The main objective of PC&M is: • To introduce a different approach on coaching & mentoring fewer opportunity youngsters The main objective can be separated in six aims: • To train 32 youth workers on how to coach & mentor fewer opportunity youngsters • To let youth workers and youth organisations define their own coaching method and approach towards inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities • To improve the quality of 12 youth organisations in the way how they work with youngsters • To create agogic working methods and implement them while coaching & mentoring young people with fewer opportunities • To disseminate and spread the outcomes of PC&M through mentoring youngsters in realizing a project • To disseminate and spread coaching, mentoring and its methodologically approach' through a coaching manual PC&M improved the skills and competences of 32 youth workers and youth organisations coming from: Greece, Czech, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, and Netherlands. All participating youth workers in the training activity are working with youngsters in their community and organisation. The youth workers and youth organisations improved themselves when it comes to coach and mentor youngsters with fewer opportunities in a more effective and productive way which enables these youngsters to be engaged, challenged, motivated and invited to be included in society. The training activity happened between 10/01/2019 (arrival day) and 18/01/2019 (departure day). Training venue: Olde Vechte, Ommen, The Netherlands The main methods used in PC&M is to show and let youth workers experience/practice a variety of coaching & mentoring techniques out of which they can distill what can be implemented in the target group they work with. PC&M consisted of 4 stages: • Preparation - youth workers defined the community and target group in which they are working • Training • Post-training - learnt material and techniques in PC&M were practiced and implemented back home through coaching sessions and a workshop • Dissemination & evaluation - spreading of tangible results and evaluation of the created impact through PC&M As an outcome of PC&M there is: 1) a research which defined the own cultural map in which the youth worker and youth organisation is working 2) coaching sessions with young people with fewer opportunities in which they are engaged to participate in society 3) a workshop to let the participating youth workers train other youth workers, volunteers, members of the organisation, etc. on coaching & mentoring 4) a manual which describes 'Coaching & Mentoring' which is spread and disseminated The long-term benefits of PC&M is the quality improvement of local, national and international projects regarding youth work and specifically the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.

It provides children with the experience of learning, in a welcoming environment, through the development of imagination and creativity. The decision of involving international volunteers living during 12 month in the Russian Waldrof Kindergartens’ activities is aimed at giving children the opportunity to grow up in an multicultural environment, where they could learn to be tolerant, respectful and curious towards people coming from different Countries, speaking different languages, sharing their cultures and raising awareness of European citizenship. The participation of the volunteer in this project has improved his skills and has provided him with new competences supporting the staff in the everyday activities, working with children applying the Waldrof method, organizing leisure time activities and developing his own project. The project has been supported by 3 entities: the coordinating/sending organization “ColectivoGentes”, the hosting organization “Municipal Infant Educational Institution Waldorf Kindergarten” and the support organization “Lastochki”. The participant, Gorka Gonzalez, at the beginning of the project was aged 26. He had great artistic abilities, previous volunteering experience in working with children and an advanced knowledge of the Russian language: these elements sufficed to validate his participation in this EVS project. The Kindergarten’s staff has supported the volunteer bearing in mind his abilities, helping him to develope his proper way of working. What the kindergarten asks is to follow the tasks as the time schedule fix them, in order to guarantee to children their daily routine. The desired impact that the volunteer will live in a multicultural environment, learning a new culture, practicing the Russian language, developing new skills and competences within the Waldrof Educational Method has been reached. Children have learnt to deal with a foreigner, getting used to live in a multicultural context; the staff members have learnt from the volunteer different teaching methods and practices. The volunteer has spread the Spanish culture between Russians and the concept of European Citizenship. The learning process and the acquired knowledge have been officially recognized thanks to the YouthPass certificate.

In September 2013, Terres d'enfance has opened a school in Die (Drôme) for children aged from 3 to 6. The school is based on Montessori pedagogy and environmental education. We would like to host a spanish volunteer, Luisa Bermejo Albacete. We wish to enhance the daily life at school by bringing a cultural and linguistic diversity. We wish that the school can be an appropriate place for non-formal learnings by hosting EVS volunteers. The volunteer is integrated into the teaching team. The work consists in accompanying children in their learnings. The main themes are the needs of 3 to 6 aged children, discovering / deepening Montessori pedagogy and environmental education. The EVS would last for 10 months, from the 1rst September 2014 up to the 1rst July 2015.The carried out activities are many and varied : morning welcome of children and preparation of the Montessori class, care of children, garden, handicrafts, arts, music, cooking, yoga, etc. With the agreement of the school team, the volunteer can develop her own projects, according to her competences, her personal and professional wishes. For example : activities in Spanish (rhymes, songs, cooking, handicraft, garden, etc), create communication medium about EVS, make an intercultural event for local people about youth and european mobility. The working methods among the organisation are active participation, dialogue, experiment and results' assessment. We wish in this way that Luisa can gain skills, knowledge and attitudes that help her to become mature and blossom on personal, citizen and professional levels. We also wish to build a strong, rich and long partnership with the organization GENTES. And of course, we hope that children and their relatives will grow interest and tolerance towards foreign people, see people differences like wealth, develop a European identity, feel that they belong to a world full of cultures and languages.

We gave a push to these young people to become independent and active citizens. We wanted them to use their potential which can bring its energy, power and inspiration to the shores of European society. The objectives of Wider Horizon were: 1. Increase the EVS mobilities of YPFO who never participated in any kind of European projects; 2. Create a safe and healthy environment where 30 YPFO can develop a structured daily routine; 3. Develop the employability and working skills of 30 YFPO by volunteering in the local community; 4. Develop a sense of European citizenship through living in an international community; 5. Get acquainted with the Dutch culture and its values through volunteering in local organisations 6. Promote Erasmus+ and youth volunteering. Wider Horizon involved in total 30 participants coming from 14 different countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Macedonia. Wider Horizon consisted of a two groups doing a short-term EVS period, one group of 15 persons between 28/02/2018 - 27/04/2018 and one group of 15 persons between 02/05/2018 - 29/06/2018.During their EVS placement the participants did voluntary work at local and regional organisations in and around Ommen such as farms, pet shelters, camping sites, second-hand shops. Every Wednesday we had mentor meetings with the entire group and individually. Also workshops were organised on the Wednesdays to support their learning process. We used experimental learning, informal learning, intercultural learning and media as tool. The main results out of Wider Horizon are: • Increased inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities by creating a total of 30 mobilities; • The volunteers developed their social skills and their sense of European citizenship by living in an international community; • Increased the employability of the volunteers by working 4 days/week with local organisations; • Increased their capacity for being autonomous through a daily routine and managing their budget on a weekly basis; • Developed or increased daily life skills: cooking, shopping, going to work on their own, dressing according to the weather; • Organized, at least, 1 event for promoting EVS and volunteering by the participants in their countries; • Create 1 info pack about Erasmus+ especially designed for the target group; • Strengthened the network of youth organisations working with this target group; • Increased the visibility of the work done with the target group at local, national and European level. The long-term benefits of Wider Horizon are: • A swift on the accessibility of young people with fewer opportunities into “normal” opportunities, leading to empowerment and proactivity and more participation in society; • More inclusive projects in Erasmus+; • Growth and strengthening of youth organisations working in this field and expanding their network; • Reduced discrimination in all its forms, leading to a more cohesive European society • Bringing EVS and Erasmus+ closer to the core values of inclusion and equity that European Union and its society stand for.
