A particular focus will be the preparation and implementation of European Universities Games 2018 and the inclusion of women, disabled people and people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We find that university sport in Slovenia and other European countries at present unfortunately still does not take sufficient account of the diversity of its users and does not do enough to encourage their active participation. Through participation in the project, EVS volunteers will assist in achieving greater organizational capacity of organizations working in the field of university sport, opening and diversifying recreational and competitive sports activities among students, finding good practices taking into account cultural, socio-economic and other characteristics. The project foresees the 8-month mobility and participation of two volunteers, a man and a woman from different countries. One volunteer will work more in the field of communications and education, while the other in the organization and development of sports programs and activities associated with them, on inclusion of wider spectrum of participants, especially female and people with disabilities. During the project volunteers will learn about the structure of university sport on a local level and in a broader European context and actively participated in the planning, organization and execution of several events; especially: - Seminar for European university organizations in Ljubljana; - EUSA General Assembly and Gala in Madrid; - European Universities Games in Coimbra; - smaller events by local partners in Ljubljana and other places in Slovenia. The project aims to open university sport and increase the number of participants from disadvantaged backgrounds, women and people with disabilities. The effect will be visible through the promotion activities as well as statistics of the participants at the events, particularly at the European Universities Games.

Young people are present on social networks without knowing how to behave, what details about life they can share and with whom they can hang. With this training course we opened the topic, gave skills and knowledge to youth workers or leaders how to prevent young people from digital violence and how to raise awareness in their local community about this issue. It was a 5 days training course that gathered 30 youth workers and leaders from Europe. The main aim of the training was to gain skills and knowledge how to prevent young people from digital violence. The training was from the 23 rd of March till the 29th of March in Belgrade, Serbia. Countries that participated in project are: Croatia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Albania, Russia, Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Estonia, FYRO Macedonia, UK, Norway, Germany and Serbia.Methodology used in the training was based on non formal education. We believe that non formal methodologies will get people more interactive and give them space to express themselves. The variety of methods have been used such as team work, individual work, team building games, energizers, exercise, fish bowl, presentation and open discussions. Participants also could propose some activity if they think that can improve the joint work. Video as a way of rising awareness on digital violence was present to the participants and all of them were directly involved by making a short video during the training. Results that we wanted to reach and that have firstly impact on participants and their local communities were to raise awareness about digital violence and how to safe themselves. There will be 15 follow up-events in each organization. That will bring project to the communities and also involve community in first informing and then acting with the topic digital violence. On the international level with this training we fostered cooperation and brought an European dimension in a non EU country. 30 participants gained skills and knowledge how to work with young people under the topic digital violence and sent a message by video to the rest of Europe about what is digital violence and how to prevent.

Nowadays it is vital for young people and youth organizations of civil society to grasp the operation of social media, not only because they represent free promotion tools of activities and projects, but also because they are now the most powerful tools that they activate communities behind a cause. The course presented to the participants the basics of communication, public speaking, influence, persuasion and rhetoric and how this applies to social media and how messages and values are transmitted to the general audience. The TC also addressed the sociology and psychology of mass communication, as well as analyzed the latest existing movements that have made extensive use of social media, which have proved to be essential for their success. The most important part of the TC realized strong practical elements and the transfer of knowledge, in which everything that has been learned during the sessions has been put into practice too, through the development of a media strategy (a different one for each working group) and its implementation under the support and the accompaniment of international and experienced trainers. In fact, the training course was aimed at youth workers, youth activists, members of youth organizations who may face difficulties in promoting their work and values among the general public, and who want to gain more knowledge of the phenomenon. The project, which was held in Sicily in Nicolosi, a small town at the foot of Mount Etna, has had a great impact on the participants' ability to reflect on the new dynamics that characterize the ""social media"" in Europe and, through the use of non formal learning methods, provided them with the skills and tools to approach them with confidence and creativity, so that they can fit in the many personal opportunities. For this reason, the TC has had a profound impact on the participants and gave a great contribution to: - develop bases and skills about communication, public communication, persuasion and rhetorical concepts and how they apply to social media; understand how messages and values are transmitted to the general public; - develop the skills and abilities of youth workers to support the active participation of young people in local communities through the use of tools and methodologies related to social media.- examine the possibilities the use of social media to encourage youth activism; - non-formal education reflect on his methods and the applicability of them in social networks; - develop creative and attractive ways to use social media to encourage 'youth activism, focusing civil commitment - to identify opportunities for the commitment of local communities into action; design and develop action plans for the use of social media in the local contexts. The training course, through activities based on non-formal learning methods, directly involved 32 youth workers from 16 countries (Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Kosovo, Lithuania, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain and Turkey) and lasted eight days, from 5th to October the 12th, 2016 (including travel days)."

The volunteers brought their cultural backgrounds and new input to the host projects and through their daily engagement, exchange between the volunteer and the staff as well as target groups of the host projects, but also local communities, was enabled. This exchange led to various positive impacts on everyone involved, as it, for example, offered a learning opportunity and the chance to gain or improve competences to them, and (self-)reflection was encouraged. The main objectives of the project were to: + promote peace through personal intercultural interaction and actively supported learning + create a better understanding and sensitivity towards other countries and cultures through voluntary activities of European EVS/ESC volunteers + fight racism, xenophobia and intolerance through intercultural exchanges + raise awareness for the European dimension + receive new inputs and broaden the organisational horizon + support the learning of foreign languages + strengthen partnerships through a concrete volunteer activity among the involved organisations + support and give recognition to social institutions working with less privileged people, in particular youngsters with fewer opportunities + support innovative ways of learning + promote volunteering as an added value within society+ offer a learning opportunity and chance for personal development to European youngsters The project was coordinated by Grenzenlos within the frame of the MELANGE program. The MELANGE program is the former Erasmus+, now ESC volunteering program for volunteering projects in Vienna in close cooperation with wienXtra - jugendinfo in behalf of the city of Vienna. Within the program the volunteers and host projects are supported and connected in order to get to know each other, share experiences and, simply, to have an enriching time. Within MELANGE several free time activities and cultural events for current and former volunteers were organized by Grenzenlos. Through the implemented volunteering activities in the host organizations and the complementary/additional activities offered by Grenzenlos through the MELANGE program the objectives of the project could be reached to a great extent and impacts on both local and international, as well as personal and organizational levels were achieved.
