KG,Itaka training,Expat Intern SL,Omilos UNESCO Neon ThessalonikisFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2016-3-FR02-KA205-012167Funder Contribution: 238,255 EURIn relation to the Europe 2020 strategy, the project addresses the themes of social inclusion, employability, the active participation of young people in the civil society, training and youth work. In particular, in relation to the seven flagship initiatives for the European contribution to the Europe 2020 strategy that aims to stimulate progress in terms of growth and employment, our project is based on the second flagship initiative “youth on the move”. The target of our project is made up of young people who lack of basic competences due to social, economic and geographical barriers. Hence, the target may include young individuals involved in training or young Neets. Developing mobility paths abroad and improving basic and transversal competences is particularly difficult for this specific target. The project had multiple objectives. First of all the project tried to develop the 8 key competences in the emotional, cognitive and social field among young low-skilled Neets while ensuring an intellectual, inclusive and sustainable growth. Moreover, one of the main objectives was to promote the mobility of young people aboard in order to increase their employability, allow them to have the same possibilities as the other young people, reduce the social gap between the different groups, acquire the fundamental international and intercultural vision for the development of life skills and guarantee the validity and the quality of these people’s employability. The project involved 15 partners belonging to 6 different countries with expertise in the fields of education, social inclusion, youth employment and in the relations with local businesses and organizations. Under a quantitative point of view, more than the 882 originally planned participants were involved. The main activities that were implemented are: -the creation of a network: contact and research of training entities, companies at the national level and training agencies able to organize and support the various steps -the development of a platform in order to manage the network and create a link between young people, social entities and businesses. -the organization of 14 multiplier events in the 6 countries involved in order to present the 2 IOs.-in the framework of the second IO, 11 creative meetings took place with the participation of young people and training managers in order to understand how to organize the mobility for the project target; creation of the content of the guide-the organization of 5 days of training on the content of the guide dedicated to youth workers and to those responsible of the aspects related to the training. -the organization of the mobility of 16 young people in order to put the methodologies into practice. The initially planned results were achieved. Under a qualitative point of view, we have created a working group and we have established a dynamic of exchanges between social entities and economic organizations in order to organize and plan mobility projects dedicated to low-skilled young people, thanks to European and national funds. The young people who participated in the mobility developed their life skills and triggered a mechanism of innovation and qualification that is reflected in the territory of origin. Finally, there has been a professional development of those who work or are active in the fields of education, training and youth through the training period that took place on the basis of the guide established within the project. The feedback that we received through the analysis of the resource sheets provided by the guide was very positive. The impact generated was both short and long-term. In relation to the short-term impact, the most important effect was the one on young people and on youth workers who participated in the mobility and in the training. For the social entities, being able to get in touch with other European organizations and to get to know other businesses willing to welcome a young NEET was fundamental. As far as the long-term is concerned, the impact mainly concerned the creation of a mechanism of development and activities production that aims to promote social inclusion and the employability of low-skilled people. Another impact to be highlighted is the one on the project partners since it allowed us to acquire further competences, to develop new collaborations and design new project proposals in order to ensure a follow-up and sustain the ongoing actions. The project results reflect the EU strategy for youth by 2027 as well as its priorities. Thanks to the instruments designed within the project, we can promote a youth work that promotes quality, innovation and the recognition of youth work in order to support the young Neets in their journey towards inclusion.

The following technical-technological and vocational study curricula have been involved (Tourism, Agriculture, Agro-food and Agro-industry and its articulations, Environmental biotechnologies; Social-health services, services for food and wine and hotel hospitality) referring to specific professional profiles and related support services. The mobility flows in the different countries of destination have been preceded by an intense phase of pedagogical and linguistic preparation. The linguistic communication skills have been exercised both in curricular programs and through the awareness of the participants towards commitment and self-learning (through the use of the OLS), but also with strengthening activities within the educational offer. The scouting activity of the host foreign companies has been carried out in collaboration with foreign partner organizations in the different countries and through the involvement of companies operating in the sector consistent with the study programmes of the participants belonging to the Consortium's already consolidated network and new companies identified also through the CCIAA system abroad. These synergies have made possible to set up an effective matching between the skills requirements and the identification of appropriate professional profiles. The foreign companies have been supported in the definition of the training project in collaboration with the sending Institutes, favouring the ""dynamic"" demand and offer matchmaking. The contact and scouting activity as well as the consultancy needs analysis carried out with the companies has been organized within the new E.R.M.E.S. Portal with the support of a database containing company data such as operational headquarters; reference sector; position / professional profile; contacts of the company tutor. Thanks to the long-lasting experience of CPV in managing mobility projects, different tools to guarantee the safety and protection of students before and during their stay have been developed and fine-tuned.Travel and transfers to / from the airports have been organized for all destinations and appropriate insured policies have been activated for all participants and group leaders. The Consortium has provided students with constant support during their stay. The high percentage of underage beneficiaries has required the involvement of carefully selected group leaders who have played a key role in facilitating the socio-cultural integration in the destination country as well as in the supervision and monitoring of activities. The students have been mainly hosted by certified host families identified by the foreign partners with full board accommodation. Season tickets for public transports have been provided. Before departure, CPV, in collaboration with the sending Institutes, has organised a meeting with students’ families in order to guarantee maximum transparency and dissemination of information and recommendations on expected behaviours, rules to be respected, and expectations. A ""Code of Conduct"" has been signed by all students in order to ensure a safe stay abroad. During all phases of the project, the role of foreign intermediary bodies has proved to be strategic. These organisations have many years of experience in the organization and management of mobility projects and provide qualified staff who, in collaboration with the CPV, have guaranteed assistance and informative support to the participants for the entire duration of stay."

The attention to the world of vegetarian cuisine, at kilometer zero and vegan was one of the keys to the success of the project with the participation of 60 young chefs who have been able to carry out an important experience in this specific area of catering. The objectives of the project were articulated on several levels: on the purely technical and professional linked to work in the kitchen, on that of communication and foreign languages, on that of autonomy and problem solving, on that of the ability to learn and Team work. We worked hard to ensure that these objectives were all achieved through the inclusion of participants in good restaurants with a vegetarian, vegan, sustainable and zero-km vocation. The network of project partners was very important and important. of 5 Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad and an agency specialized in the management of this type of projects which, thanks to their previous experience as well as to the large number of contacts with local companies, have made possible the realization of all the foreseen traineeships from the project with excellent results both as regards the approval of the participants and the companies involved. The choice of staying in shared and non-family apartments was also rewarding in terms of appreciation, so that everyone had the opportunity to develop their skills to live independently by organizing every aspect of daily life, but also to share this experience with other people of the same age and with similar interests from a professional point of view. The project was widely publicized through the Cescot Firenze website, its Facebook page, the International Exchanges website, the web pages of the project partners and in general the call was sent in a very widespread manner to a large number of employment and sites dedicated to young people throughout the country. We received a hundred applications that allowed us to achieve all the planned mobility by dividing them into just three flows. Given the high number of requests for participation, the candidates were selected and screened for the CVs and motivational interview in attendance. The flows were so subdivided: January 2017, 26 people divided as follows Madrid 7, Lisbon 4, Marseille 4, Thessaloniki 6, Berlin 5; June 2017, 19 people divided as follows: Berlin 2, Lisbon 2, Madrid 8, Marseille 4, Thessaloniki 3; October 2017, 15 people split Vilnius 5, Berlin 3, Marseille 2, Lisbon 4, Thessaloniki 1. All the number of trainees for each destination decided during the project phase were respected. At the end of each flow, all paper documents produced during the training were collected, including: training agreement, internship register, company tutor evaluation card and intermediary agency tutor, learning register, sustainable traveler guidelines, final report by the participant, boarding passes and any other travel documents. Each participant has also prepared a short internship report in which he summarized the most important aspects of his experience.
