"In this project, on the initiative of the school supervision of the Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, four educational institutions of private vocational training have formed a consortium to:- get to Europe together and to learn with each other and from each other.- be able to hold joint seminars for teaching staff in Europe.- to facilitate first foreign experiences for disadvantaged students through two-week occupational field studies with supervision of teaching staff.- to open the opportunity for internships abroad (4 to 8 weeks) for nursery nurses of the schools. The individual consortium partners have varying levels of experience in the ""Europeanisation"" of their schools. The aim of this project is therefore also to work together beyond the Erasmus + program on the development of schools and institutions andalso to cooperate at the national level.Positive positive experience abroad of colleagues from the participating schools is, in our experience, the prerequisite for a Europeanization in the schools to be truly and completely accomplished. This project includes 73 mobilities. Of which 53 for learners and 20 for educational staff."

"<< Background >>The project ""EXACT II - Exchange as Continuation of Training"" is based on various previous projects and has been carried out very successfully in roughly this constellation of consortium partners since 2009. In the beginning the project consisted ofGerman side in a cooperation between the Jane Addams School (JAS) and the Society for European Education (GEB). In recent years, several other technical schools for social education and also some vocational schools from other departments have joined this cooperation. As stipulated in the European development plan of this project application as well as in the European development plan of the consortium partners accredited in 2021, the partners want to try together to anchor stays abroad for teachers and students in schools in such a way that school life would be unimaginable without them . At the same time, we would like to promote the exchange between the participating institutions within the consortium and also use other areas of the Erasmus+ program together (e.g. voluntary services for learners after completing their training).<< Objectives >>In general, the members of the consortium pursue the goals that the EU Commission is pursuing with the Erasmus+ program:- Improving the quality of mobility mainly through developing the skills of teaching and management staff and the development towards longer-term stays abroad for learners- Increasing the number of participants through the development of low-threshold offers for entry into professional experience abroad- Encouraging innovation - for example by developing short-term mobility for learners involving more than two countries- Recognition and transparency of the competences of the trainees through direct communication between teachers and the possibility of being able to UNDERSTAND other professional training courses abroad in the literal sense.- Increasing the motivation to learn a foreign languageAbove all, however, is the goal of giving as many people as possible the opportunity to grow and develop as a personality through personal experiences abroad.<< Implementation >>The implementation of the Exact (1) project was an important step towards achieving these goals. Although it was not applied for as a consortium project, it has already lived to a large extent from the cooperation with the various technical schools: Joint preparatory seminars were held with students from different schools, students from different schools went abroad together. In general, four main activities were implemented - analogous to the European Development Plan:1) Further training for teachers and school management staff (courses or internships) abroad2) STEP - Start Your European Project: Low-threshold offers of stays abroad with accompaniment in a safe environment for schoolchildren who are afraid of going abroad alone.3) Discover Europe - Scholarships for internships abroad during training. Carried out either as a ""free mover"", with a self-organized internship and self-organized apartment or through European partners (intermediary organizations) of the GEB.4) PRO MOVE - Long-term stays abroad after completing the trainingThe activities represent a stage model that should lead to as many people as possible taking part.<< Results >>The trainees have been able to get to know a job-specific field of work in depth abroad. You have to experience the mutual penetration of theory and practice in another European country based on the competences you have already learned in your home country. The participants have acquired key qualifications for designing an independent, responsible professional activity. The learning outcomes for the management and teaching staff relate more to the desired school development towards aEuropeanization or internationalization of the institutions involved. Here it was all about didactic-pedagogicalGetting to know approaches in other countries in practice. Many of these approaches have been transferred as ideas from the participants to the relevant committees (e.g. general conference) of the institutions involved and thus influence the developments of the institutions both didactically and organizationally."

"Both the educators and the management of the consortium partners have been trying for years to develop an international network of partner organizations in other European countries. For the first time this year we are given the opportunity to set up a project in cooperation with various daycare centers in Berlin as the institution designated by the Senate Administration. With this project application, we would like to give daycare staff the opportunity to develop their professional skillsto develop at European level, thereby improving the quality of daily work. In general, the participants in this mobility project should be given the opportunity to attend seminars abroad and get to know educational institutions and thus be able to view their own educational concepts and working methods from a different perspective. This project represents a first practical step towards an international orientation of the participating institutions. As part of the project, we want to achieve the following goals for the organization:By taking advantage of Erasmus + mobility funding, we would like to have stable pedagogical teams in elementary education for the future despite the tense skilled worker situation in Germany and to implement our offers in higher quality. We want to position the organizations well for the challenges of daily work and prepare them for further innovations. We want all of our employees to have an appreciative and attentive attitude towards children and to live inclusion in the facilities. We want to become a consultative organization in the European context and pass on our experience and knowledge. We want our facilities to be among those visited by other countries as part of Erasmus +.The main activity consists of four-day courses on the subject of early childhood education and upbringing / inclusion for the named group of people in many countries in Europe from 2020 to 2022 and the intensive preparation for these courses, which has already started in connection with the application for this project ,Thematically, the courses will provide an overview of the structure of early childhood education in the countries visited and address both the differences and possible common challenges in daily work with children and parents. The topic of ""inclusion"" will be a central component of the training at all seminars. In general, the courses are divided into the following elements:- Theoretical basics: introduction to the respective education systems of the countries visited, their particular strengths but also challenges- Visits and exchange with colleagues on site: support centers, day care centers, family centers, responsible administrations, political decision-makers (best practice ...)- Research / University: Discourse with professors on current research questions and projects (what is currently relevant?), In particular on children with disabilities and their support- Discourse with teachers in the training of educational specialists in the countries visited on the issues developed by the participants in GermanyThe target group of the project are both educators from institutions of early childhood education in Berlin as well as the (pedagogical) management staff. A total of 100 people should be given the opportunity to take courses abroad. We expect from the project that the path of internationalization and Europeanization of the consortium partners, which has already been started in some cases, will be further expanded through the results of this project. We expect the employees to bring the specialist knowledge on educational topics in Europe and the sensitivity and knowledge of behavior in intercultural situations from the seminars and to both the sponsors and the individual daycare centerswidespread. The experiences gained abroad with new pedagogical approaches and methods will stimulate the colleagues to re-evaluate their own work and to use the pedagogical approaches and methods they have experienced for their own work.In cooperation with the Senate Department for Education, Women and Youth, the results of the project are to be made accessible to a wider public through a central event for the handover of the Europasses."

"<< Background >>The GEB heads the consortium, which, among other things, also jointly planned and implemented this project. The aim was to continue to accompany the institutions on the path to Europeanization / internationalization and to integrate the Erasmus+ program even more into school life.In addition to the consortium partners, there are currently around 30 partnerships, mainly with private and public vocational schools, but also with general schools and other educational and further training institutions throughout Germany. The partners would like to use this project so that they don't have to go their way towards Europeanization alone, but rather to be part of a German network.Specifically, we wanted to make Europe more visible in the schools through the stays abroad of teachers and learners and to make the use of the program in both groups the exception to the norm. This should also result in an upgrading of professional training compared to academic training.<< Objectives >>The most important area for the members of the consortium, in which improvements should be achieved, was the constant expansion of competence on the part of the management and teaching staff, which is central to the learning success of the learners. A significant part of this expansion of competence should continue to be obtained through the stays abroad of the staff. The aim of this project was to continue to teach learners (key) skills and abilities that are important for their further personal and professional life. These are mainly:- Professional skills in the field of social and nursing professions.- Linguistic competence (also in the use of a bridging language such as English)- Intercultural skills (including through the experience of being a ""foreigner"")- Social skills through working in an international team- Resilience and personal development of the trainees through independent problem solvingThe implementation of the European Development Plan and the promotion of particularly disadvantaged schoolchildren was very important to us.<< Implementation >>A total of 79 mobilities were carried out in the project. Of these, 26 mobilities were carried out by educational staff and 53 mobilities by learners. 9 mobilities of learners could not start as planned at short notice due to the Corona regulations.Due to the project's focus on motivating particularly ""disadvantaged"" and ""educationally disadvantaged"" students, mostly short-term mobility was carried out in this area. The teachers went to Iceland, Poland, Italy and Sweden for various vocational training courses. The aim in each case was to get to know the systems of vocational training and to use good approaches in this area for one's own work in Germany.<< Results >>The corona pandemic has severely hampered the implementation of the project. This applies to the implementation of the mobilities themselves, but it also applies to the implementation of the program in the institutions involved: Europe, travel and other countries had almost completely disappeared from school life for two years. The mobilities carried out were seen as an exception and not as part of ""normal"" everyday school life. In some cases, after the two-year abstinence, the implementation of the program has to start almost from scratch in the facilities.Nevertheless, during the mobility activities themselves, the planned results were almost completely achieved despite existing corona restrictions:- Improving the quality of mobility mainly through competence development of teaching and managerial staff- Encouraging innovation - for example by developing short-term mobility for learners- Recognition and transparency of trainees' competences through direct communication between teachers.- Increasing the motivation to learn a foreign language- Increasing self-confidence and strengthening personality development"
