You yourself have a lot of influence on becoming good at something. But education also plays an important role in promoting excellence. About 5 to 10% of the VET students can achieve considerably more than the framework of the current curriculum allows them. Students who want and are able to do more, get the opportunity to follow additional programs with added value. This way they will achieve more than is expected beforehand. Excellence programs can act as a catalyst to stimulate students to achieve higher goals. The excellence programs focus not only on cognitive performance, but also on craftsmanship, creativity, entrepreneurship and international competences. With excellence programs, attention will be paid to excellent students in VET education witch will have a favourable effect on the reputation of VET education in general. The main question is; What is excellent education and how do we offer it to students? The primary target group of this project is teachers (+/- 30 in total) who are willing to learn more about excellent education. The secondary target group is students (+/-60 in total) who are willing to be challenged in excellent education and can give feedback on the different programs. Feedback of both target groups is important to learn about their views on excellent education and for developing a vision for excellent education. The desired impact of this project is:• Building a bridge between VET education and higher career skills and competences• Improve the reputation of VET education• Social inclusion for talented and ambitious students• Open teachers eyes to different way of teachingWe expect to raise the awareness for the need of excellent education and change the attitudes of teachers towards this subject. We will teach teachers skills and competences around excellent education such as the learning pit (James Notthingham), growth mindset (Carrol Dweck), creative thinking, etc.The expected output of the project and upon completion are;• Talking the same language about excellent education• Teach teachers about excellent education and how they can stimulate deep level learning by their students• Use each other’s best practices and test them in your own country• An international networkFurthermore we think that the dissemination of the results of the project will have a positive effect on attracting motivated students to VET education and reduce the bad reputation it has in some countries at the moment. To reach the objectives 4 transnational meetings will be held and 3 learning teaching trainings. During the transnational meetings will have the following objectives;1.Get acquainted, introduction and mutual clarification2.Discussions, status and progression in the actions3.Evaluation of the performed actions, divide tasks for following year,4.Reflection, evaluation, dissemination of the project to international group of teachersThe learning teaching training activities have the following content;November 2020 Malaga Business Bootcamp SpainJongLeren.es/Santa Maria de los Angeles will provide Málaga Business Bootcamp for teachers and students in collaboration with local organisations. In this 2 week bootcamp, students will live on their own, learn Spanish and work on a project provided by a local business.May 2021 Skills Heroes FinlandStudents will visit the finals of the national skills competition and will have their own skills competition on entrepreneurial/soft skills. Teachers will coach the students during this competition and will have a workshop and learn how to integrate skills in the curricula.November 2021 Teacher Training / Directors vision / BrainBoost & Up NetherlandsStudents will experience parts of the BrainBoost program and the Up program. Teachers and directors will have a training on the vision for excellent education, coaching excellent students and integrate excellent education in their curricula using practical tools.During the LTTA's the steering group, teachers and students will have the opportunity to develop competences related to excellent education. This will open teacher’s eyes on a different way of teaching and coaching students. Also students will learn about the growth mindset, creative thinking and the learning pit. They will experience a deeper level of learning. They can develop higher career skills and competences due to excellent education. During these LTTA's we will develop the same language on the different subjects and on excellent education. They will also work on expanding their (international) network by meeting each other. If they disseminate what they have learned within their own organizations, the network will grow. By learning about each other's methods of excellent education, we can use the best practices in our own organization and try out what works and what doesn't. The steering group will have separate meetings to reflect and evaluate on activities.

Hereby, we focus on digitalisation for the increase of students' motivation and better evaluation. An increase in the motivation of both teachers and students is also important. Furthermore, we aim to be inclusive and make all students participate and enjoy the advantages of the experience abroad.<< Implementation >>During both years of the project first sports teachers will do a mobility in order to get to know colleagues, the education system and sports education at the partner organisation. Jeroen Caers, expert in digitalisation will introduce the teachers in the use of digital tools in sports classes.Sports students will enjoy an exchange and follow sports and theoretical classes, do peer teaching... In between both years of the project, an evaluation will be done by the international coordinator HHK.<< Results >>We aim a list of concrete suggestions for adaptation of the sports curriculum in both organisations. This list should lead to structural changes and student and labour market oriented studies. Besides, we hope to implement the use of digital tools for evaluation and motivational goals in sports classes. A structural collaboration between both organisations is top priority.

This goes for almost all the countries, educations and colleges within VET in Europe. Despite clear agendas from national governments we still face a lack of students and graduated workers in many fields. We all want to, and have an interest in, changing this fact. We want to raise image of VET, get more students in VET, get better teaching and happier students. This project will share good practices and attack this issue from a quality perspective. The partners have chosen five actions that we will combine, complement and learn from throughout and after the project period. The overall goal is to learn from each other, share knowledge and actions and complement own findings with the findings of partners and increase our competences and be able to transform the data from quality reviews, research and action findings into the classroom. Be a better teacher, to ""make"" better students and better organisations. This benefits society as well. The five actions are: -Student's selfevaluation and combined student-teacher's evaluation -Meeting between student and teacher. Research of motivation in the classroom -Student's evaluation of education -EQUAVET as a tool for improving quality in education through student's voice -Teacher's preparation for class focused, in team and in mind map/fixed scheme & evaluation of teaching. We expect that this new approach and combination of looking into quality from different angles and perspectives, will provide us with new tools and complement the objectives of the project. Objectives of project: -Qualifying teachers to enhance better teaching -Share and test tools -Translate quality data to better teaching -Involving students in teaching and learning -Having happy, motivated students To do this we'll work with our chosen actions at our respective colleges. We will have two learning/teaching/training activities together. Participants are two steering group members from each college and two teachers. Between our meetings and at the activity meetings we work first with own issue/action at the first training activity meeting. Following this meeting we work in home college, and secondly we work with new actions from partner college. In this way we share our experiences, learn new ways of dealing with subjects, learn on own body new actions that will strenghten our quality work. Activities are teaching in class, interviewing students, perform evaluations with and between students, make observations in classroom and more. Participants are, a part from the steering group, two teachers from each participating college. The teachers will work in student classes with the given actions. They will work with the actions they know from own college, and they will work with an action from partner college. These activities take place at activity-meetings and between meetings. Our key target is students, but teachers are the target group in the methodology. The project will use socalled Action Theory to get an overview of our actions and objectives. We will work with: 1. A context analysis; characteristics of the students in the different countries; 2. Presentation of quality management system. Choose a methodology to investigate the quality of the best practices. Describe indicators of quality. 3. Identifying best practices within own college 4. Exchanging best practices with teachers from all countries adopting each other's best practice 5. Evaluate the applied best practices with students and teachers 6. Recommendations published, making presentation for participants to use. Create an online platform with all best practices and tools and a webinar. 7. Hosting a work shop and webinar We expect the following impact Students: More active in class, more motivated for education, increased fulfillment rate, happier students, better student-teacher relation. Teachers/participants:Transformation of quality data into better classroom teaching, better teaching competences, increased intercultural competences, better perception's competences, extended personal competences in a professionel frame Organisations: Enhanced quality level, better image, look at, and talk about quality in a new way Longer term benefits: Increased quality in education Increased number of happy, motivated student Increased number of students, that full fill their education Other findings will be: Better knowledge , skills and competence regarding inter/transcultural performances, both professionally and individual and for the benefit of the organisation and VET education overall. The project will, at it's best, give us tools to change the way we teach, the way student's learn and the way we organize our colleges."

The barriers to apply for and manage EU funded mobility projects besides other tasks are high for all VET providers - companies and schools. Besides, there are doubts about the recognition of learning contents and outcomes. The EUKCEM II project therefore aimed at addressing those doubts and further facilitating the management of mobility projects, with ECVET as integral part - from practicioners for practicioners. The project was a follow-up of the LLP Leonardo da Vinci project EUKCEM that supported quality in mobility through structured step by step information about mobility processes for all actors involved (host organisations, sending organisations and beneficiaries) as well as through a partner search database of quality organisations, that assured to follow certain quality standards and agreed to get rated for their performance by beneficiaries.Based on the feedback gained for the initial web contents, EUKCEM II did a relaunch of the platform www.eu-mobility.eu and added structured information on four aspects: 1) Mobility Management including practical checklists, templates, practicioner advise and video tutorials for the five important parts of every mobility project, such as application, preparation, implementation, evaluation and finalisation.2) ECVET: Besides video tutorials and information, the project designed a growing database of ECVET learning units and outcomes that can be either seen as source of information, as inspiration or already as part of learning agreements (transfer option). 3) Are you ready: Beneficiaries are addressed in a more targeted way with information, videos (mobility stories) but also an interactive tool for preparation.4) The partner search tool was kept from the first EUKCEM project. The partnership, composed of experienced mobility coordinators from Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK and Germany brought in their experiences and best practices as sending, intermediary and host organisations in EU mobility. The main contact person at the Dutch partner in addtion is national ECVET expert. Each partner organisation was responsible for at least one of the intellectual outputs and contributed to the contents of the web platform in addition to organising webinars and face-to-face workshops. In the last year of the project, since 25.09.2017, the web platform www.eu-mobility.eu reached ca. 31.000 visitors. EUKCEM Facebook posts partly reached more than 3.000 persons (Step by step through all phases of an Erasmus+ KA1), the same post at the facebook page of the coordinator reached more than 4.600 persons, a post about mobility partnerships more than 4.100 persons, etc. Also more than 400 people directly participated in the project through face-to-face workshops, webinars and events and provided positive and valuable feedback. Local, regional and also European partnerships were established that last also after the end of the project. The project partners integrated the materials created within the EUKCEM II project into their regular activities, use them for their own mobility projects and also together with their partners from other European countries. Therefore, the partners as well as other organisations involved in mobilities across Europe will benefit also in the long term. All web resources will be kept and also synergies are built with a project about quality in mobility.

No matter which country we come from, during the pandemics, when the education moved to online, we faced the same challenges: insufficient degree of digitalisation in our institutions- in terms of teachers' digital skills, but also expertise in organising e-learning or blended learning, equippment shortage or insufficient digital learning resources, too many channels used for communication and not enough expertise in shifting from traditional classes to online. Our project proposes a solution for the above mentioned needs and challenges, with long term benefits, and effects, consisting in digital resources, a training program for teachers on how to develop digital resources and an application for mobile devices for each partner school. It is a partnership between 5 institutions, FEG, from Romania, SOSU Ostjylland from Denmark, Stichting Landstede from Netherlands, Instituto Politecnico de Santarem, Portugal and IES El Rincon from Spain who will create a set of tools that would built digital education readiness and will reduce the impact of the crisis in the VET field. The partner schools have expertise in healthcare education at different levels , in using ITC in education and two of the partners, in programming applications. The objectives of the project are:1.To increase the access to digital learning resources for all students by creating a collection of video courses, tutorials and other resources used in teaching, learning and evaluation, that will be available online and offline.2. To develop the digital pedagogical competences of 16 teachers from the partner schools who will be trained into the e-learning and blended learning pedagogy and into creating video courses, tutorials and other educational resources specific to their subjects and who will peer train other colleagues. 3. To facilitate and increase the communication between school, students and teachers by developing an application, EduApp, free and open source, customised for each partner school. The main expected results of the project are:1. EduApp -an all-in one application for desktop and mobile devices aiming at facilitating communication between school, teachers and students, with a notification pushing system, links to courses, activities and other resources available in the institution and a Guidelines on how to set up and use the application EduApp, including tutorials for teachers, students and staff members 2. A collection of digital learning materials containing 30 video courses transposing the content into audio-video materials, 15 tutorials for practical training ,15 evaluation resources and other materials, to be used in online, blended and distance training and a teachers’ Guide on how to create effective digital learning resources 3. EduPlatform- a Moodle based platform containing all the resources created during the project and a State-of-the Art Report based on the results of the needs analysis carried in the partner institutions.Besides these tangible results, we expect the project to contribute to the following: the schools' readiness to incorporate blended learning and e-learning, increased communication by using their own application EduApp, customised after their needs, increased access for the students and the teachers to online and offline digital learning resources. the schools' increased capacity in running EU funded projects and all the good practices captured and transferred in the partner institutions. Another important results is the fact that some of our schools are, for the first time, developers of multi media content for their training program, fact that will lead to an extension of the ITC use in VET education.EduApp project will involve over 46 teachers, 300 students, 6 managers, 6 technicians and administrative staff in developing, testing and revising the project final products. The project includes, besides management activites (local and overall management, 4 transnational project meetings, monitoring and evaluation) and dissemination activities ( local ongoing publicity, 5 multiplier events and a final conference), 3 Short Term Joint Staff Training Events, during which 16 staff members will be trained into e-learning and blended learning pedagogy, in how to create digital learning resources (DLR), will share good practices and work together to elaborate the Intellectual Outputs, which is another activity in the project plan. The technicians involved in the activities will develop, test and adjust EduApp a strong tool that would facilitate and increase the intra, inter and external communication in the school. The project will produce and make available all the necessary resources so that it could be multiplied and serve as inspiration for other teachers and schools.
