Future Narratives is a strategic partnership supporting innovation in the field of youth. It is addressed to youth workers and to young people aged 18-30 years old, particularly those from migrant or disadvantaged backgrounds. The general objectives of the project are: to support capacity building for the youth workers; to promote the importance of young people's awareness in common values, civic engagement and participation, fostering their empowerment; to promote dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation between young European people. The project will last 24 months and will reach these general objectives introducing youth workers and young people to the concept of “Futures Literacy”. The concept of Futures Literacy has been developed since 2012 by the UNESCO, seeking to understand “the frames people use to understand tomorrow.” The project will use storytelling as the key heuristic to activate the capacity to reflect on the past, the present and the future and to recognise different approaches to them and their interpretation, thus fostering the understanding of the power of culture, stories and visions in enabling a better future. This understanding will give participants not only the tools to work on a vision for themselves and for their community, but will also develop key competences such as cultural understanding, critical thinking, social media literacy, communication and active participation in civic and social life. The partnership is composed of Traces&Dreams, as Applicant and the young adults training center Möjligheternas Plats, from Sweden; Andalucia Agoce, Federation for the promotion of integration and interculturality, from Spain; Inter Alia, not-for-profit organisation in the field of education and youth, from Greece; Machart, youth training center, from Germany; Euro Project Lab, a company for European Project Management from Italy.Future Narratives is therefore the result of the collaboration between Traces&Dreams, expert in the development of paths and contents oriented towards the promotion of digital literacy, narratives and storytelling, and European organizations that work closely with young people who often find themselves in disadvantaged conditions, caused by structural inequalities, stereotypes, lack of inclusion, fewer opportunities. The specific objectives of the project can be identified as follows:•To provide youth workers with tools aimed at promoting young people’s key competences and active participation to civic and social life thanks to Futures Literacy;•To enhance young people's key competences, with a particular focus on literacy; personal, social and learning to learn; digital; citizenship; cultural Cultural awareness and expression;•To engage, connect, empower young people thanks to Futures Literacy, enabling their voice and their vision to reach out policy-makers, public administrations, civil society and other young people all over Europe. The specific objectives thus identified will be achieved through the following activities:1)A Short-term joint staff training event (C1) for youth workers, engaging all partner organisation. The training will enable project partners to commonly identify the needs of the young participants of the project and to exchange their experience and approaches;2)The realisation of European Guidelines for the innovative use of narrative and storytelling in the empowerment of young people (IO1). This Intellectual Output will allow dialogue between partner organisations and experts in the fields of narrative, storytelling, and Futures Literacy in order to systematize the tools and the methodological approach of Future Narratives. This methodological framework will then be modelled into Guidelines transferable at European level;3)A Digital Platform (IO2), which will: 1) collect and disseminate the project results and digital contents throughout the project, 2) enable an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach to Future storytelling, 3) connect and reach out young people all over Europe;4)The experimentation of Future Narratives approach with young people through: 1) Future Narratives informal innovative pathways (IO3); 2) a series of Transnational Workshops in Spain, Greece, Germany and Sweden addressed to young participants (C2-C5).5)The dissemination of the project through several Multiplier Events (E1-E3) and a final, highly transferable, Multiplier Event (E4) intended as a Future Narrative Exhibition online and offline (in Sweden). 6)The monitoring and evaluation of project’s results. Thanks to these activities the project ultimately aims to reach young people and youth organisations across Europe in order promote the importance of giving visibility to youth aspirations, desires and visions for the future, thus enhancing young people’s participation and engagement in shaping the Europe of tomorrow.

“DECIDE.TE: Structured Dialogue for Citizenship, Interculturality, Diversity and Employability through youth participation” is a structured dialogue project coordinated by Fundación Pioneros (La Rioja) in cooperation with Federación Andalucía Acoge (Andalusie), Asociación Juvenil y Cultural Kaua (Canarias) and Fundación Marianao (Catalonia) that receives the support of the municipalities of Logroño, Huelva, San Cristóbal de La Laguna and Sant Boi de Llobregat. The main aim of this initiative funded under the Key Action 3 of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission is to create an interregional cooperation among Spanish organisations interested on exploring the participation systems of their municipalities and improve them through an exchange of good practices and the empowerment on their youth on active citizenship. According to this, DECIDE.TE aims not only to increase the quality of the current youth policies in Spain at local or regional level, but also to develop synergies among private and public organisations involved on them that could promote national initiatives to influence different social groups. This will make possible to strengthen the youth participation by encouraging those processes that invite young people (especially those at risk of exclusion) to become real strategic actors of the development and not only receivers of projects. To make youth more participative supposes to sow an active, responsible, critic and compromised citizenship in a social and culturally diverse environment. Using non formal methodologies, DECIDE.TE will implement different local activities, youth assemblies and meetings with political representatives that will finalize with a seminar about structured dialogue in La Rioja. This 5-day work meeting will allow developing in a cooperative way among youth, third sector and municipalities, different proposals and concrete actions on the participating townships focused on improving the citizenship of their youth and providing them a critic and constructive thinking of their realities. This seminar will be also used to achieve an interaction among professionals of the youth sector on different regions meanwhile their youngest members are trained on horizontal issues related to the democratic and inclusive development of societies (Ex. Gender, diversity, interculturality, community thinking, etc.). This big activity will also include group dynamics that will not only allow its participants to get to know the culture and traditions of their townships, but also to discover funding opportunities for intercultural actions such as the Erasmus+ programme. Besides this, DECIDE.TE will also develop a visibility and dissemination system that will make possible to collect all the project results and ensure its access online for those who could not join the project. According to all of this, the project partnership expects to achieve a cooperation among regions that could influence the construction of a renovated framework for youth policies and improve the current structures for youth participation existing in Spain.

"Our Project ""DualVet partners in Europe"" arose due to the detected need to adapt the Vocational Training Systems in Italy and Spain to greater ""work-based learning"". For that purpose, we counted on the experience of our German partners who are adapting for years the vocational training to the needs of the labor market. Indeed, the apprentices benefit of a training combining the school and the company. The Project has had a high institutional draft. We knew that to achieve the objectives of our Good Practice Exchange Project, we had to involve local and regional Public Administrations. They are the biggest and best not only multipliers, but also decision-makers to improve and adapt the vocational training system in Italy and Spain. The actions, activities and meetings carried out have made it possible to achieve the following objectives:1. Cooperation between all vocational training providers has been encouraged. This has been achieved through the training and learning activities where we have managed to connect business representatives with schools and public education administrations. Transnational meetings have also served to involve.2. Companies have been encouraged to become more involved in training. This has been done not only with the partner companies of the Project but also with others who have participated in the training and apprenticeship activities. They have been trained in how to incorporate new forms of monitoring and evaluation for apprentices. This has been explained by experts in the field who have been or are tutors in German companies.3. In order to realize a real duality of learning, companies and schools have been taught how to design Training Programmes in a coordinated way. They have also been informed how teachers update their knowledge through the collaboration of companies.4. The training of apprentices in companies and schools has been carried out by informing about the requirements and regulations that the Hannover Chamber of Commerce in Germany applies in the training and accreditation of tutors and the training companies. For the diffusion of all the actions carried out during the Project,We have had important media at the regional level, dedicating even television and radio programs to our Project, in addition to appearing on important web pages in the field of vocational training in the three partner countries of the project, which has allowed the scope to be greater than that foreseen in the Project Application. All this training that the partners have received has been applied in the design of Training Plans concerning the Dual Vocational Training in Italy and Spain. These Plans have been designed so that they can be implemented and we have presented them in Italy to the Department for Training and Equal Opportunities in Campania, in order to obtain the five-year technical diploma in Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy plus the Certificate of skills of the Mechanical Operator (EQF 4).In Spain it has been presented the possibility of carrying out a Pilot Experience with the Design of a Training Plan of three years with contracts of training and learning of the specialty of ""Logistics and Transport"" to the current Andalusian Government, in particular the Directorate-General for Vocational Training of the Ministry of Education. This Experience would be supported and advised by German experts in both the business and educational fields. The training plans of ""Logistics and Transport"" and "" Mechanics "" have been tested and have therefore been modified by professional training agents of Germany, Italy and Spain who have participated and have been involved in learning, teaching and training activities and transnational meetings held during the 24 months of the Project. The impact that has been achieved is as important as the beginning of the first steps so that in a region like Andalusia there will be the will to reach an agreement with Ministries of Lower Saxony in Germany and thus implement the necessary steps to receive advice and make the necessary adaptations in the current Vocational Training in Andalusia. This project will therefore be continued by the joint actions that will continue to be carried out safely between Andalusia and Lower Saxony and possible between the region of Campania and Lower Saxony, and also because a new Erasmus+ KA202 Project has been approved, led and coordinated by a Public Vocational Training School in Andalusia, where tools to measure quality in the Dual Vocational Training in Spain and Italy are to be designed and analyzed."

"The project addresses the situation of prisons in the partner countries:Italy,Portugal,Spain, France. The common problems found in all partner countries are overcrowding, undersized staff, lack of constant training, lack of activities aimed at recovering self-awareness and self-esteem, lack of family relationships. The problem of social reintegration is exacerbated by the presence of foreign prisoners, often without the support of their families outside the prison and with great difficulties in terms of communication and understanding prison rules, so they often remain alone in their island and do not participate in the activities. With respect to the priorities analysed, we focused on the objectives described in the initial phase of the project: -Promote development to the problem of detention and execution of the sentence by acting proactively, supporting the person/citizen in such a delicate phase of the path to social reintegration through theatre therapy and other cultural activities that strengthen self-esteem. -Activate a process aimed at rebuilding an in-out community capable of facing the impact with greater awareness. Experiment with prevention-oriented actions and interventions for adolescent children in situations of fragility and ""social"" risk. -To provide linguistic and cultural mediation to guarantee equal rights to prisoners and their families.Participants in the project were inmates of the ""protected"" pavilion in Italy and Portugal: protected prisoners have long sentences resulting from sexual violence in the family and on minors, they must be ""protected"" from other prisoners who inflict even serious punitive acts on them. In France, the beneficiaries of the project were inmates with minor sentences who could continue the theatrical path outside with the Theatre de l'Opprimè; the Spanish partner contributed above all with an in-depth legal analysis of the prison situations in the partner countries and a comparison of the penitentiary rules and their application, thanks to this joint work and to the great professionalism and availability of the Administration of Pavia and Dr. Rossin who collected all the data i, We could publish the manual ""Utopia"". The number of inmates participating in the activities was not always constant, due to transfers from one prison to another for various reasons (family reunification, expulsion to the country of origin, anti-social behaviour...), but especially due to the pandemic, which prevented the constant running of activities and workshops for several months and led to a cyclical turnover of participants. A total of about 100 inmates participated in the drama and creative laboratories.A difficulty was also encountered in the participation of prison officers and operators in the educational area in the training course, which always focused mainly on the re-educational and non-punitive purpose of punishment, due to the undersized staff and the work shifts exacerbated by the pandemic, which did not allow for continuous presence. .In spite of this, there is a better and more peaceful relationship between the prisoners and the prison staff, who were made more aware of the importance of their work and how, improving the quality of their work, improved the behaviour of the prisoners. Another area of training concerned cultural-linguistic mediation, given the strong presence of detainees from non-EU countries (48%), especially from the Arabic-speaking area with which the greatest problems arise. After the specific training the Pavia prison requested a monthly presence of Mediators from the areas most present in the prison. This choice made it possible to reduce linguistic discomfort within the institutions, both as regards relations between prisoners and between foreign prisoners, prison workers and lawyers. The various theatrical and creative activities described and experimented during the project proved to be fundamental in expanding mutual knowledge and activating new approaches that can be used in future projects related to the world of detention: the theatre therapy conducted in Pavia by Stefania Grossi, Augusto Boal's Forum Theatre coordinated by Rui Frati in Paris, the Social Theatre conducted by Febronia Espada in Sintra. The impact on the participants was monitored in itinere by means of questionnaires, highlighting excellent results in terms of psychophysical well-being and improved relational skills. As far as management, are concerned, Each Association was responsible from the local point of view, about Communication and dissemination while the lead agency was responsible for reporting and general communication and of the final reports. The results of the comparisons in the artistic and legal fields are summarized in the specific guide which was printed in 4 languages and distributed."

CONTEXT/BACKGROUNDCommunities are usually defined as an aggregation of people that share common traits. These can be nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, belief system, geographical location, common interests, work sector etc. Regardless of the reason for the aggregation, we know that communities are important for humans, in fact they play a vital role in the well-being of human beings. As the popular saying goes, no person is an island to which we can also add that no person is a house without doors or windows, meaning that there is usually a way to connect with someone at some level. Given their importance, communities have the power and potential to bring people together and to act as tools of social inclusion for people that are usually marginalised. In today’s world, the digital innovations and the challenges of globalisation have changed the fabric of society forever. It is becoming rarer and rarer for people to be in touch with their local communities and to create networks that are both local and offline. Often there is a gap, something that is missing. It is common to hear people say things like “we don’t talk with our neighbours anymore” and to lament isolation and loneliness as prevailing traits on today’s global society. There is a need for community spaces and activities that can help people connect and build networks in their local communities. This need is very present in big metropolis but it also very relevant for rural areas.OBJECTIVESWe believe that education and skill enhancement can help fight these trends and that is why this project aims to address the needs of communities in Europe through the training, education, and empowerment of community workers. The people that will take part in the project and benefit from the project’s intellectual outputs will enhance their skills and employability and in turn enhance the social inclusion, skills, and employability of the people they will train, involve in their activities, and come in contact with thus creating a virtuous circle of empowerment. This project has the potential to impact not only community workers and existing communities but also to help people create community spaces and activities.PARTICIPANTSThe target group of this project is community workers and stakeholders in community engagement and development. In the framework of the project we define this group as individuals or organisations that work for the well-being and development of local communities. These can be charities, NGOs, religious institutions, theatres, local organisations, local government, schools, community centres, educational institutions, cultural associations, Community Interest Companies, networks, social cooperatives etc. . The people that will be involved in the project will be people that work at different levels in these organisation as volunteers, employees, managers, mentors and directors.ACTIVITIESThe project activities will be:- The development of 3 Intellectual outputs: needs analysis, material for the target group, and an online platform for the upskilling of the target group.- 1 International training activity in Greece- 3 Multiplier events- 1 local event in each of the participating countries- Dissemination activities such as project website and social mediaMETHODOLOGYThe project will rely on a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods for the research of intellectual output 1 and for the evaluation of the project activities.
