<< Background >>This innovative project, “Cultural Heritage for Youth”, enabled 43 participants from 8 European countries (Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Spain and Turkey) to come together in the natural environment in Pylos, Messinia, sharing experiences, ideas and feelings. This young team met, discussed, and shared experience and examples of good practice about cultural heritage. This enhanced their experiences to meet new people, to be exposed to new cultures, to take part in open discussions and to share experiences about common European cultural heritage. Youth involved in this project, via the realization of intangible cultural heritage, shaped a better view of its cultural identity and its civilization. Materializing all forms of cultural heritage, young people expressed themselves and their talents, developed their critical spirit, cultivated perception, imagination, creativity and their initiative, broadened their horizons. This Youth exchange project took place over 8 days in Pylos, Messinia, South Peloponnese, and truly allowed each youngster to acquire and develop competences and art skills, offered youth opportunities to learn about cultural heritage of universal value, refreshed the cultural elements that were about to be forgotten.During the implementation of the Project, the participants cooperated and were motivated to the whole steps of the Project, creating their own portfolio of competences, art skills and knowledge in order to succeed in labor market, following the principles of the non-formal education. They acknowledged other organizations’ culture and art reality in different European countries. It was a 2-day meeting of all the 8 participating leaders of the YE project and the one young Greek participant aged 18-30, in order to prepare and plan activities & workshops for the best implementation of the project. In the APV only the leaders of each partner from the 8 European countries (Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Spain and Turkey) and one Greek young participant participated. There was no age limit for the leaders, and they were responsible for the appropriate preparation of their delegations for the Youth Exchange.2.Youth exchange: Workshops & activities with the non-formal learning methodology: Ice-breaking activities & team-building activities, energizers, Hidden treasure games during the Museum in the Castle of Pylos, Methoni and Nestoras Palace, Art workshops (theatre, music-dance, painting, Video-IT), outdoor activities and games, role-play games, story-telling, street Art performance, round table discussion with local Municipality, meeting with the Mayor, intercultural nights and art workshops. All the activities included the youngsters’ active participation during the preparation, implementation, evaluation, dissemination and follow-up of the Project, during the whole implementation of the project. All the activities and workshops of the Youth Exchange were planned by youngsters for themselves in such a way that empowered youth with key competences that Erasmus+ Projects aimed to foster. We wanted use this youth exchange as an opportunity for participants to create their own portfolio of competences, skills and knowledge, as for them to succeed in their personal and professional life. The young participants that participated in the Youth Exchange came from 8 European countries (Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Spain and Turkey), and were between 18 and 30 years old, having a good level of English language. This age selection of the participants was based on need for mature young people who could develop a self- guidance in order to obtain key competences and digital and art skills to confront life. They were 43 participants altogether; that is, 4 participants +1 leader without age limit =5 persons from 7 partners, and from Greece 6 participants and 2 leaders–facilitators. We were targeting youth participants, youth leaders, the main criteria being that the participant was actively involved in value-based youth work.During the Youth Exchange activities and workshops, the 43 participants-young people witnessed the benefits of collaboration, non-formal and life-long learning, teamwork, simulation activities and peer learning. So, young people with fewer opportunities, facing cultural, educational and social obstacles found ways to enhance social inclusion and their social skills through the participation in the non-formal learning activities and workshops of the Youth Exchange. One of the ongoing challenges in our youth exchange was the integration of disadvantaged or socially excluded groups in the community and their active involvement in international groups.<< Results >>Results of the project: • Project Video-clip, created by participants: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p98KnS784PY) • A blog of the project: (https://youthwaves4eu.wordpress.com/erasmus-projects/cultural-heritage-for-youth/)• Project`s presence was established in the context of creating content in all mainstream social media (Facebook, Instagram); all project’s info & activities were shared to all participating European communities and to all participating partners and participants. • Project`s poster was created by participants, with project's logos, Erasmus+ logo & INEDIVIM'S logo.• Project`s newsletter was created by participants.• A poster regarding the theatrical performance “Wandering Odysseus” was also created, including project's logos, Erasmus+ logo and INEDIVIM'S logo. • Story telling about Homer, written and adapted by Greek participants with the cooperation of Italians.• Theatrical play: some adapted Rhapsodies from Homer “wandering Odysseus”, by Greek participants.• An APV Info-pack, with all the necessary information and travel details about the project, projects’ activities, timetable, accommodation and travel details, reimbursement details, was created and sent to the participants, regarding the APV meeting.• A YE Info-pack, with all the necessary information and travel details about the project, projects’ activities, timetable, accommodation and travel details, reimbursement details, was created and sent to the participants, regarding the YE.• T- shirts with the project's logos, Erasmus+ logo and INEDIVIM'S logo, which were painted by the Art workshop of painting.Impact of the project:The youngsters:•Acquired practical communication skills and competences and got familiar with the cultures of other European youth that will be useful in their personal and professional development.

"<< Objectives >>Carrying out the ""The Wide Rainbow"" project is important because despite advances in rights and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in Europe, there are still many challenges and barriers to inclusion and acceptance in many countries in the region. The Rainbow Europe 2022 scorecard published by ILGA illustrates this reality, as countries like Luxembourg (68%), Spain (62%), Portugal (62%), and Ireland (53%) receive higher scores compared to Poland (13%), Georgia (25%), Hungary (30%), and Cyprus (31%).According to this ILGA report, there is still a long way to go for LGBTQ+ people in areas such as lack of visibility (in the media and in society in general), discrimination (both in the workplace and in educational and everyday settings), lack of legal protection with discriminatory laws, and lack of resources and support. It is important to address these inequalities and work on raising awareness for the LGBTQ+ community, especially among young people, as they are the future leaders and European citizens. Additionally, many LGBTQ+ youth in countries with lower rankings on the Rainbow Europe scorecard may face difficulties and obstacles in their daily lives, and it is necessary to provide them with a safe and welcoming environment where they can be themselves without fear of discrimination. With this project, we aim to:Promote equality and non-discrimination of sexual and gender diversity through awareness-raising and training for young people.Foster social inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community and improve their visibility.Strengthen human rights and individual freedoms for LGBTQ+ individuals.Develop skills and competencies in young people for the defense and promotion of sexual and gender diversity.Increase cooperation and exchange of good practices among participating countries in terms of equality and sexual and gender diversity.Improve the representation and participation of the LGBTQ+ community in society and public policies.Foster solidarity and respect for sexual and gender diversity at the European level. Therefore, the GENERAL OBJECTIVE of the project is to create a community of organizations and youth workers sensitive to the LGBTQ+ community throughout Europe to plan and promote inclusive projects for LGBTQ+ youth, as well as share resources, good practices, and advice. The SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES of the project are:Gather 25 youth workers from across Europe from countries with different levels of achieved LGBTQ+ human rights.Facilitate the participation of at least 30 LGBTQ+ youth (fewer opportunities) in CES volunteering projects within the project association - short-term objective.Plan at least 3 youth exchanges targeting LGBTQ+ youth (fewer opportunities) - short-term objective.Create a network of youth workers sharing resources, tools, and project calls on LGBTQ+ topics. These objectives respond to the needs of both youth work, the coordinating entity (FOCO), and participating entities. Additionally, they also respond to the objectives established in the Erasmus+ program guide for the mobility of youth workers.<< Implementation >>Translate this text into English: The main activity we will carry out is a 6-day mobility to create networks and communities among youth workers. This mobility will involve the participation of 25 youth workers from 8 different countries.During the mobility, youth workers will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, knowledge and good practices on LGTBIQ+ issues and youth work. They will also participate in workshops, seminars and team building activities that will improve their skills and competences in working with young people, especially those from the LGTBIQ+ community. The participants will be part of the staff of the project partners:FOCO (Spain) - www.focoeuropa.comBroader Horizons Plus (Ireland) - www.broaderhorizonsplus.comNetwork for European Citizenship and Identity (NECI) (Cyprus) - www.neci.org.cyALDIC (Luxembourg) - www.aldic.luAequalitas (Portugal) - www.aequalitas.ptDiverse Youth Network (Hungary) - www.dyne.orgUmbrella (Georgia) - www.umbrellafoundation.orgYoWo (Poland) - www.yowo.pl<< Results >>This project will benefit the youth workers involved in the project in several ways. First of all, they will have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills in the field of inclusion and diversity, which will enable them to improve the quality of their daily work and to provide more sensitive and inclusive care to the young people they work with. Moreover, by participating in a European project, workers will have the opportunity to network with other youth professionals from different countries, which will allow them to share good practices and experiences, and to broaden their vision and perspective in youth work.As for the participating organisations, the project will enable them to strengthen their capacity to work in the field of inclusion and diversity, which will allow them to offer higher quality services to the young people they work with. It will also enable them to establish contacts with other organisations in different countries, which may open up new opportunities for collaboration and funding in the future. To ensure the lasting and positive impact of ""The Wide Rainbow"" beyond the participants and organisations involved, several concrete actions will be implemented:1. creation of a strong and lasting network: during the project, collaboration and exchange of good practices between the participating organisations will be fostered, with the aim of creating a strong and lasting network of youth practitioners.2. Dissemination of results: A wide dissemination of the project results will be carried out through different channels, including reports, publications and presentations at relevant events, in order to ensure that they are known and used by a wide audience.3. Sustainability: The long-term sustainability of the project results will be ensured through the inclusion of a rigorous monitoring and evaluation plan, which allows the impact of the project to be measured and evaluated and actions to be adjusted accordingly.4. Strategic alliances: Strategic alliances will be established with the rest of the partner organisations in each of the countries, also including other organisations, institutions and civil society groups, in order to amplify the impact of the project and achieve common objectives. These actions are intended to ensure that the results and lessons learned during The Wide Rainbow project are applicable and useful to a wide audience, and that the positive impact of the project is lasting and long-term.At the local level, we hope that youth workers participating in the project will be able to take their new knowledge and skills back to their workplace, improving the quality of youth services they provide in their respective communities. At regional level, we expect participating organisations to share their good practices and innovative solutions with other organisations in the same region, fostering collaboration and cooperation between them.At the European level it will have a significant impact, especially with regard to the inclusion and empowerment of LGTBIQ+ young people. The network that will be created through the project will allow for greater visibility and representation of these young people in European Solidarity Corps volunteering projects. In addition, the project will encourage the creation of new initiatives at European level that address LGTBIQ+ rights and equality issues."

The TC ''Innovative Conflict Resolution Approaches for Youth Workers Through Non Formal Education '' is a shared project idea among 7 partners organizations (Italy,Spain,Romania,Lithuania,Bulgaria,Greece,Turkey). The main idea came as a result of several months discussions with relevant to the youthfield stakeholders, project managers' reflections, interviews from youth workers and youths and analysis of results and impact from other TC under YiA and E+. In a more specific context youth workers of partner organizations work in environments where they observed often and deal with acts of non desirable and non easy managing attitudes. The youthworkers mention that they would like to be more competent to face issues of conflict that happening in their organizations between local youngsters to refugee youth. They often refer to their personal and professional lack of skills and innovating methods to approach youngsters in order to confront several unexpected acts that happen in often basis. Some youngsters are observed to be less active citizens for their community welfare, easy attracted to acts of conflicts, xenophobia and discrimination. Additionally youth workers recognize that some of their youngsters are non very cooperative with them. Youthworkers admit that the main reason might be the approaches that sometimes/often they use in their organizations.Looking through these issues all partner organizations came to the conclusion that there is a serious need of designing a project to support our youthworkers to develop themselves professionally and personally. We want to suggest methods, examples, practices and share ideas through joyful learning using non formal approaches in order to empower them with the development of their basic key competences and with the increase their self confidence. Our project managers and trainers will:- implement tools and methods basically from Non Formal Learning (like simulations, debriefing, case studies, Role Plays, Theater based sessions, reflection etc),- promote visibility and disseminate along with all partner organizations the power of E+ programme and results;- bring and establish a stable and fruitful impact to the participants, to their organizations, to local, regional and wider LLL Society.
