Inequality, discrimination, violation of fundamental rights, these are all hot topics in our current societies. In this world of globalization and exclusion, young people from Europe and Latin America are facing the same challenges: lack of opportunities no matter which context they come from, institutional violence due to the absence of a real public policy for young people; budget cuts to projects, youth areas or youth councils; absence of guarantee of basic human rights such as health or education; and high percentage of stigmatization sometimes just because the condition of being young. In order to have a more equitable society we need to be able to plan effective answers to the needs of vulnerable groups and to the differences provoked by geographic and socioeconomic inequalities. AYNI has been conceived as a cooperation between Europe and Latin America to share good practices, extrapolate existing models, enrich knowledge and qualify youth organizations to develop a more effective work at local, regional and international levels. One of our main aims consisted in spreading the model of European values beyond its limits, strengthening historical collaboration between youth platforms. Also, to reinforce competences of organizations and councils and to improve youth policies, combining European experience in political advocacy with the “freshness”, the know-how and the innovation of Latin American projects. The Project was carried out from the 1st July 2017 to the 31st July 2018. It counted with the participation of: Spanish Youth Council (CJE), Portuguese Youth Council (CNJ), Mirim Brasil, Grupo Génesis Panamá Positivo, APDENA (Argentina), Cauce Ciudadano Asociación Civil (Mexico). "The current project focused on enhancing the effectiveness of civic education through optimal use of available educational resources with open access, innovative pedagogical methods coupled with the ever-increasing opportunities created by the technological boom of information and communication technologies. This ensemble of specific objectives has helped the civic education system and raised the level of stakeholder engagement. Innovative educational products and methodologies have improved the quality and efficiency of youth work. They stimulate the raising of the civic education level of the group of young people with high civic activity. The collection and blending of educational resources with free access from different countries to partners and the use of advanced and modern information and communication solutions was a very good basis for cross-border and pan-European impact of project outcomes. In the frame of project have been made three innovative intellectual products of major importance for the development of civic education were created within the project: "" Videoblog - European civic education "", mobile application"" CIVICEDU "", virtual business game on civic education"" E-CIVIC "". For the development of innovative educational products, a controversial analysis of free-access civil education resources, published on the Internet, text, audio and video formats, was conducted . The survey was conducted under the direction of NMF in the global Internet space and worldwide video sharing sites. The project partners have organized and led the conduct of such a survey in the relevant national Internet sites and relevant national and specialized sites and portals. A joint workshop focused on discussing, evaluating and identifying the complex of resources for inclusion in the Internet and mobile applications. The technological design of innovative products was assigned to the technical experts involved in the creation team. The innovative products developed were implemented in the curriculum of the Academy of Civic Education at the NMF. Specialized training courses for youth workers in the field of civic education were organized to familiarize them with the possibilities of the products created within the project. The dissemination of the project results took the form of an information-advocacy campaign that culminated in a conference. The participating partners had the opportunity to get acquainted with all the possibilities of the newly created educational tools. This has contributed to their easy and relatively rapid implementation in the specific activities and practices of these organizations. Utilizing optimally the capabilities of newly created innovative educational products, they shared their experience with other related organizations and thus expanded the impact of project outcomes. Each partner organization organized a methodological center for increasing the impact of results in the country concerned. The first target group - youth workers in the field of civic education, expanded its potential and opportunities to work with a larger group of young people using the new tools for distance learning, the Internet and the mobile application. I had the opportunity to communicate with larger groups of young people and thus to increase their capacity. The group of youths engaged in civic activity received the largest share of all the benefits of the project results. Through the newly created educational products they have increased their social activity and actively defended their civic positions in a wider circle of young people and a larger audience of stakeholders on the relevant social issue."

<< Background >>The overall aim of this project is to foster youth engagement and youth participation by mapping the implementation of European Youth Goals in European and national policy contexts, identifying participation methods and creating training curricula for practitioners and policy makers to transfer this knowledge into practice. This link between research, policy and practice will contribute to the successful implementation of the European Youth Strategy (2019-2027). By choosing the European Youth Goals (EYGs) as the overarching framework of the project we are responding to the wants and needs of almost 50.000 young people who actively contributed to their creation. The partner consortium of this project includes 4 national youth councils that have had the role of coordinator of the European Youth Dialogue process in their countries, and what each partner noticed within its national and European context is that the weakest point of the EUYD process is its implementation. As EYGs are one of the outcomes of the EUYD process, we want to accelerate their implementation through our project objectives. Findings from this project, although useful in one country, could have real impact only if they are transnational, especially in the context of the trio presidencies. Also, as a National youth council we all have member organisations that are active on local and or regional level, which means that there is great potential to gather different practises but also great opportunity to disseminate the results to people and institutions that can use them. Thus, we have a strategic and political interest to work on ways to improve implementation of the Youth goals both on European level and in our respective countries.<< Objectives >>First objective of our project is to provide National working groups members and other stakeholders as well as decision makers, on all levels from local to European with existing knowledge on implementation of the Youth Goals. First objective is focused on the “what” while the second is looking to answer the question “how”. Our second objective is to support and encourage meaningful youth participation by providing participation tools gathered in one place. By developing 4 training curriculas, our third objective is to create all the necessary preparation work for any youth organisation or institution to transfer the knowledge of both implementation and youth participation in regard to the Youth Goals.<< Implementation >>To accomplish the first objective, we will map and research examples and policy practices from different EU countries as well as research EU policy level on EYGs implementation, after which we will jointly create recommendations to improve EYGs implementation at national and European level. Partner Ondrej Barta will conduct preparation work and analyze data provided by research and information from each partner in the consortium for the production of project result 2/IO2. All of these different examples and practices are needed to ensure a large variety of successful practices out of which ten would be translated into case studies. Barta will summarize all findings in one cookbook that would be reflected and commented on by all partners prior to publishing it. To fulfil the final objective it isn’t enough to just deliver IO3, the training curricula, but also to test it in practice thus making it useful for youth organizations, young people and decision makers. First step to that goal is for all partners to discuss what kind of training curricula they’d find useful and based on that input as well as results from IO1 and IO2, Dypall would produce that curricula. Besides discussing it inside a partnership consortium it would be tested via LTT activities on different target groups to see how useful/successful it is and where there are opportunities for improvement.<< Results >>In order to achieve the first objective we will provide concrete examples of EYG implementation by gathering in one publication good practice examples and creating recommendations and conclusions. Our second objective will be achieved through the creation of a “Cookbook of youth political participation” which will be developed based on a combination of theoretical research background and 10 case studies of successful youth participation. After that, we will combine the first two project results and make them easier to share and transfer knowledge on how to use them through designing and testing training curriculums for different target groups. To ensure that we created something useful, we will test that method on different stakeholders and actors in the field of youth policy like representatives of national youth councils, youth organisations (both national and international) as well as decision makers and individual young people (EU Youth Dialogue Ambassadors), after which we will incorporate the results of the evaluation obtained through testing into the training curricula and further disseminate them.

"With the process of formulating a common visionary set of European Youth Goals (EYGs) through the Structured Dialogue process 2017/18 a powerful instrument has been created which enables actors in the field to direct actions and measures towards this shared goals across different policy levels, from local to European, as well as across different policy sectors, e.g. health, employment, environment. With this project ""Youth Goals Laboratory"" a consortium of National Youth Councils together with two research partners contributed to more effective youth policies at the European, national and regional level. The partners will promote the use of the EYGs in order to empower regional-national-EU level decision makers and multipliers as well as young people and youth representatives to achieve progress towards those goals. The project combines research and practical approaches at different policy levels. Thus, it goes beyond the level of implementation of the EU Youth Dialogue and explores structures and patterns behind the implementation level. Three intellectual outputs show how the search for, use and exploitation of indicators based on the Youth Goals could work. Furthermore, the EU Youth Dialogue was used as an example to show how Youth Goals can be better anchored in the work at national and regional level. In addition a new Toolbox was developed around the Youth Goals. Results of the project can be seen here: www.youth-goals.eu/lab"
