Meidän kehittämämme prosessointityökalu tekee tiedon irrottamisen kaukokartoitusdatan aikasarjoista helpoksi, mikä on jo osoitettu pilottiprojekteissamme. Projektin tavoite on yhdessä yritysverkoston kanssa kehittää tutkimustulosta eteenpäin ja asiakaslähtöisesti parantaa prosessointipalvelun hyödyntämismahdollisuuksia.

The EULI project will advance in understanding how to represent this region by including dense measurements collected by satellites placed in low Earth orbits (LEO). Our primary goal is to enhance Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) by developing a unified mathematical expression of the ionosphere and plasmasphere. A detailed analysis will be conducted to improve positioning of mass-market GNSS receivers and satellite orbit determination, which are vital aspects for modern technology-driven societies. The new formulation is foreseen to also provide benefits in space weather forecasting and space physics, which holds particular importance in optimize resource and space exploitation.

The thinning density assistant technology concept works by detecting the trees around the harvester and suggesting a target number of trees to be left in the forest in order to reach an optimal thinning volume. However, the decision made by the harvester operator would be more accurate, if more knowledge of the standing trees were available. Thus, the core idea of the proposed project is to improve technologies related to the world-first thinning density assistant in order to be able to meet the requirement of various forest ecosystem services by two key technologies: by creating a detailed digital replica of forests before harvesting and by improved processing of the harvester MLS.
