The idea came from a need for motivated junior leaders in all three partner organisations. We called the project ABCirk within our schools and also in the communication to the outside world. There were five young people and two circus tutors from each organisation participating in the project for the whole duration of two years between autumn 2016 and summer 2018.The objectives of the project were to bring young motivated youth circus members together and teach them skills to become junior leaders in youth circus classes in their circus schools. We wanted to give them the experience of international cooperation and through this finding the differences and similarities to circus teaching in different circus organisations. They were working together as a group of peers learning from each other as well as from the participating tutors. The group of 15 young people stayed the same for the whole duration of the project. They took part in three training modules during the two years. In Galway in May 2017 they learned about video making, group dynamics and safety in teaching. In Prague in November 2017 they got deeper in theory of (circus) pedagogy and learned about using games as a tool for teaching and learning in (circus) education. In Brno in June 2018 they helped with setting up and taking down of a youth circus festival, assisted with the organisation and also taught workshops to younger youth circus members from three European countries. The learning process, methods and games were documented in videos taken by the young participants and shared online: https://bit.ly/2Nv1dAZ The young participants stated in their evaluations that the project gave them an insight in circus teaching, raised their confidence in teaching and awareness of the need to adapt the lessons to each concrete group. They could see the progress made during the two years and also in between the three training sessions. Majority of the Czech participants felt much more confident in English and all 15 participants felt more comfortable in international cooperation by the end of the project. Most of them were also offered work in assisting in circus workshops at festivals and other events by their schools which makes it likely for them to get more paid work in the field in the future. There have been a great interest from other youth members of the partner schools to take part in this project. The three schools and another Belgian youth circus school submitted a new application for a KA2 project through the Czech National Agency that would use the learning of this project and move it further in a direction of peer to peer learning.

The e-learning proves to be an efficient means for ensuring the chances equality for the European young volunteers, developing their competences all along their EVS, and commit them into a continuous and easy-to-achieve learning process, so that they could enhance their skills, optimize their role within the host community, and pave their way towards their career. The e-learning, can be an efficient and sustainable educational tool to support mentors, trainers and supervisors the volunteers as well. In this context, we wish to co-operate with our partners engaged in the EVS, coming from 6 Euro Med countries in order to launch a project made up of diverse & complementary activities for 18 months, centered on the topic of on-line educational support for the volunteers. Our project consists of the following activities:- A 2-days transnational Project meeting in Tunisia, whereby the person in charge of the project of every partner organization will be gathered to determine in common the methods of the implementation of the project and the role to be assigned by every partner.- Preparation of 2 researches schemes which aim at detecting the specific needs of the EuroMed volunteers in terms of On-line trainings.- A 9-days Training course in Tunisia, which will involve 4 participants from each partner organization (namely, 3 participants who work directly with the volunteers and one instructor-designer). It will also enable them to create 22 on-line trainings commensurate to the needs of the volunteers through our platform (e-evs.eu).- Completion and testing the on line courses (During 2 months).- A 9 -days Training course in Greece, will gather the same persons who took part in the previous one). The aim of this TC will be creating evaluation tools and instruments for the validation of the skills developed by the beneficiaries of the platform & to train participants to become E-mentors devoted to the volunteers who benefit from our Moodle platform. - Creating a technical and pedagogical tool for the exploitation of our platform to the interest of the beneficiaries.- A 5-month operation of the On-line trainings through our Platform, by the volunteers, whereby the E-mentors will provide the proper support to the beneficiaries. During these 5 months each partner will send 1 volunteer to another partner for 1 month to take part to our platform during all process. - Creating & disseminating a promotional video and post cards, in order to promote our platform in large scale .- A 2-day transnational evaluation meeting in Lebanon, during which we will evaluate our project and will define a common plan to ensure the sustainability of our platform.

There will be a practical session in the third training consisting of giving workshops to children and families during a youth circus festival in Brno in June 2021.We aim to have the learning process happening mostly through peer-to-peer learning. The whole process will be documented on video by participating young people and shared online on a video channel managed by participating young people themselves. These videos will be made for other youth circus members around the world to encourage them to learn more about circus teaching in an informal way. As they will be made by their peers they will be more accessible than written publications produced by professional circus school and universities. The online video channel will be accessible to anyone even after the project is finished. We believe that our participants will continue updating it for several more years and will engage more young circus members to contribute to it as well.Participation on this programme will bring more future cooperation among the participants themselves, the partner organisations and also other organisations from the Czech Republic, Belgium and Ireland as well as other European youth circuses connected in Caravan Youth and Social Circus Network and Educircation Network. Having an international experience in teenage years will make it much easier for our participants to cooperate on a European level in future on a professional and personal level.

We wish to collaborate and share our know-how with each other in order to develop intellectual outputs that support teachers and teachers’ communities to increase their subjective psychological well-being, affecting motivation and effectivity of the learning process of the individual, with a special focus on the prevention of drop out and early school leaving . We believe that European values can be best transmitted in institutions, towards which its’ members have positive feelings. NEEDSResearch shows that early school leaving is associated with a range of physical health and mental health outcomes. Children and young people with a higher level of school connectedness are less likely to abuse substances, engage combined with high peer connectedness is associated with higher risks of substance or mental health problems, and those students with both low school and low peer connectedness are at an elevated risk of substance and mental health problems and are also more likely to leave school early. Higher level of school connectedness is possible to reach through increasing positive feelings connected to the school, in which the pedagogue and the team of pedagogues of the school play key role. Teachers and educators in Central Europe are overburdened of tasks and burocratic procedures, while they get very few support on engaging methods for reaching higher level of school connectedness. TARGET GROUPSassociate partner schools teachers (15-35 participants/partner)associate partner schools students (direct impact: 120 students, indirect impact: 500 students/partner)associate partner schools decision makersdrama and theatre in education professionals nationally, regionally, internationallyteachers, educators, education professionals, education supporter institutions and organizationseducational policy makersGENERAL OBJECTIVES:to develop modules and structuring them a curricula for teachers training with long lasting impact on the involvement of students in their own learning process, using drama and theatre in education techniques, which are proven to be effective in the matter.to provide guidance and support for teachers to adapt to the challenges of the outdated education systems, still growing positive feelings and high connectedness to the schoolto widen, improve and innovate drama and theatre in education methods for teachers and adults, finding out ways how it serves best the support of education and learning for both learners and teachersto impact the attitude of teachers and schools about the importance of collaborative methods, divergent thinking and emotional involvement in learning, providing them tools of HOW to awaken curiosity for personal growth in students TRANSNATIONAL ASPECT:The field of theatre and drama in education as we work with the method is quite small Europe and worldwide. There are not many companies using drama for experiential learning and embedded in Educational Programmes. By designing this project we are forming a network of European organizations working similarly. We could not gain the same result only working nationally, without the international partners, the competence for the achievements of the goals lies in the current partnership.Partners have experience of different length and depth of tackling early school leaving, and working with teachers’ groups, which they can exchange through the project, enrichening their own practice and innovating methods.Partners work slightly differently applying drama and theatre in education methods and addressing social problems. Big Brum has the most long lasting experience, while Nyitott Kör is able to employ a company of 5 actor-teachers plus support staff to tour 14 different TiE programs parallel to each other. Luzanky and Stop Klatka work more with educational drama and forum theatre methods to address issues and plan programs based on needs of the schools, which is not a practice in Big Brum’s and Nyitott Kör’s works.
