EU is still facing lots of difficulties that put at risk the “inclusive growth” which the Europe 2020 strategy is aiming for. Even if in 2018 unemployment has returned to its pre-crisis level, it remains high in some Member States. In the euro area, the unemployment rate is 8.1% in Q2-2018. The EU area has recorded improvements in the state of employment in general and in all critical categories (people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, young and old workers, women, migrants and disadvantaged people). The 25-49 age group, despite having in general the highest employment rate, has some critical issues, first of all long-term unemployment, that represents 35% of the total unemployed (Eurostat 2020 data) and affects in particular among the most disadvantaged categories, such as low-skilled workers, migrants, women, people with disabilities. These human resources require special attention in order not to be excluded from the labor market. As reported in Joint Employment Report 2019, Italy scores “critical” on the long-term unemployment rate and Spain “weak but improving”.Last but not least, the consequences of COVID-19 pandemic on society and the EU labor market will probably lead to a sharp decrease in employability data, affecting the most disadvantaged groups of the population. According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), the economic and labor crisis caused by COVID-19 could increase unemployment in the world by almost 25 million, and unfortunately also in Europe the effects of this crisis will be heavy. For example, in Spain in just over two weeks, since the consequences of the crisis began to be felt in the economy, around 900,000 people had already lost their jobs (data from National Social Security). This situation determined the partner organizations to involve in this exchange of practice, directly and indirectly 100 adult learners (adult people between 35 and 50 years old in situation of disadvantage) and the staff of the organizations involved in the project and those working in adult education and career guidance. The project aims to develop key competences in adult population and to strengthen the network of actors in the field of adult education, training and career guidance in the participating territories, in order to favour the social and professional fulfilment and inclusion of disadvantaged adults. The specific objectives are: SO1. Raising the quality of adult learning, directly involving at least 36 participants (disadvantaged adults between 35 and 50 years old) in international learning experiences to strengthen their skills and Key Competences in a creative, innovative, non-formal learning environment.SO2. To promote the inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion, fostering their self-esteem and autonomy, strengthening the attitude to lifelong learning and social development of 36 adults through experiences exchange with those coming from different contexts.SO3. To develop key competences of the staff of the partner organisation, sharing methodologies, tools and good practices for adult social and professional inclusion.SO4. To develop a more integrated information system in lifelong learning, guidance, training and job opportunities offered to adult population and increase the knowledge of EU Programmes for adults.SO5. To stimulate an open mind, intercultural exchange and intergenerational dialogue in at least 100 adults, fostering the development of their social skills and active participation to society. The main activities will include preparation activities, diagnosis and analysis of situation, identification and collection of good practices in the field of adult education and career guidance for adults over 35, mentoring activities, 3 transnational project meetings, 2 short-term joint staff training events in UK and Czech Republic, 2 blended mobilities of adult learners of 10 days in Spain and Italy, visibility events in each partner country, evaluation and dissemination activities. The main project outputs will be:• Project multilingual website (according to the languages of the institutions involved in the project) for sharing good practices and project's results.• Booklet with diagnosis and analysis of situation, identification and collection of good practices in the field of adult education and career guidance for adults over 35, uploaded in the project website. • Business plan/professional paths for adult learners over 35. • Video Vademecum for active participation and active job search for adults over 35.The project will have an impact at local, regional and European level, raising awareness of the importance of lifelong learning and career guidance, developing competences of adult learners and of the staff of the partner organisations, promoting social and professional inclusion of disadvantaged adults.

DILABS is part of a dynamic process to raise awareness about key competences and basic skills in a work situation. Our objective was to capitalise on experiences, teaching and training approaches at European level. While digital technology plays an important role in training offer and educational practices, DILABS provides a set of online results (educational outputs in the form of booklets, online activities, videos, etc.) and examples of innovative practices in classrooms that foster collaborative work. Thus, we wanted to focus on analysing contexts in the project partner countries, analysing training situations, and identifying and pinpointing the competence in a given situation in the perspective of transferring the results in various professional contexts and committing on methodology. The consortium was made of 8 European organisations from France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland, Norway: vocational training organisations, private and small companies dedicated to adult education and training of trainers, NGO, universities and higher education institution (public and private). The project deals with key competences such as communication (languages), digital skills, and soft skills for citizenship and employability (team building, teamwork, cooperation, critical thinking, cultural awareness). With DILABS we can deliver digital tools and videos to raise awareness in the field of key competences and resources to learn how to film and how to analyse the activity. The consortium implemented learning activities all along the project (study visits, or training sessions) in order for the participants to understand the European contexts, to be trained to use the digital tools and videos for educational purposes, to film and to develop online training. These activities fostered the enrichment of the participants’ practices for the benefit of their organisation and the learners, and contributed to the valorisation of the results and the improvement of the intellectual outputs. We developed a Moodle platform (Creative Commons) with open access to the results of the project, to the pedagogical resources and videos (channel dedicated to DILABS).The target and beneficiaries of the project are teachers and trainers, and professionals involved in adult education or in work-based training, human resources managers, tutors, coach, and students in Sciences of education.

60+VirtualCulture was an international initiative in which 4 partner organizations of similar background in informal education, including education of seniors, from Wroclaw, Poland (ŻÓŁTY PARASOL), Paris, France (ESENIORS) , Prague, Czech Republic (GLAFKA) and Reggio di Calabria, Italy (INOVAMENTIS) have worked together to improve and optimize educational offer for erderly conserning their digital competences within the context of culture accessibility. The process of optimization has been developed in two stages. First, each organization appointed one teaching tandem (young ICT educator and one experienced senior (50+) educator) who took part in 3 Joint Staff Trainings , during which based on exchanged practices and knowledge, an educational model for local senior centers or libraries had been developed. Therefore, an innovative offer of ICT courses for seniors aiming at encouraging older people to participate in culture resources and cultural events using new technologies (e.g. accessing e-biooks, audio-books, visiting virtual museums, buying tickets online, creating and uploading content etc. ) was created. Simultanously so created teaching program was implemented, tested and adjusted during two cycles of ICT workshops for seniors in each country. The teaching tandems provided during the project a total of 198 hours of workshops for 105 seniors in four countries. Additionally, from among the participants of workshops 8 Digital Ambasadors were selected – people at the age of 60+ whose leadership and digital competences enabled us to include them into dissemination process and in some cases into the process of supporting the trainers in the teaching processes (they are now assisting he educators in further ICT courses for seniors) both during and after the termination of project activities. Digital Ambasadors, together with trainers and coordinators took part in Transnational Project meeting organized for the final part of the project in Wroclaw, Poland. The meeting was an occasion to invite wider audience to discuss the quality of ICT courses offered for seniors in local communities. It is worth saying that over 20 organizations from 4 sectors (science-business-NGO-authorities) were informally involved in the project.Excellent feedback from the participants of local works hops (100% “excellent” and “very good” responses for the question of quality and relevance of provided workshops) as well as local communities (project blog run by Digital Ambasador form Poland noted over 8 thousand visits) resulted in the decision of educators in Wroclaw to prepare and provide additional workshops for 22 persons teaching seniors ICT (including teaching staff from Public Library in Wrocław and Wroclaw’s Senior Centre). Moreover, due to dissemination processes the coordinating organization has received a declaration from local authorities (Municipality of Wroclaw) to provide financial means for further educational trainings for other people working as trainers in ICT courses for senior citizens in Wroclaw. Also, partner organizations from France and Czech republic declare that they are and will include teaching program created during the project into their everyday business , the organization from Italy is now with a great assistance of their Digital Ambassadors, creating senior community to which they would like to address the results of the project in the future. Taking into account unswerving interest of seniors who are willing to participate in further ICT courses and the involvement of several entities and institutions in the idea of improving educational offer for the elderly enables us to believe that the effects of 60+VirtualCulture will be long lasting and that they will reach much more beneficiaries in the future. Coordinating and participating organizations have agreed that they are ready for new challenges and are willing to continue their partnership by applying in Erasmus+ next year.
