The debates concerning the response to rising levels of migrants and refugees arriving to Europe have become substitutes for debates on exclusion, racialisation and global inequality. The reason why this partnership chose the SPORT sector to encourage social inclusion was because sport and physical activity can be extremely valuable in the context of social inclusion and integration. Main objective was to build a replicable sports event for sport clubs, using Sand games, in order to advance the inclusion, strengthening and employability of young refugees in Europe and the World. The project duration was 36 months due to pandemic.Core Activities1.To develop the “Sand Games” Sport event prototype2.To implement the first Pilot “Sand Games” Sport event3.To disseminate the development of the “Sand Games” Sport event prototype4.To support refugees volunteering and participation at the “Sand Games” Sport event Target groups and project beneficiaries are described as such:•young refugees 15-24 years old, living is refugee camps or rented apartments, who have limited access to employability and professional development;•sport clubs and associations, who will have access to a concrete event methodology, a manual for innovative sport event using games to be performed near to beaches, lakes and rivers;•trainers and coaches, who may exchange inclusion experience at transnational level;•sport volunteers, being trained by experts on proven volunteering methodologies during the pilot•local policy makers, to have access to the inclusion sport tool that will improve the social environment•local refugee associations, to have access to the inclusion sport tool generated that will improve their efficiency with social integration of refugees.•local tourism businesses, to host and provide services to people participating at such sport eventsPartners & participants: Four partners from Greece, Italy, Romania and Spain gather together to fight this by applying for a Sport Project called Sand “Games for social inclusion”. The project will take place in Kielce (in the Świętokrzyskie Province), in Poland. The inspiration for its creation was the PARAGEDON Festival of Physical Activity of People with Disabilities implemented in Kielce for 3 years. This year, over 100 volunteers willing to act and gushing with ideas for further activities helped in its implementation. This is how the idea for an international youth exchange project was born. The project aims to enable young people from Poland, Greece, Spain and Italy to actively participate in a weekly project in Poland and to implement interesting activities previously planned by themselves. The project involves young people aged 17-23 from each group of 8 people under the care of at least one coordinator. At least one person in each group will be a person with a disability (both physical and mental). In some groups, e.g. Italian, all participants will be people with disabilities. Hence, the Italian group will have 2 carers working on a daily basis with a group of young people with disabilities participating in the project.The EUROPARAGEDON + project aims to activate people with disabilities and promote their participation in society. The project involves the organization of sports competitions with the participation of children of Primary School No. 2 in Kielce, as well as the Integration School in Kielce. The event is to activate young people, show alternative ways of spending free time, as well as raise the problems of modern Europe such as galloping obesity and increasing social apathy caused by addiction to cell phones and computer games. The project will create a positive image of people with disabilities in society and show them as active people who take active part in social life and are fully able to work and get involved.The project will allow participants to learn about many social activation tools, i.e. boccia games, organization of city games and presentations in public space. It will contribute to the development of young people and the acquisition of new competences that will be useful to them to function better in today's commercialized world.Through the EUROPARAGEDON+ project, we want to build a knowledge-based and committed civil society. Thanks to participation in the project, young people will acquire new competences, which they will later use in adult social and professional life. They will improve presentation skills, strengthen language and social skills. Participation in the project is to teach participants responsibility and confidence. By participating in the project, young people will gain confidence, be more confident in using English and participation in actions activating the local community. The aim of the project is also to support dialogue between people working for the activation of people with disabilities, as well as decision-makers and people responsible for local policy. Thanks to this, the issue of disability and the lack of access to certain places for the needs of people with disabilities and the lack of educational offer for such people will be raised in a wider group.The project is to contribute to the creation of a positive image of people with disabilities in society, showing that they have an equal right to be active and to be active and active participants in the life of local communities. The project is to give young people self-confidence and educate future leaders who are willing to take up activation measures in their local environment. The project is to shape attitudes of responsibility for other people.<< Activities >>During the weekly program in Poland, participants will take part in educational workshops as well as activities developed jointly during the preparation for the project. The workshops foreseen at the beginning assume the integration of the group, intercultural learning, breaking the ice, so that each participant feels good, accepted during the project and part of creating a community activating the environment of people with disabilities. During the project, workshops were planned to motivate participants to create ambitious plans for the future. The workshops are to motivate participants to express their dreams out loud and think about the methods to achieve them.The most important point of the project will be the preparation of sport competitions for students of Primary School No. 2 and the Integration School in Kielce. This event will be fully prepared and conducted by the participants themselves. This is to promote among children the concept of social inclusion, tolerance for otherness, a different culture, show interesting ways of spending free time, raise the problem of obesity and social apathy among today's society, especially youth.During the project, intercultural evenings of individual countries were also planned, as well as joint performance on the market in Kielce. This is to promote the project more, its assumptions, and show interesting international activities that can be implemented under the Erasmus + program.One of the interesting activities during the project will be a city game, as well as boccia workshops conducted by a professional trainer, a former athlete, currently in a wheelchair. During both activities, fully fit people will be able to empathize with the role of people with disabilities. They will perform tasks blindfolded or in wheelchairs in the city. While playing, they will have the opportunity to learn about the culture and history of Poland and Europe.Project participants will take part in daily evaluation, thanks to which they will be aware of the educational process during the project. One of the workshops will be devoted to the preparation of events in their countries that participants will perform after returning to their local communities after the end of the project.During the implementation of tasks, a family day is also planned, during which people from Italy, Greece and Spain will have the opportunity to spend with the families and friends of participants from Poland. It will allow to get to know the real realities of modern citizens' functioning.Participants will work under the careful eye of experienced specialists dealing with socially excluded people, people with disabilities and promoting social inclusion on a daily basis. Workshops will be conducted by coordinators from Poland, Italy, Spain and Greece.From each country, 8 young people aged 17-23 will participate in the project. They will be people gathered around four organizations working for social activation of excluded people and people with disabilities in their local environments. Participants in each group will include people with both physical and mental disabilities. Project participants will be people who permanently cooperate with partner organizations, actively participate in preparations for the EUROPARAGEDON + project and integration workshops and on social exclusion.<< Impact >>The results of the project are as follows. Thanks to the implementation of the project, participants:- learn about the social inclusion of people with disabilities through sport;- learn about the possibilities of international activities in the area of activation of people with disabilities and the possibilities of joint activities in partnership with local stakeholders and in international partnership;- learn ways of better communication and cooperation in an international group;- learn the principles of self-acceptance, the presence of their skills and being active in their local environment;- learn group work, empathy, tolerance and cooperation, responsibility for others;- they will become more confident and will be leaders of change in their local environment;- learn to be open to another culture and representatives of other countries;- learn the culture and history of Poland and the European Union;- learn about the potential of the European Union and the opportunities offered by EU membership.Thanks to the implementation of the project:- 4 organizations from the European Union will build their potential in the field of international projects and interesting activities for the development of a knowledge-based civil society;- knowledge about social exclusion as well as ways of combating it and its negative impact on social development will increase;- bocci will be promoted as a great sports game accessible to people with disabilities;- primary school No. 2 and integration school will have the opportunity to participate in a very interesting project implemented by the participants of the international project;- after the end of the project, an event will be organized in each country to promote the results of similar sports competitions among children in Greece, Spain and Italy. Project participants will thus have the opportunity to check their organizational competences acquired during the project in Poland, and in addition it will be a great opportunity to recall the activities implemented in Poland and reflection on the informal learning process.- residents of Kielce will have the opportunity to spend time together with guests from other countries, learn to be open and culture.- problems of modern Europe will be addressed, i.e. obesity, social apathy, lack of social involvement, lack of acceptance of people with disabilities and social exclusion of such people;- a dialogue will be established between various stakeholders, e.g. educational institutions, local authorities, non-governmental organizations;

C4BIPS Consortium has followed the submitted and accepted work plan and activities. Therefore has produced all the envisaged outputs. More specifically:- It has made a pre-analysis of the and European situation concerning BIPS understanding and use in order to create a basis for designing Basketball Injury Prevention Strategies and the curriculum of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). In order to collect data about athletes understanding of BIPS an online inventory (http://c4bips.csd.auth.gr/first-inventory/) was created by experts in the project consortium in four languages (Greek, Italian, Spanish and English). The results (presented at “D1.1.1 Pre-analysis”) are in-line with previous researches about injury types and areas in basketball. These results have been communicated, presented and disseminated exploiting various dissemination channels as presented at “D4.1.2 Final Dissemination Report”. Athletes believe that injury prevention is very important and as a result this highlights the importance of gathering and presenting these prevention strategies in an accessible online platform. - Therefore a complete curriculum about BIPS has been created and provided through a MOOC titled “Basics of basketball injury prevention” and hosted at http://c4bips.csd.auth.gr/elearning/. The online course include annotated videos reading material, online presentations and online tests. This course provides basic functional tests to identify basic motor control, asymmetrical loading, deficient ROM or stabilisation abnormalities frequently present in healthy asymptomatic athletes. It also provides corrective exercises which aim to restore pain free range of movement, improve movement control and appropriate muscle coordination and conditioning to reverse these abnormalities and reduce risk of injury. The course also provides the basic background knowledge required to attend it and a glossary of terms to improve understanding and classification of corrective strategies. The main topics covered are Proprioception; Shoulder Girdle; Core Stability; Dynamic Control; Scapula Retractors; Scapula Control; Gluteal Strength; Squat; Hip stabilisers; Hip abductors and external rotators; ROM exercises; Shoulder ROM exercises; Spinal ROM exercises; Strengthening exercises; Spine; Stretching & ROM exercises; Hips; Pelvis; Achilles tendon; Ankle; Quadratus lumborum; Shoulder; Wrist; Elbow; Lower limb; Balance and coordination exercises; Sports specific exercises; Eccentric Training; Upper limb; Abdominal strengthening; and Functional test. The course is following distance learning best practices including in each section Learning Outcomes, Keywords, a guide about How to follow this course, Background reading material, Quizzes and Bibliography. According to the evaluation results [see D3.4.1] the project objectives have satisfied the target groups:-Users overall experience on C4BIPS was more than satisfying. In all the questions of the survey more than 85% of users were positive.-Users after the engagement with C4BIPS seem to prefer the use of MOOCs either as primary learning system or in a mixed system with both seminars and MOOCs. They believe that the knowledge they acquired through the MOOC could help them develop and improve their athletic career and they feel that they could implement this knowledge to their everyday routine.-The overall attitude of the users towards C4BIPS ecosystem is positive -Users have better understanding on BIPS.

There were 4 partners within the consortium:Stowarzyszenie Projekt Świętokrzyskie from Kielce, POLAND - the coordinator of the projectMargherita Sport et Vita from Margherita di Savoia, ITALYCooperativa Sociale GEA from Padowa, ITALY Networks of Cities with Lakes from Dorada, GREECEAssociation of Deaf from Split, CROATIA. EUROPARAGEDON was an initiative aiming to encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities for people with physical or intellectual disabilities through and in sport.The partners undertook the project in order to realise the following aims:- promoting sport as a tool for social inclusion;- empowering people with disabilities so that they can enjoy their full participation and benefit fully from participating in the society;- exchanging of good practises, methods to work with people with disabilities;- promoting international cooperation for the benefit of social inclusion and engagement in the lives of local societies;- pressuring the importance of enabling persons with disabilities to participate on equal basis with other people in recreational, leisure and sporting activities;- ensuring the accessibility and venues to as many people as possible;- encouraging people to lead healthy lifestyles and emphasising the benefits of being active;- encouraging strategic partnerships between some active organisations working within the topic of social inclusion through sport in Europe;-enhancing the policy concerning people with disabilities in Europe;Throughout the duration of the projects the partners planned 4 transnational project meetings in Croatia (Split), Poland (Kielce) and 2 meetings in Italy (Trani and Padova). No meeting was planned in Greece. All of them were completed as previously planned. All the mobilities were implemented in the same format. Each international mobility was divided into two parts - one day planned for sports activities including athletes with disabilities of different sports and disciplines, second for a seminar of exchange of good practice. The aim was to integrate the environment of people with disabilties coming from the participting countries, not only sportsmen but also their families, sports instructors and facilitators. There were different games and competitions organised each time depending on the composition of the groups (boccia, baskin, table tennis, archery, basketball, bowling, badminton). They were open for a general public and involving as many local citizens as possible. All the project activities were promoted in local newspaper and local media. Two transnational meetings were planned and coincided with the big sporting events organised in the city. In Poland it was The Festival of the Physical Activity of the People with Disabilities (attended by 800 participants), and in Padova together with the big Event to promote volunteering (600 participants). This helped in the promotion of the project locally. The second day was planned for the seminar of exchange of good practise between the partners. There were around 5 people participating in each mobility from each country, 3 from Greece. The number of the participants differed each time which was a consequence of the participation of the people with disabilities who had to be assisted. During each mobility the partners made sure to allocate time for the proper project meeting and to talk about the activities realised so far and plan the activities in the future. The partners were also discussing the possiblities of further cooperation. They applied for additional grant to realise youth exchange projects within the same partnership, which was successful. The cooperation between the partners was very successful, the communication between the partners regular and very efficient. The project complied with the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020 and met all the standards planned.
