FCT-Erasmus is an umbrella project implemented by the Regional Ministry of Education in Andalusia, the higher rank organization in charge of the official certification HE VET degree. The project is offered to the official HE VET students in their final school year in order to accomplish the compulsory in-companies work placements prior to certify their qualification framework as Advance Experts certificate. As a centralised Mobility project the Consortium is composed by the majority of ECHE institutions in Andalusia. 67 ECHE Chartered institutions have participated in this edition and 61 students from a large variety of VET branches have had the opportunity to do work placements in Europe and in many cases to find a job in the companies.By means of this project, Junta de Andalucia intends to establish the quality standards a mobility project needs and guarantee the success in the acquisition of the VET competencies a student need to accomplish in order to get his/her official degree and fulfil the positive assessment the student need to obtain which may lead them to certification. In this way, The General Directorate for Vocational Education, Training and Lifelong Learning provides support, training, tools for follow-up and partnership to the institutions in the Consortium for them to be trained for their future participation in Erasmus + annual Call for proposals. We must point out that the number of participants has been increased in this edition in 20 % from last year. Our offer is opened to the whole variety to the catalogue of certificates in Andalusia which goes up to 122 professional branches. In this editions we have had students from the following profiles: Administrative management; Analysis and Quality Control; Business Administration and Finance; Development of Computer Applications; International Trade; Telecommunications and Computer Systems; Pre-primary Education; Development and Implementation of Building projects; Conduct of Physical and sport activities in a Natural environment; Productions of Audiovisual programmes and shows among others.Project management procedures: Once the project is approved we contact the associated organizations in order to received the Interinstitutional Contracts and summonds them to a meeting to explain the procedures and the finantial management of it. The schools disseminate the approval of the project and developed the selection procedures according to the detailed description in the application form. Junta de Andalusia receives the applicants documents and supervises the candidates dossiers. Meanwhile, the schools sign the partnership agreements, learning agreements, the memorandums of understandings and the Erasmus commitment letters. Once the students have finished their theoretical subject and assessment. They get permission from the Ministry of Education after revising: Insurance, European health care card, information about accommodation organised by the schools together with their host institutions, flight booking, follow-up tool, assessment, official certification; financial issues; document revision, OLS, Mobility tool, etc.The project has been absolutely successful for students as the great majority of them have qualified and got their degrees, but a large number of them have been employed and continue their job in the same companies where they enjoyed their grants abroad. The impact of the Erasmus placements in Andalusia is easily measured and the results are being sent to our National Agency for analysis. This project is now running for more than ten years now in the former LLP and the Regional Ministry of Education in Andalusia intends to continue until 2020. , Anyway, still we have a large path ahead of us in order to reach the 450 HE VET schools and support them into their internationalisation strategy.

Since 2011 the Vocational School Papenburg (Berufsbildende Schulen Papenburg) has a very successful exchange of traineeships with the IES Puerta Oscura in Málaga. Each year we send apprentices in banking to Spain to train business conversation and conflict management in a foreign language and environment. During the last years we have learned that internships in stores, hotels and restaurants are best for these purposes as they offer the best opportunities to train these skills. The students have plenty of contacts with Spanish and foreign customers. After the three weeks training the inter-cultural abilities and the language skills have improved a lot. In 2014 we established a cooperation with the Finnish school RASEKO in Raisio. These two regions have increasing cooperations in shipbuilding and production of paper. To facilitate the work between these companies we want to offer apprentices in IT from these companies a traineeship in Finland. After the very positive feedback of participants of former exchanges. We decided to set up a project for dental nurses. This profession has changed a lot as they have more and more foreign clients. We have found a partner in Malta who will set up a one week language training and a two week internship for our students. In addition we want to offer apprentices in industrial management assistant to enhance their abilities handling business letter, telephone communication and e-mail correspondence in English. In addition these participants want to enhance their experience handling international trade and international transactions. We have found a partner GECKO Programmes Ltd. in Wolverhampton (England) and we are very much looking forward to develop this project further. We hope that all our projects will encourage even more of our students to welcome new inter-cultural experiences in Germany and abroad.

"""Who do we think we are?"" explored culture, stereotyped attitudes to migration and challenges intolerance of difference. ""Human beings cannot help but learn from the culture or cultures of the communities within which they grow up"" Renato Rosaldo (1993). Groups of up to 5 students and 2 teachers from a range of backgrounds and experiences from each participating school in UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Lithuania and Croatia, took part in transnational learning and transnational meetings in order to promote cultural and linguistic diversity. Our project addressed five themes:1) Who are the young people in your school community? Students collected and present data about how they describe themselves and conduct interviews in the local community to define their culture. 2) Who do we think ""they"" are? The participants identified groups from within and outside Europe in order learn more about the wider local community, challenge stereotypes about partner countries ie their established cultures and those of new arrivals.3) Each partner school presented how young people express themselves in art, music, language, faith, dress, interests and big issues and investigate ""What is the youth culture in your country?""4) Parents and the wider community were invited to contribute via interview and survey to ""Is youth culture in conflict with the wider society"" as students explored how their youth culture may conflict with adult culture in the partner country.5) Is there a shared culture? Students learned together about Europe, the EU and considered whether Europe has an identity crisis or is socially cohesive. With an over -arching theme of social inclusion, the project promoted positive attitudes to diversity. It provided groups of less advantaged young people with the chance to live and work alongside their peers in European schools and live with their families for short periods of time. It challenged their attitudes to family life, education, mobility and provided opportunities for engagement in the cultures of the local community of the host school. The participants learned more about their own community and culture as well as experiencing life within another culture during their transnational visit. By showcasing a broad range of European culture we enhanced skills and attitudes to equip young people to be work ready and live in a global community. We encouraged our students to appreciate the multiple cultures of Europe and overcome the obstacles and misunderstandings often resulting from lack of access to information and opportunity. Our project aimed to: overcome linguistic and national barriers and celebrate cultural diversity raise awareness and foster curiosity about others, encourage creative and innovative skills in young people and value learning. During the three year project, students accompanied by a teacher from each partner school took part in six transnational learning activities in UK, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Spain and Croatia. The teachers attended and contributed to four transnational planning and training meetings and had the opportunity to visit European schools, sharing ideas and teaching methodologies with their project peers and colleagues. Results will be available on the project website and on the Erasmus+ dissemination platform and resources including online survey templates, monitoring questionnaires, town guides, Euro Youth Culture passports, country presentations, a Euro Youth Culture Glossary and films and a photo gallery. These can be be available for use in other European institutions."

The students have plenty of contacts with Spanish and foreign customers. After the three weeks training the intercultural abilities and the language skills have improved a lot. After the very positive feedback of students and banks we decided to set up a second project for dental nurses. This profession has changed a lot as they have more and more foreign clients. We have found a partner in Malta (PARAGON Europe) who will set up a one week language training and a two week internship for our students. In 2014 a local shipyard (Meyer Werft) established a cooperation with a finish shipyard (Meyer Turku). Now we have two enterprises (UPM Nordland Papier + UPM-Kymmene Oyj) with daughter companies or mother companies in Finland. To facilitate the work between these companies we want to offer apprentices in IT from these companies a traineeship in Finland. We hope that all three projects will encourage even more of our students to welcome new intercultural experiences in Germany and abroad.
