The creation of a consortium of the three vocational schools in the goslar district pooled existing competences and resources of the individual schools. Nevertheless, of the 47 planned mobility, only 32 mobilitys took place. These were carried out by both trainees and education staff. The reduced number is due to the redistribution of responsibilities, which led to a delayed start of mobility in the project. In addition to the consistently positive experiences of the project participants, the good and productive cooperation of the three schools must be highlighted above all. Synergies have been created, which will also be further exploited and expanded in a follow-up Project. Through international internships for students and job shadowing activities for employees, the quality of education and professional learning community within MBOU will be improved. By gaining international experience, students and staff have more control over their own study/career path and are motivated and activated by new experiences that they would not gain in the Netherlands normally. Their knowledge is deepened, broadened and renewed and they are prepared for today's global labor market in which professional practice and education are well aligned. They are part of a larger whole, with an eye for tolerance, sustainability, inclusion and diversity, in which every student or employee has the opportunity to have an experience abroad, regardless of everyone's personal situation.<< Objectives >>1. Giving 25 students the opportunity to have a foreign experience2. Professionalization of 5 employees abroad3. Expand and maintain international partnerships to strengthen our professional learning community4. Increasing diversity and inclusion in student mobilities5. Sustainability is included in the considerations of every mobility<< Implementation >>1. Long-term learning mobility of VET learners2. In addition, participated in a language and cultural awareness group sessions prior to and during their placement. The project will involve 9 students from KCFE. They will be students on QQI Level 5 and 6 programmes. The partner organisation was in Denmark Staff members from various departments in KCFE and their partner organisations will be involved in the organisation of the placement, preparation of students, monitoring of the placement and evaluation. The principal of KCFE and programme coordinators will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the project. The project addressed a number of needs including: -The need for quality work placement which is a requirement of all QQI accredited programmes - The need to provide students with an opportunity to learn about and experience different cultures - The need to enhance the mobility and adaptability of students - The need to raise self-esteem, self-confidence and motivation levels among learners - The need to develop mutually beneficial working relationships with other training institutions for staff and students - As Europe becomes more integrated, students need to be more aware of different countries, cultures and practices. While it is not possible to send all students abroad the placement project will raise awareness throughout KCFE of opportunities to travel and work abroad. Overall, the project addressed the needs of all learners. A high proportion of the students at KCFE come from a disadvantaged background and a large number have not been abroad before, therefore the project was necessary to provide them with an opportunity to travel, sta and work abroad with a high level of support and guidance. The main aims of the project were: -To provide a valuable learning experience for participants, staff and wider college community - To strengthen the European dimension to programmes of learning at KCFE - To enhance learners employability -To strengthen and add value to the qualification attained by participants - To further develop the quality of training provision in KCFE - To provide participants with new learning experiences that may encourage and support them to progress to higher education - To enhance learner skills, both technical and life skills - To facilitate learners to become more outward focused and aware of the many opportunities that exist beyond their immediate environment - To raise learners' awareness of and appreciation for different cultures and values - To encourage participants to acquire foreign language skills and apply these in real life sittings - To develop a positive working relationship with NVPRO - To enable staff to experience different teaching and learning systems - To afford participants the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while simultaneously experiencing different work practices - To enhance participants self-competence and motivation as they progress beyond KCFE - To capture relevant learning that can be shared within the college community and with external stakeholders The project benefited the participants, the wider college community and external stakeholders. The project benefits to participants in many ways both directly and indirectly. Direct benefits included an enhanced value of the qualification they receive and enhanced employability/ability to progress to higher education. Indirect benefits included increased self-confidence and motivation which will be valuable additions for participants as they seek to advance their career. The project also benefited the college as it enabled staff to experience other teaching systems and allow all partner organisations to strengthen their relationships. It is hoped that future projects will evolve from this. We believe that, in order to stimulate this, MBO Utrecht needs to offer a dynamic and relevant environment in the classroom, on the work floor and during (international) internships and other activities. Also, MBO Utrecht intends to enlarge the employability in the current and future (international) labour market for all students. To effectuate this impact, we need to get inspired and learn beyond borders, and explore the opportunities for our students on the European labour market. To achieve these objectives, MBO Utrecht needs an international dimension for learners and staff. For the period of 2019-2023 MBO Utrecht committed itself to these three organisation goals, where all our activities have to contribute to:1. Improving the quality of educational activities2. Involving the outside world3. Appreciating differencesWe believe that international experiences provide learners (intercultural) knowledge, skills and competencies, which cannot be acquired in another way. As a result, learners enlarge their changes at the (international) labour market. Furthermore, international experiences, contribute to more secure, independent learners with strong intercultural competencies, who have the tools to be active European citizens. International experiences for staff contribute to new insights on teaching, pedagogy, curriculum and the working field. In order to improve the quality of educational activities, we need to learn with and from each other, get inspired and learn beyond borders. Also, internationalisation contributes to the movement of involving the outside world. It will provide staff with a deeper insight in intercultural issues and tools on how to approach these matters. To insure this, TDE#3 is incorporated in the HR-policy regarding professionalisation of staff. Following the experiences within projects TDE#1 and TDE#2, the project TDE#3 focusses on:1) incorporating internationalisation in regular educational activities2) enhancing international internships of learners3) enhancing international job shadowing of staff4) incorporating European experts in the professionalisation of staffTDE#3 will work with 8 partners:Haapsalu Kutsehariduskeskus - EstoniaLinnaeus University - SwedenMallorca Works - SpainTurun Ammatti Instituutti - FinlandEcole de ski Prosneige in Les Menuires – FranceBuddies Dive Cove - MaltaUniversity of the Highlands and Islands - Perth College - Scotland UKSitel Group - BulgariaActivities:VET-SHORT - Short term mobility of VET learnersDNA on Tour: 12 UK, 12 SETalent Discovery Trip: 24 EEDIVE, SNOW, SKI: 20 MT, 20 FRSocial and Health Care Trip: 10 FIVVET-PLONG - Erasmus PRO- long term mobility of VET learnersInternship for students of all academies MBO Utrecht: 24 (i.a.) Outcome and ImpactTDE#3 will be successful when:- 100+ learners and 25+ staff get a learning experience abroad, which gives them more intercultural awareness and competencies and helps them to discover their talents- the quality of educational activities is increased, with all the new insights MBO Utrecht will get from individual learners and staff who have learned beyond borders;- sustainable contact and collaboration with partners abroad has been established, which will help us to optimally prepare our students for the current and future labour market;- MBO Utrecht created opportunities for all students, also to students with a disadvantaged background, in order to appreciate differences, embrace diversity and contribute to equal opportunities for our students, European citizens;- the project contributed to social inclusion, equal opportunities and professionalisation within the EU.With TDE#3 MBO Utrecht enlarges the employability in the current and future (international) labour market for all students.
