The paradigm consists in facilitating the specification and scalable execution of data enrichment pipelines, with a focus on supporting various data enrichment operations such as discovery, understanding, selection, cleaning, transformation, integration of Big Data from a variety of sources. enRichMyData makes this paradigm easily accessible to a wide set of large and small organizations that encounter difficulties in the process of delivering suitable data to feed their data analytics solutions due to the lack of suitable tools and expertise to support cost- effective and energy-efficient management of data enrichment pipelines. enRichMyData delivers a software toolbox consisting of tools and infrastructure services for setting-up, deploying, executing and managing data enrichment pipelines. The main exploitation targets the operation and monetization of the toolbox primarily in European markets. enRichMyData validates its plan through a strong selection of complementary business cases offered by commercially- focused organizations targeting development of novel products in a wide range of domains, including digital marketing, Industry 4.0, medical devices maintenance, public procurement, innovation ecosystems, and mineral processing. The balanced consortium consists of 13 partners from 11 countries. With a mixture of R&D/technology providers and business case providers, enRichMyData gathers five large companies, three SMEs, two research institutes, and three universities.

This requires advanced automation and intelligence of the continuum. At the same time, recent breakthroughs in AI research have shown unprecedented intelligence to handle creative tasks. Such human-like intelligence will eventually disrupt how people use the cloud and continuum. INTEND aims at bringing such human-like intelligence into the cognitive continuum, to achieve the novel concept of intent-based data operation, which is capable of: (1) continually learning how to manage and adapt heterogeneous cloud/edge resources for more efficient data processing, (2) strategic decision making across the decentralized continuum for end-to-end data security and sustainability, and (3) human-friendly interaction with data stakeholders in natural language, for effective and trustworthy human-entric data operation. To achieve this ambitious objective, INTEND builds a strong consortium of world-class AI researchers and leading companies that cover the complete supply chain of the computing continuum. The project will deliver 11 novel software tools, which integrate into an INTEND toolbox. The approach and the tools will be tested and validated on 5 vertical domains, to achieve the novel intent-based data operation for video streaming pipelines, machine data platform, 5G data infrastructure, urban data space, and robotic AI applications. An open platform will be provided to support the extension with new hardware, management tools and AI models into the cognitive continuum. The outputs pave the way of migrating EU's data industry from cloud to the continuum, and implements EC's strategy of human-centric AI in the domain of data processing and computing continuum.

Thanks to an innovative cloud agnostic product, SafeScale that is already operational on Copernicus RUS project led by CSSI, users and service providers on top of SnapEarth will benefit, in a transparent way, from processing platforms and data collections provided by any of the future C-DIAS and any cloud provider. This cloud brokering solution is providing a performant, cost effective environment, also protecting their investment, for the future third parties which are building their own services. The major breakthrough of SnapEarth comes with a new data analytics service, EarthSignature, which aims to automatically extract semantic information from satellite imagery. The extracted semantic information will be indexed by QWANT search engine and then be easily accessible to a wide range of user communities. EO experts and third parties will be able to train deep learning processing chains using their database of labelled EO images. The database will be near real time enriched. Therefore, SnapEarth allows the market move from analysing EO Big Data towards realizing Fast Data. It makes possible to buy basic imagery analysis as a commodity – much like we buy foundation data today. Several user communities are ready to engage in this new approach. SnapEarth proposes already several pilots projects. The first one (EarthSearch) will boost QWANT number of users through access to this wealth of data through natural language. The second one (EarthPress) involves press users who are very interested having contextual data linked to news. The following ones are linked to several EO vertical markets: EarthClimate, Agri, and Food. The last one EarthSelf-service is dedicated to professional third parties in the same model of the DIAS but ensuring independence.
