Partners will mobilise a wide range of Conflict Resolution tools, such as Simulation Games: a Simulation Game is an elaborate tool for training, mocking a real life situation and projecting the potential outcomes of an action. It involves games, role-plays, case studies and socio-drama circumstances to simulate representations of reality situations. In most cases, Simulation Games are used to develop the capabilities of the players/participants to take decisions by providing a model of reality allowing the players to create a particular dynamic that captures their interest through competition, incentives for success and a scoring component. S4C focused on young people who were primarily unemployed and from struggling economic backgrounds, Sport 4 Change, mobilised Sport and Informal learning techniques to develop young people to become full rounded individuals. With the last EU Parliament elections, where voters overly supported Right-focused parties across Europe, there has been an ever increasing leaning towards political and social ideas such as: Intolerance; Discrimination & Racism; and Community social exclusion.Since 2014/2015, this situation has increased in certain regions including in EU countries such as Hungary and Poland as well as wider pockets in Western EU countries. And with the recent Brexit vote in the UK, these feelings of intolerance are only expected to rise.In particular, although rightest parties have received support throughout the Social Strata, the vast majority of voters, were people who are suffering from the recent Economic Crisis and the continued Refugee Crisis. A key area of support have come from those currently unemployed, living on Benefits and who have only achieved a secondary level Education, as well as living in regions outside of major cities, are turning to extreme ideas and politicians to have their voice heard.Sport 4 Change aimed to offer an alternative to young people suffering in these situations and to reduce the influence of the Right, Populist Newspapers and their Poverty. Over a 2 year period, young people through Sport 4 Change, participated in Multilateral Youth Exchanges, incorporating 4 stages of activities. Its main aim was to develop their Life Skills; Work experience; Cultural engagement; and provide them with the skills required to connect with Decision-makers, instead of relying on Right Political Parties and populist movements:• Sport for Skills• Work-based learning• Inter-cultural Dialogue• Express YourselfSport for Skills: mobilised Adapted Sport, young people engaged fellow young people from other countries, to develop Life Skills, including: Communication; Inter-personal; Leadership; Team-working; and Budgeting. Furthermore, participants developed their behaviours and came to respect key concepts as: Respect; Fair play; and Tolerance.Work-based learning: all participants benefited from work-based training using informal learning methods, throughout the 2 year programme, with particular focus during the youth exchanges. Work-based training included: Sport; Business admin; Customer Service; Health & Social Care; Sport Coaching; Teaching; Work-place behaviours; Marketing; Fundraising; Project management; etc. Participants were given key roles on the S4C project management team, where they were able to developing these skills on-the-job through assisting the management the S4C project; Social Media marketing; Micro-Teach activities; learning the skills of a Sport Coach and how to deliver sport activities focusing on social intolerance themes such as: Social inclusion; STDs; Disabilities; and Crime.Inter-cultural Dialogue: young participants engaged with peer young people from other countries during the Multilateral Youth Exchanges, which allowed them to experience life in other countries and cultures, develop international communication skills, language skills and most importantly to understand people, whether they be from their own community or a different one. The key objective was to overcome the increasing embedded idea, that that migrant workers are different and the incorrect idea that migrant workers ‘take all the jobs from local people’, which is not true. These ideas have been only on the increase since this project was implemented. Through Inter-cultural activities and dialogue, Sport for Change connected young people together, and revealed the reality that ultimately they are just people, with the same problems, hopes and needs.Express Yourself: Express Yourself, developed the skills young people need to engage with Decision-makers, while it developed their wider skills to: debate; communicate; and persuade decision-makers of their issues and the changes they need to happen in society. Young People met with MPs; EU MEPs; Civil Servants; and others who they felt have influence over their lives.S4C was an enlightening experience both for the participants and the project co-ordinators and the experience has only revealed to us further how much work is required to overcome intolerance, social discrimination and exclusion and unemployment. However Erasmus+ S4C further confirmed to us how Sport for Development can be mobilised to successfully achieve this.

These organizations represent the many shades of democracy that exist across Europe, each country coming with its own challenges in how to create change in that society. Each of the partner organization sends three participants, to guarantee an intense learning experience. In total, there will be 21 participants, representing different countries, different backgrounds, religions, socio-economic levels and different educational needs. They will range in age and professional background, in order to create a diverse, as well as gender-balanced group. The two trainings take the concepts and principles of democracy and give a new relevance to it by applying these concepts to the workings of a small group. Instead of only talking about the theories of equality, freedom, inclusion, the method lets participants reflect on whether their actions reflect their theories. Through interactive activities combined with reflection sessions, participants gain a deeper understanding of themselves and a greater awareness of their effect on others. They learn to recognize their own needs and how to express these needs in a group, as well as what to do when there are conflicting needs in a group. Through a given conflict management strategy, participants learn to deal with conflict through a reflection and awareness of the a decision making process. The ultimate goal is the recognition that while one person’s freedom can step over another’s, every individual has an equal right to freedom. This goal is achieved through an experiential learning process, shaped by the naturally existing dynamics of the group. In a second step the participants learn how to use the Betzavta methodology in their own working contexts. The facilitate one activity together with a colleague. Afterwards they receive a peer review and a feedback from the trainers. The result, in the short and longer term, is a greater sense of responsibility that comes from the bottom-up. Instead of being told what to do or simply following rules, participants begin to take initiative in their actions in order to create the kind of society that they want to live in."

RESOLVE: Equity aimed to develop young women and young men in understanding Gender Inequality, promoting Gender Equity and offer a platform for young Gender Equality advocates seeking experience as future Gender Equality changemakers. The project aimed to:- to recognise gender inequality-provide the skills/understanding/experience a young person needs to engage with gender inequality 'social marginalisers' and advocate gender equity-share expertise/best practice/skills/support to young people in their delivery of their local Social Action activities-offer a sustained network for partner countries’ future advocates to promote gender equity beyond the lifetime of the programmeGender inequality and a lack of equity continued to be a real issue in all of our partners’ countries and the development of Gender-based equity advocacy skills in a learning model, supported the next generation of community leaders to have the skills they need to address inequality.Additionally, as a RESOLVE youth exchange project, original application also recognised that very often Community leaders lack the experience & knowledge to manage local conflict in the UK and partner countries of this kind. With a lack in skill-sets, partners aimed to engage with young people, our community leaders of tomorrow, to develop the skills they needed to manage community conflict before it increases to the level of every day violent conflict, through this project, especially in relation to Gender Inequality.Mobilising the expertise developed through RESOLVE: East/other RESOLVE youth exchanges and through the ongoing work of the RESOLVE: Network, Asfar and our partners aimed to address this conflict, while developing the community leaders of tomorrow with a specific focus on Gender Equality and Gender Equity. In the Caucasus community disengagement & ongoing-war effects still prevents social cohesion & social inclusion especially for Women and members of the LGBTQ+ communities. Whereas Gender Inequality remains a significant issue in Morocco and Turkey, with basic rights lacking. In the UK and Italy, gender equality is at a higher level than some partner countries, however, it remains a barrier to community participation and development. The next generation of Community Peacebuilders, who are now actively required in Europe and neighbouring countries must to be prepared to address social division, toensure the rejuvenation of their communities & the social cohesiveness necessary to prevent long term conflicts.Key Objectives - support young people to develop skills in:1. Sport for Development/Simulation games & how to use techniques to resolve gender inequality in their communities2. Gender Equality Social Advocacy competencies3.
