assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:REGIONE PIEMONTEREGIONE PIEMONTEFunder: European Commission Project Code: 558946-EPP-1-2014-2-IT-EPPKA2-CBY-ACPALAFunder Contribution: 76,420 EUR"The project, which have taken place in Italy, France, Senegal, was aimed to promote active participation of young people in the society and the development of intercultural dynamics by encouraging cooperation, networking and exchange of good practices among youth associations. The purpose of the project has been to improve the internationalization of youth associations, to strengthen skills, knowledge, methods of youth workers; to promote intercultural awareness through the exchange of good practices; to encourage the involvement of young people. The project has been developed in urban and peri-urban territories of the partners involved, where the phenomena of marginalization, insecurity and youth unemployment are widespread. In such contexts, youth organizations can play a crucial role in order to foster participation and active citizenship of young in the society. The project was aimed to ensure the involvement of all the target groups, at the begin, in the mobility preliminary phase, in the training Course, in the Seminars and Workshops which took place during the week and at the end in the dissemination activities in every territory involved.The core of the project has been the mobility week of youth workers from France and Senegal, which has seen the participation of Italian workers (12-17 October 2015 in Turin).The youth workers have participated to the Course ""Methods and educational best practices for young people on sustainable development and international solidarity”.Alongside the Course other main activities have been: the Expo2015 Study Tour; the International Conference ""Food, common good and responsibility"", organized on the occasion of the World Day of the FAO; the Workshop ""Communicating the actions of youth and international cooperation for a more sustainable world"" and they have also been able to visit the Fair ""Fa 'la cosa giusta!""(“Do the right thing!”) which provided youth workers some suggestions and inputs for the dissemination activities to be developed in the territories. Main topics of the exchange mobility week among partners, youth workers and other partners groups have been: cooperation and international solidarity, sustainable development, common goods, food and agriculture, global citizenship.Following the mobility week, the youth workers have carried out dissemination activities based on the skills and methods acquired and on the subject of sustainable development, international solidarity, agriculture, environment. These activities, tailored to the different territory contexts, have involved some other youth workers, women’s groups, farmers, students and local administrators. During the project has also been realized a Blog (https://jeuneap.wordpress.com) to share training and awareness activities that have taken place in the three countries."

The role of sport in regenerating deprived areas”, attention was paid to the importance of sports for the psycho-physical well-being of hu-mans, as a vehicle of conveying values such as solidarity, participation and inclusion, and as an added value for the enhancement of deprived areas. It’s an innovative way to promote healthy lifestyles through sports activities such as walking, fitwalking or power walking, in natural envi-ronments.<< Objectives >>- To promote a more active lifestyle through sports, in particular fitwalking;- To stimulate EU public authorities to undertake actions associated with sports and health in local policies regarding the development of marginal areas in Europe;- To raise the community’s awareness of the value of sports and physical activity;- To establish a sustainable transnational network of Fitwalking skills in Europe, with the aim of ex-changing good practices and experiences.<< Implementation >>The activities of the project were executed in three phases developed by the 6 partner countries involved (Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Estonia): 1. Analysis of local needs in the six Countries involved, collection and sharing of best practices; 2. Laboratories, Practical sport exchanges, Participatory actions, exchange of experiences in teaching module; 3. Encouraging participation in Fitwalking sport and create common guidelines; realization of a final multiplier sport event.<< Results >>Six deprived, natural European areas were involved in the project; a report concerning local needs was produced; 66 participatory actions were carried out, with over 2300 participants; common guidelines about the benefit of fitwalking were created; a multiplier sport event of fitwalking was held in Ceresole (IT) with over 250 participants; about 174 satisfaction questionnaires were collected during the participatory actions.

The common interest is to promote active participation and direct meetings between decision-makers and young adults to address issues relevant to the youth population, making a path whose results will be used to revise the regional law n.16 / 95 ""Coordination and support activities for young people.""The MAIN OBJECTIVES are:Improve the skills and key competences of young people, promoting their participation in democratic life and active citizenshipEncourage debate on some issues concerning the youth, promoting the active involvement of young people in the discussion on the issues and priorities covered by the legislative review.The project will be implemented by some Piedmont ORGANISATIONS working regularly with young people, even under the Erasmus+ programme: cooperatives Vedogiovane, Stranaidea and Vedogiovane Asti and the community association CISV – Comunità Impegno Servizio Volontariato.PARTICIPANTS will be at least 300 young people aged between 18 and 28, ensuring gender balance. The partnership will manage to reach young people all over the Piedmont. We will involve both young people with specific experience in certain sectors (culture, ecology, work, etc ...) and other without specific experience.The PREPARATION includes:Informative campaign throughout the Piedmont region, using databases of the partners, services that deal with young people, universities, etc...In each of the eight provinces of Piedmont, an experiential workshop (1-2 days) with a specific theme: Environment; Job; Citizenship and legality; Intercultural; Entrepreneurship and new jobs; Housing; Social economy; Culture. The working method includes: practical activities, debriefing, confrontation in order to identify needs and proposals for the debate with the policy makers.Project website, promoted through social networks, with high levels of interaction with the users to enable young people to inform themselves and contribute to the discussionTHE MAIN ACTIVITY of the project is the organization and management of an event lasting two days that promotes the debate between young people, policy makers and sector experts, based on reflections and suggestions already shared within the laboratories and through the website.This meeting involves the active participation of 300 young people, 100 of them in presence and 200 remotely, through the use of the project website.The meeting involves four different modules which are closely related:Presentation of the initiative and start of workPresentation and study in groups of what emerged in the preparatory phaseDevelopment of shared positions, proposals and recommendations for youth policies designed and implemented at regional levelFeedbacks and conclusions8 youth-workers, with proven skills and experience in the management of youth groups and members of the organisations participating in the network “Rete Europa Piemonte” will conduct activities and animate the debate with the young people, both present and connected by the Internet.Policy-makers and officials of public bodies will contribute with a listening phase, followed by a debate and the construction of a final summary of the work, to be integrated in the revision of the law.There will also be guests from other Italian regions and European countries to bring specific expertise on specific issues addressed.The WORKING METHOD includes short speeches and mainly dialogues in groups, focusing on the comparison between the experiences of the participants. Both during the work in plenary and in the focus groups there will be surveys and consultations in the presence and online, in order to collect immediate feedbacks on the issues discussed.These are the EXPECTED RESULTS of the project. For the young people involved:Improve fundamental competences to be able to contribute actively to a debate: active listening, analytical thinking, cooperation, information search, leadership. The competences will be evaluated to complete the Europass CVDevelopment of interest and capability to deal with relevant issues from a European perspective and not only from a local point of view"
