It is reflected in actions aimed at reconnecting the urban population to agricultural production and relocating food systems by promoting short circuits. Its development is based on entrepreneurs who carry agricultural projects and on the public authorities and planners who will put in place favourable strategies on their territory.THE PROJECT'S GOALSThe main objective of the SESAME project is to promote the deployment of agricultural projects in urban and peri-urban areas of the partner countries through developing innovative training adapted to key players in the sector, taking into account the skills-based approach and the digital transition challenges.1. Encourage entrepreneurship through the creation of an ""Entrepreneurship in urban and peri-urban agriculture"" training module to validate this competence within Level IV vocational training.2. Raise the awareness of public authorities and territorial planning executives at the levers of actions aimed at facilitating the development of urban and peri-urban agriculture at the metropolitan scale. This is done through a micro-learning training ""Challenges and opportunities for urban and peri-urban agriculture"".3. Promote synergies between these two audiences through providing cross-training.4. Decompartmentalize practices on a transnational level and pool experiences.DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES- Project management: several transnational meetings are scheduled throughout the project. The monitoring committee will ensure compliance with the operating charter.- Design phase: we will conceive the pedagogical engineering of both courses and will design innovative pedagogical tools.- Experimentation phase: we will implement the training modules for the two targeted audiences through face-to-face teaching and digital tools. We will include a complementary transnational training activity. - Dissemination phase: several local dissemination events (mid-term and at the end of the project) reaching civil servants and agricultural training trainees will be planned in each partner country as well as a major final transnational dissemination event.EXPECTED RESULTS AND IMPACTS, POTENTIAL BENEFITSSHORT AND MEDIUM TERM1. Upskilling of target audiences- Vocational training contractors on the subject of urban agricultural installation (6 to 15 trainees)- Elected officials and executives of the territorial function on the subject of project support (20 to 30 participants in the pilot cities of Bologna, Barcelona and Aix-Marseille) 2. Integration and dissemination of SESAME training- Integration of the SESAME module within existing training courses* In France, integration of SESAME modules within the “BPREA” diploma (in the form of UCARE or Specialization Certificates) of Antibes CFPPA* In Spain, integration of training modules within the “Grau mitjà Tècnic diploma in Produccio Agroecologica” (in the form of an optional module) of the Escola Agrària d'Amposta * In Italy, integration of training modules within the diploma “Gestione dell'Ambiente e del Territorio” (in the form of Optional Module) of the Istituto Agrario Serpieri - Dissemination of the ""Challenges and opportunities of urban and peri-urban agriculture"" training by public authorities and training actors3. This regulation that will enter into force at the beginning of 2020 will allow a rescaling of the current energy label of products. The rescaling will create many difficulties amongst consumers as well as amongst market actors (retailers, distributors and manufacturers). BELT has the objective to facilitate the transition period informing and supporting all stakeholders and to reduce to a minimum errors at all levels of the value chain from manufacturer to consumer. Furthermore BELT aims to promote the new label on two key levels: primarily raising awareness and informing consumers (citizens but also public and business procurement staff) thus allowing them to make better and more informed choices; and secondly helping manufacturers, distributors and retailers to adapt their practices and use the rescaled labels to push innovation in designing energy efficiency products. BELT will create targeted communication campaigns for all stakeholders, it will organise workshops and events and it will develop training activities. The excellence of BELT relies on its multidisciplinary expertise and geographical coverage able to reach 20,000,000 million European consumers and 5000 market actors. BELT goes beyond its five primary target countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium and Slovenia). It is going to have in fact an impact in other four secondary target countries (Ireland, Croatia, Greece and Lithuania) and at European level thanks to the support of retailers and manufacturers’ associations as well as members of the consortium as BEUC and ICLEI.

Passenger and freight transport must be addressed together so that policies, infrastructure (physical and digital), vehicles and energy sources serve both. These will be tackled in an integrated and coherent way in six urban nodes: from policy definition, to planning and implementation in the cities cooperating in MOVE21. The tested and integrated approach will then be disseminated across Europe. This integrated approach ensures that potential negative effects from applying zero emission solutions in one domain are not transferred to other domains, but are instead mitigated. It also ensures that European transport systems will become more resilient. Central to the integrated approach of MOVE21 are three Living Labs in Oslo, Gothenburg and Hamburg and three replicator cities: Munich, Bologna and Rome. In these, different types of mobility hubs and associated innovations are tested, and means to overcome barriers for clean and smart mobility are deployed. The Living Labs are based on an open innovation model with quadruple helix partners. The co-creation processes are supported by coherent policy measures and by increasing innovation capacity in city governments and local ecosystems. The proposed solutions will deliver new, close to market ready solutions that have been proven to work in different regulatory and governance settings. The Living Labs are designed to outlast MOVE21 by applying a self-sustaining partnership model that builds on already existing, strong partnerships for zero emission solutions. MOVE21 comprises 24 partners (six public authorities, two public transport companies owned by municipalities, six industry partners (two of which are SMEs), six research organisations and four network organisations) from seven different European countries.

The uptake of sustainable mobility solutions relies on their inclusivity, affordability and safety, as well as their consistency with users’ needs. Through co-creation activities and innovative digital tools, the AMIGOS project will identify present and future mobility challenges for 5 cities (living labs) and 10 urban areas (safety improvement areas). The digital tools include a Mobility Observation Box and an application for the collection of new mobility data, which will feed a big data platform for their analysis and digital twins to visualize mobility scenarios. They will allow urban stakeholders to identify mobility challenges and will serve as a basis for the co-development of adapted mobility solutions: towards reducing traffic, increasing public and active mobility modes, improving safety and co-habitation between different mobilities for the 5 cities, and towards increased safety for the 10 urban areas. Therefore, key stakeholders such as public authorities and vulnerable users will be included in the definition of technological and policy solutions mobility solutions which will be implemented in the cities. Their environmental, safety, economic and social impacts will be assessed, in addition to their medium- and long-term impact and their replicability, in view of their implementation in 5 twin cities.
