities which will offer better career perspectives to migrants who want to be transferred in an EU country and to enter in construction industry labor market away from social exclusion and marginalization. Besides, access to learning offerings and enhancement of employability is one of the most efficient ways for Migrants' successful Integration into the recipient EU societies.<< Objectives >>OBJECTIVESThe project has set the following objectives:O1. To increase migrants’ employability in the construction sector and enhance their integration into EU societies<< Implementation >>DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES - METHODOLOGY MiTRUST incoroporates three (3) main phases of implementation:1st Phase: P.R.1. User Requirements for the MITRUST OER ToolThis is the initial and preparatory phase of project implementation. Partners will analyse the construction industry, they will identify the construction related job positions where migrants fit better and they will deliver the User Specification Requirements document. This report is a key step for the next phase of the project, which is the desing and developement of OER tools of migrant construction workers.2nd Phase: P.R.2. Development of MiTRUST OERThe main aim of this phase is the development of the Open Educational Resources of MiTRUST project aligned mainly with the priority of “Addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity” and the general perspectives of distance education readiness and the empowerment of vocational education systems. All tools that will be delivered during this phase, namely glossary, soft skills curricula, constructionpedia and self-assessment tool, will cover some of the most urgent needs of migrant construction workers. The digital tools of the 2nd phase will be inserted in the e-platform which will be developed in the last phase of the MiTRUST project.3rd Phase: P.R.3. Finalization of e-platformThis is the last and the core phase of the implementation activites of MiTRUST project, since it will lead to the the production of an innovative e-learning platform for migrant construction workers, icluding all the previous Open Educational Resources that have been developed. In order to extend the number of users and to achieve the greatest possible impact, we will include an implementation phase of Use case Scenarios for the finalization of the platform. The OERs will be tested now for their effectiveness and responsiveness. Finally, during the project implementation we are going to include:• C1: Short-term joint staff training event• 4 Multiplier EventsNUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTSAlthough this project's aim is to reach as many beneficiaries and end users as possible, it will originally engage 10 tutors/trainers and 60 migrant learners who will take part in the online learning and implementation of use case scenarios courses. CONTEXT Fostering and promoting a collaborative environment in classrooms is one of the key factors that contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive learning process where individuals can thrive. The COVID-19 global outbreak has resulted to a sudden transformation of classrooms from their face-to-face usual setting to their digital form (e-classroom). This fact has created an imperative need for teachers to adapt in a new reality, where the values of inclusion, participation and collaboration remain fundamental but risk to be neglected.
