This project contributes to the call’s overall objective, which is to stimulate the competitiveness of eco-innovative SMEs seeking to launch their products on world markets. This project introduces an eco-innovative product, a car-starting battery, which contains no hazardous materials, extends battery life at least six times longer (in start-stop life) compared to lead-acid batteries, and produces significant CO2 savings. Olife has developed a new car battery that is a milestone in the evolution of the automotive industry. It is the first full substitute for lead-acid batteries and offers many advantages, such as: superb performance, light weight, high range of operating temperatures, ideally suited to start-stop systems, superior reliability and durability, resistance to extreme vibration, starting ability up to 90% DOD (depth of discharge), lead and acid free, non-hazardous and eco-friendly. The business innovation project aims to complete the development and to demonstrate industrial readiness and maturity for primary market introduction (the new vehicle market), to build brand awareness, develop communication and dissemination activities for both the primary market and the aftermarket. This objective will be accomplished via three key steps: 1) Testing, modification and finalisation of product development for OEM market 2) Communication and dissemination activities 3) Protection of intellectual property The current battery market, due to LAB (lead-acid battery) technology limitations, offers a wide variety of batteries of different capacities. Olife's offering (L2 and L5) successfully meets major market requirements. • The L2 Olife battery is equivalent to a 55Ah LAB battery. • The L5 Olife battery is equivalent to a 110Ah LAB battery. Patent applications have been already submitted in the 120 countries. In Mexico and South Africa, a patent has already been obtained. In other countries, patents are pending.

GREEN – GreeneR EuropEan vet Network proposal aims to identify, develop, test and assess innovative policy approaches for a “Greener” education that have the potential of becoming mainstreamed among systems, countries and contexts, to improve education and training systems, as well the effectiveness of policies and practices in the field of education and training across 6 industrial sectors (Automotive, Energy, Batteries, Defence, Maritime and Additive Manufacturing).GREEN will contribute to foster Green skills in the VET sector, by setting core green skills for the labour market and support the green transition across different economic sectors, by integrating this set into VET curricula as well as into training of teachers and trainers and professional development.Through the twinning of entities working on education, training, research, policy making and industry, GREEN will be capable of gathering the needs and best practices from different perspectives to enable the recovery and just transitions to digital and green economies, thus promoting innovation, creativity and participation, as well as social entrepreneurship in different fields of education and training and across industrial sectors towards the Green Transition. Transnational cooperation and mutual learning on forward-looking issues will be established amongst key stakeholders, empowering them to develop innovative solutions and promote the transfer of those solutions in new settings. Other specific aims are: to change mind-sets and prepare the workforce from different sectors within a multidisciplinary green and digital scope; to develop a cutting-edge Green curriculum, with teaching and learning methodologies that meet the industry needs; to develop student-centred approaches and flexible educational pathways; to boost a cross-fertilization of knowledge among universities, VETs and enterprises; to boost innovation in manufacturing, especially related with Circular Economy and Sustainability.

The project FLAMENCO (Forward Looking Approaches for Green Mobility Ecosystem Network Collaboration) goal is to analyse and pilot forward looking approaches and methods to enable and make sustainable the collaboration on the skills intelligence in the Automotive-Mobility Ecosystem. It is the direct support of the Pact for Skills large-scale partnership implementation in the Automotive-Mobility Ecosystem - Automotive Skills Alliance. The challenge is to make the collaboration of the partnership pragmatic and sustainable (outreach to other Pact for Skills partnerships as a good practice) so that it brings valuable info about the new technological and societal trends, related skills needs training offer/needs and other goals in terms of the skills intelligence leading up to the re-/up-skilling within the European mobility ecosystem. The project main activities will be to analyse the sector in cooperation with stakeholders in terms of the needs, tools, requirements and goals of the sectoral collaboration on skills intelligence via different methods, such as desk research, survey or workshop all validated by the sectoral stakeholders.Finding will be implemented in the methodology, methods and models for the collaboration and unified methodology and approach will be provided and further tested and piloted on individual focus groups. Project will develop recommendations and good practices in form of case studies and will provide them alongside with tested, frequently updated and validated methods which are to be rolled-out in different Pact for Skills partnerships and sustained after the project ends. All of this is supported by strong partnership with background and experience with skills agenda, pioneering Pact for Skills partnership as a full partner, strategical projects and implementation of such activities. Dissemination will assure that the impact of the project is consistent and on the desired level to the all Pact for Skills community in Europe.
