"The project aims to comnect the environmental protection work with the promotion of youth entrepreneurship, exploring and promoting new ideas and new models thought to deal with the social needs following from migrants crisis. Four-day study visit in Puglia (South Italy) land denominate ""bridge between cultures"" holding 12 participants, trainers, educators, leaders of youth policy and youth leaders from Israel, Palestine, Tunisia, Greece, Netherlands and Italy. Interaction with local associations, Migrants Centers, Public Institutions, Schools and National Parks, all engaged in synergistic integration experiences of migrants in actions to protect public and social gardens, eco-tourist routes, environmental education and active citizenship, intercultural events as the ""Cultures Festival"". Through a communicative methodology peer to peer suitable to overthrow stereotypes and prejudices and to promote liability, participants will be relate not only with places, but with people who live these places. Learning through relationship and experience the importance of the protection of values and common heritage to approach a shared reflection and share best practices to promote projects and partnerships which support the role of youth in activities and networks to contribute to dialogue and dissemination of European citizenship values, democracy and respect for human rights, especially in those communities facing the migration and default of peace and dialogue."

ODYSSEA will develop, operate and demonstrate an interoperable and cost-effective platform that fully integrates networks of observing and forecasting systems across the Mediterranean basin, addressing both the open sea and the coastal zone. The platform will collect its data from the many databases maintained by agencies, public authorities, and institutions of Mediterranean EU and non-EU countries, integrating existing earth observation facilities and networks in the Mediterranean Sea building on key initiatives such as Copernicus, GEOSS, GOOS, EMODNet, ESFRI, Lifewatch, Med-OBIS, GBIF, AquaMaps, Marine IBA e-atlas, MAPAMED and others with marine and maritime links. Through ODYSSEA’s end-user centred approach, in which the various groups of end-users and stakeholders, within and external to the Consortium, will be involved from Day 1 of the project in the design, development and operation of the platform, including identification of gaps in data collection and accessibility. High priority gaps will be filled through multiple approaches that include developing a network of coastal observatories, deploying novel in-situ sensors at sea (a.o. microplastic sensors), oceanographic modelling and integrating existing mobile apps for citizen scientist networks. Applying advanced algorithms to organise, homogenise and fuse the large quantities of data in common standard type and format as well as other types of formats, the ODYSSEA platform will provide both primary data and on-demand derived data services, including forecasts, from ALL Mediterranean countries through a SINGLE PUBLIC PORTAL to various end-user groups and stakeholders. End-user requirements will drive the creation of secondary data sets which the platform will provide as new and packaged services matching the specialised information needs of users. ODYSSEA will improve accessibility to existing data as well as increase the temporal and geographic coverage of observational data in the Mediterranean.

The EcoScope project will develop an interoperable platform and a robust decision-making toolbox, available through a single public portal, to promote an efficient, ecosystem-based fisheries management. It will be guided by policy makers and scientific advisory bodies, and address ecosystem degradation and the anthropogenic impact that are causing fisheries to be unsustainably exploited across European Seas. The EcoScope Platform will organise and homogenise climatic, oceanographic, biogeochemical, biological and fisheries datasets for European Seas to a common standard type and format that will be available through interactive mapping layers. The EcoScope Toolbox, a scoring system based on assessments of all ecosystem components, ecosystem and economic models, will operate as a decision-support tool for examining fisheries management and marine policy scenarios and spatial planning simulations. Groups of end-users and stakeholders will be involved in the design, development and operation of both the platform and the toolbox. Novel assessment methods for data-poor fisheries, including non-commercial species, as well as for biodiversity and the conservation status of protected megafauna, will be used to assess the status of all ecosystem components across European Seas and test new technologies for evaluating the environmental, anthropogenic and climatic impact on ecosystems and fisheries. A series of sophisticated capacity building tools (online courses, webinars and games) will be available to stakeholders through the EcoScope Academy. The EcoScope project will provide an effective toolbox to decision makers and end-users that will be adaptive to their capacity, needs and data availability. The toolbox will incorporate methods for dealing with uncertainty; thus, it will promote efficient, holistic, sustainable, ecosystem-based fisheries management that will aid towards restoring fisheries sustainability and ensuring balance between food security and healthy seas.

"The main priority of the project “RESourCE” is to ""engage, connect and empower"" the young generations on the fundamental objective of creating a sustainable green Europe, as encouraged in the European Union Strategy for Youth 2019-2027. To tackle environmental threats is an urgent need for our society, confirmed also by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which need to be achieved by 2030. This process of change requires knowledge, skills and the will to convert current socio-economic models into more sustainable ones; all of these components, however, are not yet developed in young people. In Italy, only 17% of young people under 27 know the 17 goals of sustainable development, and for 6 of them out of 10, it will be up to future generations to achieve these goals. With these needs in mind, CSA has decided to build a strategic partnership for the exchange of good practices in environmental education and eco-compatibility of human activities. It will be composed of 4 European partners, based in Germany, Hungary, Spain and Italy, and 1 Israeli partner, a world leader in saving natural spaces and educating young people in active initiatives for nature. CSA has privileged a cross-sectoral approach, and chosen to involve partners specialized in different fields, from youth training (CSA) to sustainable urban development (GARAPEN), from industrial production and circular economy (ITALCAM) to school education (KÖZGAZDASÁGI POLITECHNIKUM ), from technological innovation to youth activism (SPNI). 18 participants aged between 18 and 60 will be selected, among people committed to youth work or to projects aimed at supporting young people in sustainable development. Particular attention will be dedicated to include 5 participants with fewer opportunities. The project will be for them a precious opportunity to overcome economic, social, cultural or geographical barriers. All participants will take part in the on-site activities of the project, in the online sessions for sharing of materials and in 4 joint training events in each European partner country.Non-formal methods will be preferred to share good practices, based on experiential and ""learning by doing"".Thanks to meetings with researchers, entrepreneurs, local development authorities, students, etc., the participants will be able to improve their role as guides and facilitators, able to produce knowledge and correct information and, at the same time, to carry out a 'pedagogical' function, helping adults of tomorrow to adopt eco-friendly behaviours.Mobility periods will represent a ""creative"" moment, in which participatory techniques will be adopted, such as Future Workshops, World Cafes, Brainstorming, Storytelling, Debriefing, Laboratories, which will be replicated by each participant in their own countries, in activities involving young people.A platform (RESourCE) will also be created; it will be a virtual space where materials, success stories, events, laboratories, videos of outdoor activities will converge. It will be open not only to partner organizations and young people, but also to all those subject interested in developing eco-sustainability initiatives (public bodies, schools and universities, youth associations, companies).During the entire duration of the project, the contents and results of the project will be disseminated, both through ICT channels and through events in schools, youth centres, public bodies, companies, trade associations etcThanks to the support of local authorities, private institutes, environmental bodies, professionals, both local and national , and through the online platform, the project will continue to support itself and to produce its positive impact even after the formal closure of the European funding."
