Testing – Discovering – Learning 2.0” was a youth exchange involving 30 young people coming from 5 countries: Belgium, Albania, Greece, Italy and Spain. It took place in Molenbeek-Saint Jean (Brussels) from the 30th of July until the 5th of August 2015.This exchange was a follow up of the first Intermundia youth exchange that took place in Brussels in September 2014 involving four different countries. The network that Intermundia has developed with partner associations met in different projects in 2014, had the idea to implement a “2.0 version” of the first project. The main topic of the exchange was the intercultural learning and the fight against cultural prejudices through food and eating habits. It includes reflecting upon the connection between the eating habits and health. Participants identified differences and similarities among traditional food cultures within the involved countries. The activities consist in sharing food culture (receipts, traditional dishes, and usual ingredients) with the other participants and reflect on the similarities and differences of every country’s culture. Participants discovered more about the other countries through workshops and non-formal education activities aiming at overcoming barriers and prejudices among them. The participants had the opportunity to learn more about using leftovers, nutrition, recycling and environmental issues and they created videos on seasonal food, mixing cultures in the kitchen, interviews with locals. The Brussels’ branch of the Slow Food Youth Network, an international network of young people who bring about changes in the field of food production and consumption, actively collaborated in the project, as they did in the previous edition.

At the same time policy-makers, responsible to shape youth policies, need more informations about the extent and the dimension of these problems. MEET seeks to create a link between them in order to discuss about these issues and find potential solutions to improve interns' conditions. Thanks to the large number of interns hosted and placed by the partner organizations, the consortium developed the following steps, so as to make possible the dialogue between the young people and Policy Makers within the framework of the Structured Dialogue:- Preparation Activities (online debate). With the changing of the partner, Ecepaa's platform, thanks to the coordination of CISPoC, has been the platform where young people discussed instances and the problems, developed proposals and ranked them. Here, the agenda of the meeting has been set up in order to drive the discussion with policy makers. The webPortal had the capability to allow them to vote the best recommendation so as the selection will be automatically done by them. The applicant provided to upload several documents, policies, programmes and other material in order to facilitate the discussion and to raise their awareness about the EU policies in the field of education and training. At least 100 interns participated in this project during the online debate and at 31 out of them joined the policy makers in Brussels.- Implementation Activities (transnational meeting, open discussion, working groups): after the selection of the candidates, the partner organized the travel and the meeting in Brussels that lasted three days. Young people have had the opportunity to discuss among them about how to deal the debate with policy-makers, to meet them and ask their questions. Finally, they have been supported by the participant organizations to develop and draft some recommendations and policy papers to deliver to the policy makers.- Follow-up & Evaluation Activities (online debate): After the meeting the applicant submitted a questionnaire in order to evaluate the level of satisfaction of the participants, meanwhile, young people continued to discuss and to disseminate the results of the transnational meeting to the other users. A final evaluation have been provided and presented to the participant organizations during the final online meeting. All the activities have been led by young people in order to increase their responsibility and their direct involvement to a democratic participation activity. The result has been young people awareness rising of youth policies implemented at EU level. On the other side, the policy-makers involved have been able to better understand some of the challenges faced by the interns. Both the interns and the participant organizations will work together in he future to better developing concrete provisions for the European Label for Quality Internship. Young people have increased their engagement in democratic life, they have developed their multicultural approach, their English language and their ICT skills through the use of the platform. The Ecepaa's platform can be used also in the future for other issues making the project idea sustainable for the long-period.MEET has contributed to improve the link between education and the labour market providing useful guidelines and recommendations made by the interns with the aim to improve the effectiveness of training activities in the future. The project has represented a starting point for a future larger project in this field and its outcome may become an important relevant source for the coming development of EU Youth Strategy.

FranceFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2016-1-BE04-KA205-001835Funder Contribution: 38,096.2 EUR"Summary Context :The increasing influx of asylum seekers to European countries, has made more important than ever to take action in increasing the possibility of their integration within the society. This is also one of the priorities of the European Commission, particularly with regards to the inclusion of young newly arrived immigrants. The main objective of this project is to facilitate integration of migrants and refugees through the participation in Erasmus+ programmes and establishing new strategies to enhance the communication between young people from different cultures and ethnic groups. Although multicultural cohabitation is one of ECEPAAs’ priorities certainly we cannot solve alone the problem of cultural differences, but together with our partners we can have an effect on some factors in order to limit these issues.ObjectivesThe purpose of SCYAP is to increase the communication through trust building between this two groups of young peoples, thanks to the introduction of the new working methodology, in order to raise the participation of young migrants and refugees in Erasmus+ exchange programmes. We have established a set of action points which will enable us to meet our goal and they are as follows:• Increase volunteers’ and youth workers’ skills;a. Communications skills;b. Training to tackle problems;c. Network with other youth associations to share best practices;d. Create tailored programmes to build trust with the help of other European partners. The methodology that will apply on this the project will be of various types. MATTEI"" RECANATIFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2014-1-IT01-KA102-000313Funder Contribution: 217,062 EURThe project DIGIT– Digital Innovation in Training – is addressed to 100 students attending the ultimate and pen-ultimate year of secondary school in the Province of Macerata and it aims at strengthening, within their educational and training path, the use of innovative and flexible methodologies, in order to link school preparation with practical activities, through the experience of transnational mobility. This initiative is promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Macerata and it aims at developing the participants’ technical-professional and transversal competences in the sector of Digital innovation. The project meets therefore the strategy of EUROPE 2020 and, in particular, the European and Italian Agenda wishing to utilize the potential of ITC technology in order to support innovation, economic growth and progress. The development of digital competencies is fundamental for ensuring that young people are able to access the modern job market and for allowing them a full participation and inclusion in today’s digital society. The project is based on the innovative and involving method of alternation of education and training and it answers the needs of the targeted students. In fact, recent research showed that, despite the numerous advancement of the modern school system, newly graduated high school students are often not prepared to approach the job market because they:- possess basic skills and competencies but lack technical and operative skills usable in the job market;- show a natural incline towards digital and web technology, but they are not “digital competent”, that is their knowledge of digital technology is not adequate to a work context; - show a general lack of confidence in their possibilities and dissatisfaction with the work environment, which is felt more acutely in this period of crisis;- have transversal competences (team work, communication skills, problem solving attitude), but only tried in the school environment;- have a limited knowledge of the local production system due to the absence of a true contact with the labour market. The mobility experience will be preceded by a thorough linguistic, cultural, pedagogical and sectorial preparation (25 hour distance language training, propaedeutic seminars, orientation to job market or university, 1 module on labour law and work safety, 1 open day with local companies). This preparation will sustain future choices and encourage participation in innovative training experiences, open to a European context. The training process will be organized according to individual Learning Agreement that will be structured in terms of learning outcomes, in order to facilitate their recognition trough the ECVET system. The work experience will last three weeks, between May and November 2015, and take place in companies in England, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Poland and Malta. During the work placements the participants will be able to integrate the theoretical contents of their educational programme with competencies and technical skills better suited to the demands of the job market, also in an European context. The following results are expected:- development of technical and professional competencies, in respect to the chosen sectors and according to a recognised, certified and validated path;- improvement in accessing the job market, thanks to a better understanding of the local economic structure; - promotion of training programmes aiming to improve the quality of employment and long life learning;- support to the adoption of principles and methods of ECVET (MoU and Learning Agreement) when planning educational paths.Another element of strenght of the project DIGIT is the VET National Consortium, that includes key actors of the educational and training system, as well as associations and companies that operates in the sector of digital innovation, all wishing to improve the sinergy between training and workplace, in order to increase the opportunities for young people to access the job market. The project, therefore, will strive to pose the basis for a stable cooperation of the partnership, aiming at overcoming the fragmentation still existing in the sector of education, training and job services.

The project has been part of the Consortium local and European development strategy in terms of its internationalization. The core of the project consisted of a 90-day transnational mobility of 100 newly graduates from Calabria towards different European countries: United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland and Belgium. The project aimed at maximizing the results achieved through the realization of a previous KA1 VET project proposal and called “E.Y.E. - European Youngs in Enterprises"" (no. 2015-1-IT01-KA102-004241), coordinated by Confindustria Vibo Valentia, which was later merged into Unindustria. The Consortium managed to give it further continuity by establishing a close partnership among local authorities, training centres, associations and stakeholders from agri-food, tourism and catering sectors, which were the focus of the project “E.Y.E. 2017”. The objectives achieved by in the 24 months of management were:- greater consolidation and integration of the project management team, which also included staff coming from the Consortium's schools;- expansion of the interconnections between formal and non-formal education, professional training and labour market through the cooperation activated among schools, national and European companies, VET organisations; - extension of the regional educational offer and empowerment of schools’ outgoing guidance services addressing newly graduates thanks to the collaboration with the VET organizations;- improvement of the language skills of the project management staff and, above all, of the participants that took part in the mobility and developed a work experience in a native language context. In this regard, 100 graduates from Technical and Professional schools (specialized in Food and Wine; Hotel Hospitality; Administration, Finance and Marketing; Tourism; Agriculture) took part in a 3-month transnational mobility, which helped them learn new professional and soft skills, as well as language awareness, ""on the job"". In total, the project saw the participation of 41 male and 59 female participants, from different areas of Calabria and varied socio-cultural backgrounds. The short-term impacts produced by the project were:- 40% of the learners received a job offer from their host company or from another company located in the foreign country where the internship took place. Of this percentage recorded, 15% returned abroad only for the summer period. A further 50% came back to Italy to continue the work experience in family or local companies, enriching them with the skills acquired abroad; a smaller part (about 10%) decided to enrol in a university course in order to pursue a higher qualification;- about 90% of participants stated that they are fully satisfied with the training received abroad;- more than 80% of participants believe that they have increased their chances of finding further professional opportunities;- 91% affirmed to have improved their professional and linguistic skills;- the members of the Consortium and the European partner managed to promote further Erasmus+ projects for the VET system and the partner schools launched new cross-board work based learning experiences for students;- European VET providers had the chance to look more closely at the management dynamics underlying the monitoring, evaluation and recognition mechanisms of such projects, while the hosting companies gave a boost to the internal internationalization process of their own staff."
